She's a staff user, yes?

Yeah heh...I fear there isn't much difference anymore concerning her and my appearance xd But of course, she's much more muscular.
And yes...or sorta. Her fighting style is currently under heavy revision - simply because I never really thought about/never really used her for PvP or non-NPC'ed fights. In fact, with her weapon featuring the fork it's gonna be a mixture of naginata and quarter staff techniques (thanks to Chris introducing me to Seung Mina).

Iunno.. I always pictured Lucind not having a need for actual physical combat.
Her voice alone can be considered a long distance/short range weapon, and not many people can withstand sound based attacks.

Well, if this wasn't a mass group roleplay area and simply some sort of fictional product, be it a novel or series, she probably wouldn't be in need to use weapons that aren't her voice for I basically constructed Sirens to have the most powerful voices of all Gaia (i.e. the planet)...ignoring any god like creatures.
But to keep things fair, and also due to the reason that many users here deal with mental/psionic abilities much more light-hearted and carefree than I do, it simply doesn't work out. xp
Plus, once somebody does get into close range and is more or less immune to her songs she's forced to go back on other forms of combat. Okay, she still has her sound wave attacks, but they might fail to protect her as well.
edit:
Just take the scene at the forest, the fight against the pawns and rooks. It was pretty audacious of Lucind to step out like this, being stripped of her weapon and not knowing how the shades would react to her voice XD;;

There really are not a lot of creatures that can withstand getting their ear drums ruptured or driven to their knees by high pitched decibels changing every second...
And as cliche as it sounds, Lucind should be able to rely on people covering her.
But I can see what you mean... I just don't want to suddenly find out she's a master staff user with biceps that can crush a lesser man. >_>

*nods*
Should really start using those vocal attacks more heh. They're fun..
And well...I've always considered her to be a master staff user (without a monster biceps) - but like I said, so far I haven't really been into RP PVP fights and only went with describin here and there how she'd use all abilities including the staff.
Oh and by the way, I haven't yet even started working on the more elemental related abilities (wind 'n' water, 'course) she might have gained with the upgrade pirate

Where does the wind fit in?
I figure she can move freely underwater without restraint as she can on land, due to being a Siren and all.

Years ago, when I wrote the first version of the Siren myth, I stated that the god of water and that of wind helped the First Five Sirens having offspring...and no, not in that way lol, more like...well, if you're interested you can read it here. Also, I had to find a way to explain how, for example, her whisper technique works, which I don't consider a mental but a mere physical skill - sound waves being transported so only one person can hear them. Which is why I started mentioning it to be more related to wind magic then her innate vocal power. But I'm still extremely reluctant to have her develop more than such minor supportive add-ons. Actually, I highly doubt I'll ever start making her a half elemental or something like that, I'd rather expand her vocal skills.

Her whisper technique could just be derived as a use of sub-vocal (below the level of conscious human hearing) sounds.
If you need examples.. There's Songbird, Black Canary, Banshee...uh..probably quite a few others I cannot remember at the moment.
From what I gather Lucind has the 'sonic scream' capability, then probably the 'luring' voice type thing going on.. and other songs for different effects..
So I guess she'd be like a more...natural bard, or something.
She doesn't necessarily have to be focused around pure support, but I can understand what you mean.

Sub-vocal? Hmm, sounds interesting and would definitely fit better into my concept of trying to keep things as real as possible. *takes a mental note* Thanks for the tip.
