Benjamin's azure orbs took notice of two new customers, both female this time. Unlike Leah, however, their looks were diverging from each other but still feeling comfortable with each other. He smiled upon seeing the faces that were friendly, though the conversation was about fairy tales as well as the legend of the Nanoa fruit. With that, he faced Leah with an apologetic tone. "Excuse me, Leah, I have to converse with the new customers. How about we meet up tomorrow at the establishment that sells coffee and some desserts? It's called Moonbucks Cafe. And here's my contact info. It's a pleasure to meet you." He picked up his notebook and pen and quickly jotted down his contact info, the number and his address in Ombre. He tore up the page and handed it over to her before leaving her to her own devices and approaching both the girls.
His steps with unhurried as he went towards the spot currently occupied by the two ladies. His tone was that of a professional salesman as he conversed. "Good day, ladies. May I help both of you?"

Katlyn Willan
Do every act like it'll be the last act you'll do
Katlyn listened to the summery of the book from the woman, though she couldn't help the confused look. A fruit that was suppose to determine you were soulmates? Now that was really weird. She gave a laugh at the end of her expiation, saying legends had weird twists like death. “Can't argue with that one. Like the Fountain of Youth, there's a reason no one has revealed the location of it, I'm sure. Or even Atlantis, suppose to be advanced and what not for it's time and look what they said, it sank to the sea. As for what to do if you're not soulmates, I would say it was up to the two people. I mean, just because you're not soulmates doesn't mean you can't be happy together. If the two decided they wanted to go for it, obviously they want it to be a lasting thing. Or they just did it for the memories, 'Hey we ate a supposed magic fruit together! Happy Anniversary.'” Katlyn said jokingly.
She smiled at the woman when she introduced herself. “Katlyn, feel free to call me Kat or Kitkat, not Kitty though. That's way over used and I'm still in my twenties. You can me Kitty when I'm about sixty and had been around the place.” She snicked.
Katlyn turned around to find that a worker of the bookstore had walked up to them, professional and everything. He was attractive, but hell, attempt at city romance would have to wait for now, there was bigger fish to fry, like making sure she kept her job. “Yea actually. Where's your gardening section? Got a knew job as a grounds keeper and I wanted to research the kind of plants they have. Don't want to get fired on the first week of spring because I over watered them. Also, new to the city, where's a good place to get baked sweets?” She wanted to know for many things, mostly because she didn't want to go hunting around when her sweet tooth started up and getting irritable from not being able to get any.
Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.

Romy refrained from revealing her knowledge of the Fountain of Youth for that would reveal she was from Florida and that forsaken place did not need another poor soul to know of it's humidified, alligator-infested existence. Her soft smile widen at the brunette's introduction and instance on not being called Kitty. While she thought Kitty was actually pretty cute for a nickname, she totally understood. The reason she didn't go by Rosemary was it sounded like she should be on Golden Girls. "It's good to meet you Kat." And she meant it. Other than her interior decorator, Katlyn was now the second person she knew by name on the island. Might be able to call the brunette friend if things go right.
When the store employee approached, Romy's eyebrows rose in surprise. Soliel had the largest concentration of non-humans she has ever encountered in this realm. What were the attitudes? Do the humans know? Back in her hometown, the humans there didn't know a thing and for good reason. They were in the Bible Belt and if they knew they had demons right under their noses, they might do something stupid like bring back witch-hunts and start burning people at the stake.
She shoulders shook with silent laughter when Katlyn explained her plight to the employee. She was pretty funny. "Why--?" She began to ask but quickly stopped herself. Katlyn's reasons for taking such a job was her own. "I'm fine." Romy smiled at the blonde. 'm just having a look around. Although...if you got any recommendations on some fantasy books, I'm all ears."

Benjamin listened intently to the brunette's inquiry about the gardening section together with the question about baked sweets. At that, his reply was elaborate. "The gardening section is located not far from the Science section, just a few shelves away from each other. You'll know that you're there when you see the section level on top. It has been designed that way to let the others know. Plus, I suggest going to Moonbucks Cafe since there are baked sweets there alongside the coffee and drinks. It's located not far from this bookstore, walking distance." He then focused on her job description. "Ah, you mean in Amour de la Mer? I know someone who works there as a chef. Her name's Solaris Windstorm." He hoped that with the referral, the violinist would be able to meet new co-workers aside from her boss, the owner of the establishment located near the beach.
The blond sensed a familiar aura from the brunette's companion. Perhaps she may be of a similar heritage as him, but that question would wait till another time. For now, he had to help the tanned woman. "If you mean fantasy novels, the fictional section is located on the right side. You'll find some titles that can be your cup of tea."
She threw a glance to the side of the store where he mentioned she would find what she was looking for but made no move to go there. It wasn't too often she met any half demons that dwell in this realm and she wasn't going to pass up this chance. If Katlyn overhears anything damning she'll figure out some way to explain it. "Thank you," Romy glanced down at his name-tag. "Benjamin." Her eyes narrowed on his face as her face twisted in what she would hope would be interpreted as confusion. "Huh..You know you got one of those faces." She began slowly. "I feel like I know you from somewhere but I can't say I remember any Benjamins. You ever been to the deep south or perhaps have family there? I sometimes go down with my mom when it's not too hot." She glanced over at Katlyn with a lopsided smile. "Never go to the deep south, it's a literal hell place." Her lips twitched as she tried to keep down the laughter bubbling up inside of her. This vague talking was pretty fun. Hopefully it won't go over the blond's head however. She didn't want to lay it on too thick.

Katlyn listened to the worker, glancing down at his name tag as he spoke. Benjamin, she would try to keep that in mind, since she was sure she would be back here again if she didn't get the right books. She nodded at the name of the cafe he gave. Moonbucks Cafe, definitely an interesting name. She gave the blonde a smile and a wave. "Thanks man. I'll check it out sometime. Probably in a day or two." She said with a snicker before letting Romy ask her question about the fiction books. She didn't think much until Romy seemed to try and hint at something as she continued to talk to Benjamin. Did they use to date in the Bahamas or something? Only kind of place she can think of that was hot and hellish if you're not use to the climate. "Well, I'll let you two have a conversation without subtext. Not to worry, no offense taken. Some things you don't say in front of strangers. It was nice meeting you Romy. Benjamin, thank you so much for your help. I will definitely check out that cafe." She gave them a wave and a teasing smile before walking off to find the science section that would lead her to the golden garden section she sought.

The half-demon girl's inquiry towards his origin was indeed perplexing, to say the least. His brow raised inquisitively. "And I certainly knew people of a similar heritage as you living in my birthplace but it might have been a long time since my memory's not photographic. I'm actually from England, the place of tea and scones. I grew up there for a long time before I moved into the city." At the description of that certain place, the blond frowned, since there would be a lot of meanings for that phrase.
He simply nodded in acknowledgment when Kaitlyn spoke her thanks towards the recommendation. "You won't regret going there. I'm sure of that." And he waved back as the human left for the titles she may be looking for. With the aspiring gardener out of earshot, he could now focus on the important interaction with the witch. "How about I'll grab my lunch first then we can continue on with the interaction? I need food since I'm hungry." He was thankful that he prepared pita pockets for the on-the-go grub.

After spending his time at the cafe, he immediately clocked himself in for work. As soon as he departed to the employee area, he left his bag in the locker before putting on his apron, entering the premises of the store through the back door. Since the weather was cloudy, the customer count was not as huge as during the sunny days, but it was still a lot to gain a lot of revenue and to keep the business flowing. It certainly meant one thing; he had to step up his game a bit, at least until the new manager would be coming to keep things in check. It certainly didn't help that Crevan and Casey were absent from the jobs either, but he couldn't stop them with the reasons mentioned beforehand.
So for now, he still had to perform at his usual pace, interacting with the customers and attending to the needs. He still kept his usual professional smile intact even when he was feeling the pressure.

Genevieve had been through a lot and she had the scars to remind her what had happened to her. She preferred to have them covered up but the the outfit that her mother had bought for her trip over had laces in the back that did not make the dress cover up her back so her scars were only slightly visible.
Her doctor had insisted that she come here and told her not to go straight to her new home and instead take a walk. The entire time she had walked down the street she was shaking and looked down because she there were a lot of men walking around. She managed to find something she was interested in. A book store so she went in not realizing that the person working there was a man.
She stopped at one of the bookshelves with her back away from Benjamin.

The water mage was feeling casual so far with his work. Thanks to the coffee, he was having the energy to keep himself going even with the weight of his job. But still, there was one kid that threw a tantrum at his mother because he wanted a comic book and the mom declined because of lack of money. The blond suggested if the bookstore would just reserve a copy for the child, though the duration was only for a week before the copy would be back on the shelf. However, the woman, being irrationally stressed out because of the child's cajoling, just dragged the kid away from the bookstore without giving the sales associate the straight reply, angrily scolding the child once they were outside. He sighed wistfully; parents could be shallow sometimes especially with a lot of problems forcing down on them.
As he turned around, however, the figure of the brunette caught his attention. he smiled as he approached the woman cautiously, in case the girl would be absorbed into her own thing. "Good morning, madam. Is there anything that requires my assistance?" His tone was calm enough so that the girl wouldn't be spooked out despite the customer rant early on.

Genevieve stiffened when she heard a man's voice. It seemed friendly enough but to her all men where the same, they start off nice then they will only turn on you and do things that her ex had done to her.
She quickly turned as to hide her back and her scars. She looked at Benjamin. "I....um....I.....I.....I.....I......" She had started to shake a little bit. She was never going to over come this fear if she let it control her. She took a deep breath calming down just a bit. Based on the uneasy expression and posture, Ben could tell that she was either shy or something must had happened that made her stutter towards strangers, though he didn't know if it was because of a specific gender. But at least she mustered up the courage to voice out the specific request. The water mage wanted to ask if she was okay, but that would wait till later, at least after the request was paid enough attention. His voice became more calm, at least to reassure the woman that he wasn't a bad person as she thought he would be. "I can guide you to the cooking section if that is okay with you, or I'll give you the directions. You may find lots of titles that suit your interests."
He still had to give her a choice, just to be sure. After all, she may be in a rush or prefer to be alone. Unless she was still uncertain on whether she went to the correct path or not.

After a hearty breakfast and his normal cup of coffee, his shift began on the bookstore, opening the door as per his usual routine. He heard about the paintball event in Essence de Soleil, but unfortunately, he was not interested and he preferred to go to work than to get splattered with paintballs. His time for fun would begin once he would have his day off, but right now, the establishment needed his presence for the time being. As soon as he clocked in, he began to mop up the floors first. There was no invoice yet for the restocking of some novel titles, so hopefully, the delivery would be coming any minute now.

Walking down the street whistling, Sorea was hoping he could find something there now. His destination was Bookworms. His objective, anything about this so called Nanoa fruit. If it was real, it would be a great find. A fruit that could tell soul mates, magic for anyone to witness for themselves. Of course there was the possibility it was just a placebo, but that was what he was here to find out. Stepping in, he headed straight to the children's section first. Some of the most interesting legends tended to start there. Scanning his eyes accross the shelves, he hummed a steady tone to himself...
