Elrothiel stood up and turned in the direction of the sounds, frowning. She looked slightly relieved when she saw Elenath returning with the unconscious orc. "I think you're right." she said, "We need to tie it up, wake the others and then check the woods to see if there are any more about." She watched Ranu disappear into the trees. "I'll scout in the other direction. We want to make sure that they can't hit the camp while we're gone though."

"I'll..uh.. I'll just stay here and let you warriors handle this." Lassiel gave a nervous laugh and hid behind a tree. "I'm not much of a warrior anyways."

Elrothiel nodded to Lassiel, "I'm going that way. Keep alert. You should hear them coming though. Orcs aren't that good at keeping silent, but be careful." With an enouraging smile, Elrothiel disappeared into the trees. She planned to go out a little way and do a sweep before looping round to meet Ranu and the others. If the orc had been alone, he could simply be a scout which meant there could be more of them around. She made a mental note to go as far as the boundaries of the wood; there wouldn't be much point going far in as the ents would protect the inner areas - hopefully. She let her senses adjust to the wood and moved along stealthily. Here the noises were normal, there were no unexpected bird calls and the life was here in abundance. Not here then, she thought, and moved on.

Lasseil nodded, ashamed of her ingnorance. Sitting on a log she twiddled her thumbs absent mindedly, not hearing the orc that had creeped up behind her.

Elrothiel got to the boundary of the woods without seeing anything, but she approached the outer confines of the forest cautiously. She knew this area well, and the absence of bird sounds was conspicuous. As she crept closer she made out forms of a large number of orcs through the gloom, silently waiting near the edge. She frowned. That was a bit too organised for orc rabble. Then she saw the dark-skinned figure pointing small groups into the trees. That was definitely unusual. Someone obviously knew that at least one of them was here. They were also determined to make sure they never got away. Elrothiel gasped as she realised that the group that had just been sent in were headed right for the camp... and she would have to double round so had almost no chance of getting there first. She began to run.

The soft sound of a twig snapping was heard, a little to Ranu's left. He drifted closer, in an arch because where he was before was compromised. After a few heart stopping moments, he caught sight of 5 Orcs sitting on stones, looking alertly towards where he'd spoken from.

Leaping out, he released an arrow into an Orc, before throwing down his bow and dragging out his blue sword, which glowed softly as if in anticipation of the blood to come.

Flicking his arm quickly, he caught an Orc in the neck, just as it drew its sword. It crumpled on its neighbour, slowing them. Swinging his sword to block a thrust by a Orcish blade. He swung his leg and knocked the Orc down, quickly burying his blade in its chest. Tugging it back out, he ducked a face level slash, spinning his sword in an arch, he spun to give himself more speed, then sliced clean through an Orc's sword arm, then narrowly avoided a second attack. He took a step back and watched his two oppanents advance. He ran at them and at the last second, dropped to the floor and skidded along the floor past them, lept into the air and spun, sliding the sword into an Orc from behind, then stabbing behind him at the one armed Orc. He watched the last one hesitate a moment, then scowl at him.

Ranu shook his wrist slighly to ease the blood movement, then followed the Orc as he walked in a circle. The pair circled each other a few times, until Ranu was over his bow. He grabbed it swiftly, and walked with it in his left hand. The Orc ran at Ranu, who grabbed and arrow and quickly fired it at the Orc, missing by an inch and being knocked to the ground.

The pair fought savagely, kicking and -in the Orc's case- biting. Ranu finally gained the upperhand by managing to slam a fist into the Orc's throat, then rolling away and snatching his sword, letting the Orc stand before he slammed his sword into its chest, killing it.

Panting, Ranu rested his hands on his knees, and fought for air. His arms were numb. After a few moments he managed to wipe his sword, and put his bow -still strung- over his back, then knelt in the clearing, getting his breath back, although if he was seen, it may look as if he was hurt.

Elenath sat down and pulled his arow from the orc,then picked up its bade."this is what would have hit u in the back of the head" he said to Lasseil."here,"he said,tossing her the sword."more are coming"

"It's not my fault! They always pick on me!" Elrothiel retorted annoyed, before realising that he was teasing her. She shot him an annoyed look before burying her sword in an orc's chest. The orc kept running towards her, apparently not realising he was dead. He reached the hilt before abruptly collapsing, taking a surprised Elrothiel down underneath him, still holding tightly to her sword. She struggled out from underneath, bracing her feet against the corpse as she struggled to tug the sword free. "Where have you been anyway?" she asked conversationally, pulling at the sword as another group of orcs entered the clearing.
