Amelia was bored, thinking too much about her family. She walkeld to the book store caled Bookworms. As she walked in she smiled, she looks books. She walked over to the kids section, because she saw a shiny book and Amelia wanted to see what it was, she picked it up looking at it. It was a book about royalty. She put the book down, a little too loudly she noticed after a moment. Sighing she mumbled "Why does everything remind me of them?" she sighed.

xxxStepping into the bookstore, it was easily apparent that there were a lot of thoughts swirling around inside of Bo's head(surprisingly). His normally lazy gaze was more focused as he checked the titles of the books within a single glance, his long strides carrying him quickly past each shelf. With the way he was acting it could've come off that he was in some sort of emergency, but that wasnt entirely it.
xxxIt just so happened the pink-haired boy noticed something about his aquarium at home that really bothered him. Ever since he moved to Soleil all of his anemones began to die off. Which wasn't all that surprising, to be honest, but it still annoyed him a lot. He knew what would happen if he disrupted a mature tank, nonetheless he still missed the vibrant little critters. So if that was his problem, why was he at the bookstore? Simply because he needed to find something on aquarium anemones and he was too lazy to go upstairs to check on his computer. Well, that and he also took into account how nice it would be to have a book that he could carry around everywhere.
xxxSoon he passed by every aisle but there was still no sign of the book he was looking for. (Not that it was too hard for him to miss it considering the fact that he had only skimmed over everything.) In the end he decided to ask someone directly if there was any such book within the store. Dragging himself over to the nearest person, it just so happened to be someone mopping. With no care to check if the person even worked there first he spoke up in a low thrum. "Hey, uhh, got any books on aquariums?"

The sales associate was absorbed into his task, ensuring that the place was in top condition. Though the current weather was cloudy with the gray veil concealing the sun completely, at least there was no rain coming, and the chilly air began to permeate through the glass windows even with the lack of air conditioning. He was about to move on to check on the supplies that needed restocking when a male voice called out to him. His baby blue orbs connected to the client’s, though one of the eyes was concealed by the bang that hid a portion of the facade. With a casual smile, he attended to the customer’s request.
“If you are looking for suitable sea creatures to be taken care of in aquariums, the science section may have it. The pets section focuses on how to take care of the species as well as how to clean up the tanks. I may show you the way since this may be your first time here,” his reply would help in case the stranger would look for something specific.

Scanning through the rows, there were too many books on the fruit than Sorea hoped. He had to pick one from the bunch for now... When there was the sound of a book hitting the shelves hard, Sorea inched himself up til his eyes reached over the smaller shelves of the kids section. "What reminds you of who?" he inquired to the girl across the shelves.
Äura was seeing much of this city for the first time as they rode through it this very morning, trying very carefully to note whether they'd been taken down this street last night when dropped off at their home. They had arrived late after a stressful ten hour flight via plane. Trying to look around now, several hours after sunrise, they realized they'd been far to hazy and jet lagged to mentally paint the city for themselves the first time they possibly passed through. They hated vehicles of any sort, and so after dismounting one metal pod (and taking advantage of the fact they had ventured to this quant city alongside a dear friend) they had pleaded politely to share a ride. They felt mildly safer when someone familiar was present while they rode on transportation. It wasn't a lack of love for the vehicular machinery, heaven forbid, but they felt uncomfortable nonetheless when the bustling canister shut it doors and zoomed down the street -or the skies- at various speeds. Luckily, their things were shipped to the humble abode on Etoile and settled before their arrival; what a relief it had been to walk inside to such a sight. After such patience from Lai, and perhaps to serve as evidence of their gratefulness, the curly haired beast agreed to take Carlos the next day while the mother got acquainted with the city.
Presently, after a restless night's sleep and a meager breakfast, Äura had received the child and brought them along for the tour of their work place. There was this chariot of sorts that attached to the back of their bike that they were using for this. The eeray didn't recall the name, but the child with the split image of his paternal figure was riding in that. They pulled him along with each petal of their agile hind paws, a small breeze ruffling their hair as they slanted forward on a downhill path. "Please, do tell if I'm going too fast for your liking." They called back to the mesh windows that kept the child sheltered. It was very shady and nice inside, like a camping tent on wheels. For a heart beat or two, their ear were turned in anticipation for his voice, a small smile decorating their lips before they read the names on the passing store front windows. Ah, Bookworms should be coming up soon.
The stop was gradual as they pumped the breaks at their fingertips, their eyes swerving upwards to overlook the Cerise shop. They climbed off first, walked to a bike stand, and chained the metal frame into one of the designated slots. It was then that they walked over to the cargo basket on the left of their bike pedals, hefting up a box under one arm before unzipping the tarp door behind which Carlos was seated. They smiled, offered their hand to help him climb out. "Here we are. Please stay close for now." Their tail wisped to one side as they turned, adjusting the box and opening the door to let the young boy inside first. They were met with a store filled with four others, only one expressing dialog Äura could theorize to be that of an employee. Ah, they should have expected this. But shouldn't there be more employees? Perhaps in the back...
Smiling again at Carlos, the mechanic found a clear path leading into the belly of the store. If the blonde male was the only one on the current shift then they wouldn't disturb him in the middle of helping customers. For now they lead the boy to the office themselves, seeing contently that it was fairly small. A husky laugh left their lips as they placed the box on the desk and freed their hands for plucking the brunette off the floor and nesting him into the supplied rolling chair. "What would you like to play with while I unpack, Señor C? Äura asked as they laced their fingers together level with their breast plate. They may not be doing anything notably exciting, but the Eeray was happy to be left with the child of such dear friends. He was just so cute- we, handsome. They planned to take him to a park or toy store during their lunch break.

The small boy lifted a hand to gently rub at his eyes while he was being pulled along with the bike. Today he had been left in the care of Äura, and although he missed his mama, he was having fun with his strange friend. Carlos had often pestered his mother with questions about Äura, usually asking if they were a boy or a girl. So far, he was still as confused as ever. Although he had been told that Äura was special and wasn't a boy or a girl. Most of his questions after that had been left unanswered, as Lai obviously felt uncomfortable explaining it to him. It was a difficult concept for a child to understand, and just as difficult trying to explain it. But Lai had managed well enough. Carlos was currently curled up in this strange tent that moved, his golden eyes wide and bright with excitement as he stared past the mesh screen and at the world passing them by. Äura addressed him at some stage, wanting him to tell them if they were moving too fast. "Faster! Faster~!" He called back animatedly, looking out as they passed people and shops. Apparently they were going to hang around at Äura's workplace for a while, and he wasn't sure what they were going to do after, but he was sure it was going to be fun. The bike slowed and eventually came to a stop a while later. He watched as Äura chained the bike and waited until they had opened the tent thingy before stepping out with their help. "Okay..." Carlos nodded meekly and reached out a hand to cling onto some of the material Äura wore. He had never been to this place before, so he was going to stay close to his friend without needing to be told. He didn't want to get lost. The brunette awkwardly shuffled into the store, unwilling to run on ahead into unfamiliar territory, no matter how much he wanted to explore. Mama had taught him to stay with either her or Äura whenever they went into new places, otherwise she said he could get kidnapped. The thought of being taken away from his mama was terrifying, so he always did as he was told. The changeling gazed up at his companion with awe as he was led inside a building filled with books. Äura worked here? If he asked nicely would they read to him? Maybe later. Carlos gave a little squeak with surprise when he was picked up. He wriggled about on the odd chair and thought about their offer. What could he play with? "Can I help too? I promise not to break anything..." He looked up at Äura with a hopeful expression.
Äura watched Carlos fidget in the oversized chair his tiny frame rested in, their paws soundlessly transversing each step as they crept back towards the door and peeked out. Since they were here they may as well attempt being useful, for the sake of settling in. Hearing the boy's voice, the inventor smiled and stepped closer to unlid the box diligently toted with them. "I would very much like your help, little man. How would you like to make my desk look nice and proper while I hang picture frames?" This was the idea as they reached into the box and set out office supplies within the orange haired child's reach. As they grabbed thumb tacks in one hand and frames of art in the opposite arm, the Eeray began humming to themselves and moving to each wall. Surely they were very tasteful with a yellow, black and white theme to their decorations. Getting 'fancy' wasn't really their strong suit or a preference that had been inspired until the right persuasion came along. For now this would look professional, or so they believed, and showed they valued this simple job. "I believe we will have some leisure, ahem, play time before lunch. We could take a look at the store and help some customers." Carlos had a helpful little soul and Äura liked that, they felt it was okay to have the child at work with them. If not, then it could be forgiven or overlooked just this once. The visit was more of a check in than a full working shift, afterall.

xxxBo waited as the man took notice of him and turned towards him. It seemed he was lucky in who he approached since the blonde answered him easily, meaning he either worked there or went there enough to know. “Hah, yeah, it'd be, uh, the first... I think... is what I want." The boy rubbed at the back of his neck with an awkward smile. The information given to him was a little lost on him, his brain unable to keep up with the other's words.
xxxHis gaze fell away from the man briefly as he contemplated whether that was true or not. “Thinking about getting me some anemones for my aquarium but don't know what kind,” he decided to clarify in the end, returning his attention to the blonde. The man seemed like he knew better what kind of book he was wanting to find, so hopefully that information would help guide him in the right direction.

The male sales associated nodded in response to the first reply, humming at the sheepish gesture of the pink-haired boy. Considering that the client was somehow clueless about how to take care of the creatures that can be kept in aquariums, having to help him may equate to a casual conversation back in the cafe but with some work involved. “I can say that not all species can be kept in aquariums and they have different needs. I don't actually have an aquarium back in my house but I do read some info about them during my free time. Now, let me take you on the tour to the intended section, shall we?” Benjamin was about to do his task when two people caught a corner of his vision.
Aside from a few customers, the female hired as the new manager of the bookstore was together with a young boy. He acknowledged them both with a smile and a wave before sauntering together with the client.

Just another day at work for the sales associate as he went on with his usual morning routine as soon as he arrived from his Ombre house. It was a good thing that his day-off would start tomorrow so that he would take a break and do some quiet reading for his own. He sneezed a bit when the dust tickled his nose and he wiped it with a finger, just across the surface of the nostrils. Just where the hell was the others at a time like this? He would just have to endure being alone for the time being until a few customers would come in to check out on the merchandise. After all he needed the paycheck.

Ben was just done with the inventory arrangement, specifically on the comic section, when his blue eyes took notice of the gray-haired man. Based on his aura, the male's vibe was a bit different from the normal human being. Could it be that the being also possessed something special, like some powers similar to the blonde's? All throughout his life, his encounter with mages was only occasional. Or maybe, he may be just imagining things. That one aside, he greeted the handsome male with a cordial smile. "Good morning, sir. Anything that you need assistance courtesy of me?"
