I wouldn't go so far as to say pissed, but I want this bill to die and burn in a fire. Once again this type of s**t just goes to show you how out of touch these old ******** in Congress are when it comes to the 21st century. At least, if its true, Obama has already promised to Veto those suckers if Congress does the stupid thing and pass them.

Any one else as pissed off about SOPA/PIPA as I am?

Yes. Though apparently SOPA is off the table now. I thought I heard it didn't pass Congress or whatever, but now they're trying for the latter. PIPA isn't any better neutral

"Yeah, if you're connected to the internet.
Connecting involves getting the ethernet cord out, something I do not do often.

Ah well having it always connected to the internet would solve that problem in the future. wink

"Our main 360 isn't wifi capable, and even so our router won't connect with my sister's GoW Xbox 360 for some reason.
It's a b***h to get anything that isn't a PC to work with our router. Hell, took me forever to get my 3DS to connect to it after ******** around a lot(but at least it can, unlike my DS Lite which I was forced to buy a Nintendo Wifi Connector for, though it was worth it).
Aaand leaving the ethernet cord out bugs my mother, so it's not an option.
So it's all up to whether I'm lazy or not... and I'm lazy if I don't think it is worth it(hence why I will do it for the next patch).

I know it's not Skyrim or even TES related...

But I seriously hate when I download DLC for a game, and then discover that it REQUIRES access to XBLMP to even be able to load the save-file.

I'm looking at YOU, Mass Effect...

What the hell happened to keeping a copy of the DLC on your local HD?

Did Microsoft kick that out?

Oh I know the pain you are dealing with, but in my case its Oblivion DLC, and my internet connection (at least my connection to my Xbox 360) doesn't always like to stay connected to Xbox Live.

I think it has to do with the dreaded DRM.

Taken from Xbox.com:

Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology is used by content providers, such as Xbox LIVE Marketplace, to control how digital game and video files are used and distributed. Xbox LIVE Marketplace sells and rents DRM-protected videos, games, and add-in content that are covered by media usage rights that allow specific uses of that content.

When you purchase content, you receive a license to use that content. The license has two parts: the system license and the local license. The system license applies to the gamertag that purchases the content, and the local license applies to the console where you first downloaded the content.

So basically, since part of the license is connected to your Gamertag, you have to be connected to Xbox Live in order to access your DLC.

Hey you guys... It's 3:42AM as I'm writing this.

I'm just going to go ahead and say this.

I used to get together with my friends. We would hop in someone's car, drive around, shoot the s**t, talk about random crap, and at near the end of the night, we'd go find some Marijuana. Then, we'd go over to one of the dude's places and smoke it. Then, we'd listen to music, or play videogames. Thinking back, I was surprisingly good at Megaman X when I was high.

Its been a whole 2 years since I moved away back "home" to Texas... I haven't done anything like that for that long. I don't have any friends down here. Except for one. My childhood friend, Patrick. And we do hang out, and we do play videogames. But, he can't even handle a drink of alcohol, because he has a condition in which his body literally rejects anything of that nature, and causes him to seize up.

I want to leave this s**t-hole town, but, we're poor, because of the crappy economy and crappy job market in this city/area. My Fiancee is lucky to have her job at Wal-Mart. I can't seem to find employment ANY goddamn where...

Every day, more often than naught, the Fiancee goes off to her job, and I'm left all the ******** alone for 10 hours a day, to take care of this house. To wash the deck. To do the dishes. To mow the lawn. To pick up and throw away the newspaper that no-body reads. To sweep the halls. My father isn't EVER home. He's out at his new girlfriends house. He basically lives there.

Now, I'm not saying that I want to get high off my a**. Because I don't. Not really. I miss my old friends, the ones from Ohio. There were so many great times. There were so many great people. 12 to be exact. And the worst part is... They all miss both me and my fiancee. They want us to come back to Ohio.

I want so badly to move back to Ohio. I ******** HATE it here. I'm a 25 year old man, who is living in his FATHER'S house, taking CARE of his fathers house. There's a reason I found my fiancee through this very website. Because I had the long-term goal of LEAVING this pathetic broken home in the ******** dust. This podunk town is too bland. All the friends I had once had as a schoolboy have either distanced themselves from me ( 3 ), moved out-of-state ( 2 ), want to kill me or at the very least, wish to see my life in miserable shamble ( 8 ). And the one friend I have left, even though he's the best of them all and I'm glad HE atleast sticks around... Well, he's nothing like the basest part of me is.

I'd like to say that I'm alot like Stu from The Hangover. I may wear the exterior of this dorky, videogame loving, anime-obsessive, stickly, awkward bi-polar kid.. But, deep down... Somewhere in there, there's this other person. He's alot like my usual self... But instead of constantly drinking Mountain Dew, and playing video-games all the god-damn time, and searching for a ******** job...

He smokes weed, while he beta-tests downloaded .ROM Mods, and instead of SEARCHING for a job, he's building the plans and laying the foundations for the sickest ******** Arcade/Videogame/OneStopNerd Shop you've ever stepped foot inside. Every now and again, when I smoke it up, I become a bit less "I'll rip your face a ******** new one" and a bit more "Hey, why don't we try to look past our differences and become friends."

When I smoked, and now that I don't, I notice a few key things.

First off... I have more frequent mental break downs. Like when I was younger. I freak out at NOTHING. I see things which aren't really there. I twitch. I blank out and say and do things, then I blink in, and I don't remember those things. If I exhaust my body to the point of mild fatigue, I feel the pre-cursor to a seizure, and I have to sit on the floor or in a chair and calm my heart rate, before I seize up.

Secondly... When I was actually on a steady source of grass, after I finished my bowl, and was down from my high, I was more mellow. I didn't see things that were obviously not there. I never had twitch fits, and I never had seizures.

I'm sorry if this all seems a bit... weird. Forgive me, I just needed to get this off my chest, and this was the only place I could think of to post this.

"If you're having these freak outs or seizure like attacks you should see a Doctor.
Obviously there is something wrong, but I honestly don't see Marijuana as a medication.

:/

I can somewhat relate. Little over three years ago I moved from MN to MO and hadn't planned on it being permanent, but ended up getting married to a man who grew up and lives here in MO and also has two kids (that live with the ex wife) so he doesn't plan on ever moving. All my family and what friends I had were there.....and since we had a kid (who is now two) I get melancholy sometimes about how sad it is that she'll never get to grow up around her grandparents (mine) and how they only get to see her a handful of times a year. I digress.

My husband is the one who works full time, I work about 25 hours a week in retail, and when I'm not there i'm at home doing some cleaning, taking care of a two year old, taking care of my husband via cooking ect, and somewhere in all that I try to find time to play a few hours of video games each week, and get on gaia. How I wish I had waited to get married and have kids....I love them both to death but there are so many days I wish I could be irresponsible and just play video games all day.

Ever heard of k2?

Sounds like a little weed might be good for you. I can totally see where you are coming from and what you mean. Don't really want to elaborate too much for self discriminating reasons but I hope you can get a job soon and have the chance to leave. Take care.
