Vahn Fah I'll fight you, B. No sissy, pretend tai chi stuff either. Have to go back to the old days, the glorious days... just bloodying it up, day after day-- nothing mattered but seeing how much the other guy could take. I would retort, but it's natural for people to call tai chi pretend. I'll take it as a joke. It's the beginning steps I have to take in a place where the iron fist rules, and continue to try to show that tai chi and other internal styles are just as legit as the external styles you guys are known for using. ^^;;

Slifer Ozura Tai Chi is pretty good, but when combined with external its ******** nuts. Also, Shaolin kicks the s**t out of Tai Chi, anyday. Tai chi is only a general broad word for the internal style that originated in China. The style Vintrict uses is defensive, but he can switch it to offensive, or a balance between the two. People just give different names for the style a person assumes in how they move and use their punches/kicks.

I'm aware of what Tai Chi is, defensive and offensive. I just think the external side of it is much better, I.e. Shaolin.

Vintrict Tai chi is only a general broad word for the internal style that originated in China. No. Taijiquan is a specific style of neijia. Please stop butchering my culture. But I guess if that's the definition you're going by, then I'm not surprised as to why you were failing to apply even the basics of taiji in your first move.

The external side allows for a person to get things done. It just takes a while against more experienced people, be they hard to hurt or capable of deflecting your attacks much like you are. It's not much of a "finisher" style in taking someone out, but Vintrict has ways around that.
@Kraun: You're Chinese? Wow, that's something to hear. But I was wondering, then, if you knew of the style then why you were upset at some of the stuff I was doing. And then I realized that it was because I wasn't following the mindset that you placed on the art. There are more than one simple principle to tai chi, and you should know that. Even with the opening move, I don't have to follow the exact way of doing it from what others teach you. Basics are only a template to go by for more advanced techniques to be used or created by the user of the style themselves. Vintrict has been training in judo and karate, too, so you're going to see some different things outside of pure tai chi. Despite having trained in it through the early years of my life, I will admit that I'm still learning the style myself, so I'm no expert. But I do know enough about the principles of it to know how to apply it.

The basics of taiji is placed in a pull and push motion while sticking to someone, as practiced with the push hands exercise. It has little to nothing to do with circular movements and avoiding, which belongs to bagua.
