Serieve You make it sound like a formula. xd And I know what you mean about your brain not shutting up when you''re trying to sleep. Those were some good ideas Araia. ^^ If you'd care to execute them, feel free. Do you think we could sort out and finish the minihshop idea by then? It seems like the months keep getting shorter. And for the fluctuating bit, I was thinking something short and fun... idea Hey, you know those short stories that you see floating around in chain letters and stuff like that? Not the crappy sentimental ones, but the funny ones. My sister saved a whole packet full of them, somewhere... They're like story-jokes. What if we had a few of those? Except I'm not sure if the person who wrote the stories is listed. But we could get around that. So something like a funny ancedote project? Or maybe, funny story summaries; mainly because I have one available. Quote: George Holo recently retired from the Royal Unicornion Air Force and was looking forward to long relaxing hours on the greens. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Requisitioned by the Coallition of People Whose Families Have Been Taken Hostage by the Squirrels to steal a shipment of mixed nuts, George finds himself being chased across the galaxy by the evil head of the galactic police, Captain Ze bra. Yes, that's exactly the word I was... not looking for exactly, but you know what I mean.
And the stories would need to be brief. The whole thing shoud be between a project size and an article size. We'll want to see your story, if you plan on putting it in. Assuming that everyone else wants to do this and we don't have any better ideas.
whee I remember reading one particular story my sister saved. I'll see if I can go find it.
EDIT: Found it! It's got a whole bunch of blonde jokes and stuff in it too. Some are funny and some aren't, but with so many in one place, it gets old. Anyway, the story:
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. The two were always getting into trouble and their parents could be assured that if any mischief occurred in their town, their two young sons were in some way involved. The parents were at their wits end as to what to do about their sons' behavior. The mother had heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children in the past, so she asked her husband if he thought they should send the boys to speak with the clergyman. The husband said, "We might as well. We need to do something before I really loose my temper!"
The clergyman agreed to speak with the boys, but asked to see them individually. The 8 year old went to meet with him first. The clergyman sat the boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?" The boy made no response, so the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone. "Where is God?"
Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face. "WHERE IS GOD?"
At that, the boy bolted from the room and ran directly home, slamming himself in the closet. His older brother followed him into the closet and asked, "What happened?" The younger brother replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time. God is missing and they think we did it!"

Story-jokes are the best. Funny story summaries aren't exactly in short supply either. xd Right, I'm going to start on some writer's blcok-reducing exercizes.

It depends on how many good ones you think we could get. We could do the same thing in the GD forum and probably get some funny ones. We'd just have to edit the chatspeak and use the stories with their permission.

We could put a thread in the WF to ccllect them in. Yeah; sadly that little blurb is the only thing I've managed to finish this entire summer. Though, I've expanded that idea abit more. I don't actually intend to write the story for a while as I don't want to get pissed off at it. Though I do like this idea we've got going here.

Getting permission wouldn't be that hard either; though it would be kind of hard to give credit to one person for things like this, seeing as they've all pretty much circled the Net three or four times. Plus, everyone needs a few laughs. This could really work.

Brainwave.
What if, instead of a whole segment just this once, we did the funny anecdotes as a monthly feature? Sort of like the funnies in the newspaper. Get people to submit funny quotes, story-jokes, maybe even the occasional cartoon...just use less each month than we'd be using for this giant project?
(Of course, that would add to the overall length, which could have...consequences.)

(Like I said, I have quite a stock of funny story-jokes, quotes, North/South comparisons, cartoons, and other assorted goodies. Finding a few each month would be no big deal.)
