Wait, Sun is gathering people up so Victor can TFO nuke them?
This sounds vaguely familiar.

I want to take a nap, but I have to go help weed the garden.
I think I'll just make some coffee before I go help. It'll give me a little boost of energy.
People are going to be nuked!? I want to see this.

Double time paradox created by him being killed before he can be killed by Tzen and the plotarmorsplosion from GTB.
Vahn can't die until... probably ever.

Apparently transitioning to a new apartment while having a single job that is one's sole income and, if one were to serve jury duty for an EIGHT WEEK TRIAL, his entire life will essentially be in the toilet, is not enough of an excuse these days.
Yet someone who's made travel plans already gets to leave with no issues.
So I have to have proof that my job won't pay me for the length of the trial, because $15 a day isn't even enough to cover half of a month's rent.
So... I'm pretty much FUBAR at this point.

I know. stare
I've only had to go once, so far, and I only had to stay half a day. I was paid $12.50 for half day, but it's $25 for the first full day, $20 for subsequent half days, and $40 for subsequent full days.

One lady tried to get out of jury duty. She told them she was racist. The judge yelled at her so much that she cried. xd And yes, the judge made her stay and serve. I'm sure they get that stuff all the time.
The best way to get out of one is try to find something about the case. Like if its medical malpractice think of something a doctor did to your or a family member and make it sound like you would believe a doctor probably deserves what he gets or some s**t.

No s**t.
People with travel plans pretty much get off scott free.
And California clearly pays s**t to it's jurors. Fifteen bucks a day for coming in nine to five each day. Just to take BART in cost me six bucks for the ride. Hell, I made more than fifteen bucks in three hours making minimum wage at GameStop.
*Grumble grumble.*
[Edit]
Yeah, they had us fill out surveys. It's essentially a cash-grab case. People vs. Corporation. The loss of human life is a terrible thing, but suing for thousands or even millions of dollars won't do much to bring that person back, and the company won't feel it anyways.
They'll probably look at my survey and figure I'm a damn hippie.

I hate jury duty. I think it's crap that they pay so low, even though $40 a day is about minumum wage here. If someone lives off more than minimum wage they are pretty much ******** you have to go back or did they settle?
