Preventer Void Scott is also in Fullmetal Alchemist as Hohenheim Elric; he did the job as a favor to Vic Mignona (the actor who played Edward) because they're friends. Of course, Tiffany "Asuka" Grant and Johnny Yong "Vash" Bosch also guest-starred in FMA for the same reason. ~Really?!? I didn't know that. Hohenheim didn't sound like Scott's voice. I recognized his voice as Kouga in Inuyasha, but not in FMA. I'll have to go back and check it out. ~I would like to input that I love both Scott McNeil and Mark Hildrith as voices for Duo and Heero. I though each one were suited for their characters, plus they are both heart HoT heart like their characters ^_^

I like the japanese voice actors and the english ones. The japanese ones sing really good (J-music fan I am ^^). Seki Toshihiko is Duo's voice and he also voices for Sanzo on Saiyuki. I like his music, and Midorikawa (Heero's) music a lot too. But the english voices are awsome, cept for Relena's >>;...

I don't think that I've seen the japanese version except for a few clips...But from what I've heard, they sound excelent. I also love the american voice actors from GW.
<< >> And yes...all the voice actors are HOT just like their characters. I about died when I saw the Japanese voice actor that played Heero.
lol I never realized that papa hoho was scott (it never really clicked into place lol) until I saw a kind of a behind the scenes thing with the voice actors. I about died and I was all like "OMFG I can't believe I missed that!!" and was freaking out and such...

I honestly think all the VA's did really great in their roles. I dream of meeting Scott McNeil. I totally would love to have him read one of Duo's lines from Gundam Fantasy ^____^ ::Squee::

I really enjoy the dub of Gundam Wing and find I have a hard time watching it in Japanese. It's not that I don't like the Japanese VAs, it's just that I have gotten so comfortable and attatched to the English ones. So far all but one of the English VAs for Gundam Wing have impressed me. Scott McNeil and Brian Drummond and the Dobson Brother's top my list. Michael Dobson(Mr.Winner) adopted me as Quatre's 30th sister when I met him. I felt so proud. When I told his brother about that a year later he was very excited and was all like "Oooh, we're related." It's all an act for the fans but I think it kind that they humour us at least. The only VA I met that REALLY did not impress me was Kirby Morrow. I have heard people praise him over and over but he came off as an arrogant show off when I met him and saw him at panels at a con a few years ago. Sorry but I was not impressed.

I dunno about Kirby, but I'm just impressed with voice actors on the whole. In fact, when I got to speak to Vic Mignogna a couple of years ago, I outright thanked him for being so nice and down-to-earth, because it makes the fans happy when they can interact with their favorite actors. He said that the fans make or break actors' careers, so being arrogant isn't an option. Still, he and most of the other voice actors I've met give off the impression of just being nice, good people, the type you'd love to know as real friends even if you didn't have the anime to link you.
And as for Kirby, I think the poor guy may be a little burnt out. If you think about it, he's basically spent almost the last decade being a hot commodity, thanks to playing both Trowa and Miroku. That, and I believe I've heard that while he tries to be nice, he's getting a little frustrated with all the insistant yaoi fans. In the end, actors are still just regular people like us, and they need their breaks and rests just like we do.

Perhaps I had just caught him on a bad week and I can see where you are coming from about being burned out. I guess I should ease up. And I know he's just a regular guy. I have for the most part just seen Voice actors as real people. Funny you mention thanking Vic Mignogna... I did the same thing last year... well okay I TRIED to. Actually I wound up crying and blubbering in front of him redface I haven't the slightest clue why either. I know he's just a person and just like almost all the other voice actors out there... but somehow I felt really over whelmed and just broke down crying. I was stunned when he just pulled me onto his shoulder and let me cry it out and collect myself too. I've always said since then that Vic Mignogna is not my favourite voice actor. He's one of my favourite people.

Yeah, my GF and I kept accidentally running into him a couple of years ago at the local con. It was a stupid coincidence, but fun. XD Heck, I basically had to force her into the autograph line, she was so nervous.

Robin the elusive Small update of interesting note. Has anyone noticed Brad Swaile has done 2 simillar characters over Wing and SEED? In Wing he did Quatre who was Arabic. Then he did Dearka who was Egyptian. Not to mention the fact both of their characters in the end are pretty decent or understanding ones. I don't think it's my imagination there. ALSO. Chantal Strand does Lacus one of my fav SEED characters and did Maremia one of my least fav Wing characters. Just bumping the thread up with a quote. Supprised Void didn't notice it or talk about it further.

TheIllustriousBlueJay I went to Anime evolution and got my copy of Gundam Wing signed by Scott McNeil. He said he'd gladly sign anything for someone who was holding him up at gunpoint ((I was Heero and had a cap gun)) xd I love the Ocean Group (I think they have a new name now though... confused ). I think they're all talented and so unique. From what you guys say, they seem like really nice, kind people too. 3nodding

Oddly enough the VA for Relena did Merrue Ramius in Gundam Seed. While I felt she made Relena too mature in GW she was perfect for Merrue in GS.

Actually, one thing I've heard is that Lisa Ann is herself unhappy with her performance as Relena, thinking that she made the character sound too old for a 15-year-old girl.
I still think she did a great job of it, myself. <_<
