*Luke smirks and throws his head back as if to say 'Yeah, right. I guess I can dream'. There's not too much left of his breakfast at this point, but he works on finishing it. It also helps that his coffee has cooled down enough that he can drink it down.*

*Bard's just paying the bill when he gets back. He leaves two $20 bills under the sugar for their waitress, and when Luke gives him a look of mild surprise he shrugs*
She looks like she had a rough night.

*When Bard's out of sight, Luke grabs a napkin. He walks up to the counter and asks to borrow a pen. He jots down the price of the gas and the cost of the meal for future reference and sticks the napkin in his wallet. Then he goes back to leaning against the counter.*

*Bard clears some of the snow off the car, then stands still, letting the wind and snow whip in his face for a minute. The moment passes and he gets back into the car. He buckles his seat belt and turns the key in the ignition*
