I need to read what's happened since my last post, but I don't have a problem with taking the shades as I am now- I WANT this stuff to be as challenging and dangerous as possible. It's no fun if it's not difficult, and honestly it seems like we've got it all well and covered.
Besides, Kon seems to apparently be dropping shades like nothing, I figure once you and Kain go from making grabby hands at Teira to fighting back you'll do pretty well, and now that it sounds like Kain has revealed he can fly I need Kael to get pretty well beat up or else he will grab him and everyone else with flight he can find and force them to carry him up to Eden right after the fight ends.
Which pretty much would be BAD END.

I've never fought them, and everyone else seems to be GM'ing their own... so I'm just here hoping I'm doing them justice.
I feel like the armor and the fact that apparently the vast majority of them are unarmed throws it a little though.

Well, I kind of decided that I would give all you bastards the benefit of the doubt, and let you NPC fights with them.
Which Rain and Kain both did a nice job of.
As for Kon; I just imagine the Shades he's kicking around to get back up after a moment, wondering if that was supposed to hurt them-- then watching as they start chasing him all around the place for comedic relief.
I had things move from the Stadium 'cause they got ******** for the Forest to get the same treatment-- so I cut the FMV short and am EXPENDENTIOUSLY RETREATING my a** to the giant rock in the sky.

Before-- it used to be villains outnumbering heroes.
Now it's the other way around.
Next time I'll be sure to roll with a 20 man posse. mad

It's you're own fault for all they hype.

I kind of saw the majority of Fracture and Frozen Flame being involved in the after-HoH events. I didn't expect a bunch of other people to show up too... which is why I'm just going to do what I said I was going to do (fight with Sali) and probably keep up with chasing after Teira as per the agreement at the Firebrand.

@ Shade soldiers:
I've never fought them before either. I'm treating the Pawns as just that; regular footmen of the shade militia. Individually, they're pushovers, but their strength comes with numbers.
The Rooks however are the meatiest of shields, and are hardly pushovers. It will take dedicated effort to take a single one down (hence, why after knocking them on their keisters, they got right back up and after me again).
I'm glad you guys think I've been doing it well, but when given the "You have X number of leaderless mooks to fight" ultimatum, I assume I have some creative liberty with how I handle things. Likewise, how I've interpretted Kon, is he's going around coup-de-gracing the downed shades, rather than barreling through them like the rest of us are trying to do.
But... I hardly think the heroes outnumber the villians, at least in total. Else, why else would Darsh's forces be doing whatever they're doing to the cities? razz Victor referenced that himself. And then there's presumably more shades than what we've fought.

Well apparently I'm not doing it right.
....and apparently this shield of Victor's covers Eden, not just temporarily the people down in the woods? I'unno. I don't really want to get up there until it's time for it according to the plot anyhow, assuming I don't have some other important role. This is just a matter of me looking at it and, well... it's fairly obvious they're going to Eden, and Kael is pretty convinced thanks to everyone's talk that things will be way, way bad if he lets them do as they please with her. I just need a way that I can explain my character not making every effort of taking on the suicidal task of trying to storm the place by himself.
