It was back to work as usual and Benjamin was busy with his typical sales associate tasks as soon as he opened the store. The interesting talk with Avery made him intrigued about shadow creation but his research would wait till another time because of work for today. Thanks to the breakfast back home, he was feeling cheerful, putting on a professional smile to the customers whom he had greeted. But also, he saw a child accidentally dropping one of the books from the shelf and he had to help the kid out. The mother picked the little toddler up and apologized, and he certainly didn't mind the polite apology from the woman herself. But there were a few males picking on a defenseless woman and he had to boot them out through his professional warning. Indeed, teens could be rowdy, but not in this establishment.

It turned out that the woman was actually telling the guys to back off before he had to warn them to get out politely. With the nuisances out of the way, the blond sales associate chuckled at the remark of blood. "Customer complaints are indeed something an employee is not looking forward to, that one included." Cleaning the blood off would be a hassle so any belligerent scenes would have to stop there, or at least be settled outside far away from the bookstore. He glanced at what the woman had picked up. "You seem to have a good taste in these novels. Casual reader or an avid fan?" Customers have varying levels of interests so the woman may be a client that he was not seeing everyday.

Ben blinked in curiosity but still smiled. "Nice to know that. I have met lots of casual fans of novels, but there others who are die-hard fans." He then peered casually at the other materials the customer had chosen. "And how many pets do you have? I guess it's just one or you have a few in your house." It was then that a customer asked for help regarding on where to find the collection of classic Archie comic series. He excused himself politely towards the woman before having to cater to the request for a few minutes. The talk may continue later once the customer service has been completed for the avid fan of the series.

The conversation and service lasted for several minutes until the customer was finally content with his assistance. With that, the client left the establishment after the merchandise had been paid and Ben would now return to the woman whom he was still talking to. "I see that you don't have pets, so maybe it's due to your curiosity that you decide to pick them up. Or maybe you are going to help out a friend or someone else who may need the references." He then adjusted the hem of his shirt since it was now a bit askew. "By the way, name's Benjamin. May I know your name, miss?" Also, he sensed that her aura was peculiar. Another supernatural creature race he had heard of and he had only met a handful before moving into this city.

The car was parked upon the side walk, to which would soon involve a lot of nagging and reassurance before his brother, Rigel, would finally allow Camil to enter the establishment without another word. He had been rather protective and worried ever since the older male overdosed on medication. It was an accident, yet they all took it as a suicide attempt and as hard as he tried to keep it a secret from the rest of his family, they still found out somehow. Not once in his entire lifetume had he seen such a worried expression upon his brother’s face, and Camil would feel torn for making Rigel feel that way. Camil would receive a ruffle on the head, and his usual “give me a call when you want to leave.” before he stepped off the car. Camil could only catch the sight of his car leaving after Rigel made sure he was safely in the establishment. Perhaps Camil finally understood why Aria fell in love with his brother. He was a gentleman, whether it be towards a man or a woman. He was always kind, despite being stupid most of the time. Camil shook his head and chuckled, feeling quite blissful for having such a sibling. It was his greatest blessing, the best gift he could ever receive.

The bell gave a soft chime upon entering, and he’d walk towards the music section of the bookstore. He took a deep breath, taking in the scent of book pages old and new. Camil always loved the smell of bookstores, for it somehow calmed his nerves. He took a couple of books to browse, only to put them back on the shelves. Was there a purpose he came today? Or perhaps he simply wanted to dwell among books, feel the gentle pages in between his fingertips. He turned towards the counter, where he soon noticed a familiar face. Camil adjusted his glasses and narrowed his gaze. There he saw a familiar set of dark cresents beneath his eyes, a complexion that looked ever so horrible. His gaze would shift a little towards the right, where he would see light coloured locks of hair, and light coloured eyes. He seemed to have pale skin, and Camil would downcast his gaze. A worker, perhaps. His expression stiffened, and he would return to that cold person he was around people he didn’t know. The cold front he put up to drive people away. He walked up, setting the book down upon the counter. ”I believe this book is long dued. I forgot to return it last week.” he stated, his voice monotone. ”Is there some sort of fee I have to pay for a book overdue?”

Ansgar walked into the bookstore and yawned sleepily having stayed up most of the night working out at home, however the half-giant wasn't about to let this stop him from finding his favorite manga. However before Ansgar began his search he took a glance around the store and noticed three strangers however he chose not to approach them just in case his height scared them so the Half-giant decided to begin his search with a smile on his face as he also began to quietly hum a song.

His phone buzzed in his pocket, ans he’d pull it out for a short moment just to browse through it, to see who was looking for him. A message from Coralyn, it seems. Another from Rigel, too. Those two, they never give him a break, do they? Camil heaved a soft sigh and shook his head, stuffing his device back into his pocket. It doesn’t feel unpleasant that’s for sure. It was nice, having someone show that they care. It made Camil feel that he mattered, that it’s alright to want things, that it’s alright to speak his mind, to express what he felt. It may not seem like much, but to him, it meant everything, to have someone he could call a friend. A person he could truly depend on, no matter what the circumstances. He wondered what she was doing at the moment.

His golden irises widened in surprise, though, when Casey perked upwards all of a sudden. He seemed a little surprise, probably because Camil appeared when least expected. Camil remained expressionless, as indifferent as ever though he did murmur a soft ”Good morning, Casey.” but when his words and actions were met with a confused expression, Camil’s eyebrows, too, would furrow. Did he say something wrong? Has it been too long over due? Casey spoke, and it would take Camil a while to register what had been said.

"Cam, this is a book store. There's no book return unless your asking for a refund." refund? Book store? Camil took a look around, before his gaze found its way back to Casey once more. Oh..

Oh.

”O-Oh.. I think I m-mixed up t-the library and t-the-.. bookstore-” he answered, lowering his head as he downcast his gaze. He wanted to jump into a hole and simply bury himself for the rest of his life, and as indifferent as he would seem, his stuttering and the light shade of pink that dusted his cheeks would give him away. The coworker walked away, to which Camil grew a little less tensed. He felt awkward in the presence of a stranger, and he’d retreat into his shell, becoming the hermit he always was.

”I-..I- um.. my mistake- s-sorry..”
