T.G. looked confused, and a little bit terrified... Confusified. "corrupted? what do you mean by 'corrupted'? What's corrupted?" she whispered, getting into a defensive stance and readying her nordic shield.

Slowly, Clear started to follow the sound, "when the war ended, the Diamonds used a final weapon--the corrupting light--to destroy the minds of every gem left on Earth while keeping them intact. Essentially they wanted to destroy these gems but make them suffer by forcing them to continue to exist," he frowned saying it. His voice may have been unable to express any kind of emotion, but the sullen look in his face said everything, "I was fortunate enough to have survived, but most gems were not so lucky. Being chipped might be difficult, but it's not the worst thing that could've happened to me."

((sorry, college is starting up and i have no idea what i'm doing. that and my family insisted on me celebrating all the holidays and birthdays last month, jeesus.)) The large gem shuddered in horror, this was what she was once fighting for? "oh my stars, i'm- i'm so sorry. that's horrible." she followed him in silence until the corridor opened up into the main control room. Or what was the main control room. it seemed to be mostly intact, and T.G. instinctively looked up. and clapped her free hand over her mouth to stop the gasp from escaping her mouth. This was definitely the ship of Jadeite's she remembered from the war. From what Clear had just told her, it seems they hadn't escaped the corruption. "C-clear. you remember the Jadeite ship i told you about earlier?" she whispered, her eyes starting to well up with tears. "I think that's them." her shield wavered and shimmered out of existence, these were her comrades, she couldn't raise a weapon to them.

(It's cool! I understand!) "What?" Clear looked above them, and he too, saw the corrupted gems above them, and his mouth dropped in horror. He gripped his flail, "we have to poof and bubble them. It's all we can do," he said, getting into a battle stance, "are you combat-ready?" And glanced at her, eyes widening when he realized she was now-empty-handed, "where is your weapon?"

T.G. shook her head vehemently, "I cannot raise a weapon against them." she saw the insect like gems chittering amongst each other, looking more curious than angry. "i know i was a soldier before, but i wont harm someone i knew, even if they don't recognize me." she looked up at her former comrades, they continued their clicking sounds, one made a show of puffing up their fluffy collar and backing away. "Look, they obviously mean no harm. they haven't attacked us, even though they could have poofed us several times over by now." she pleaded with Clear, even clasping her hands together to emphasize her point. "Let's just leave them be, please?"

Sympathy washed over the phantom-like gem's face, as he looked between her and the insectoids. She was right, they didn't seem to be in pain after all, and he of all gems understood was it was like to choose a more pacifistic outlook on life, even if it was thrust upon him more than anything else. He let the flail disappear from his hands, "you're right," He nodded in agreement, then looked towards them, "since they don't seem to be harming any other beings, I guess we can leave them be. Do you know if they recognize you?" He looked at her.

T.G breathed a sigh of relief when Clear's flail dissipated, and she looked back at the Jadeite's slowly inching closer in a curious manner. She smiled somberly, she couldn't see them as anything other than the gems she knew them as. "i'm not sure, but i can find out. i was close to the second in command, i just need to figure out which one is her, and then i'll see if she still knows who i am." the big quartz gen stepped forward, hands up in a docile, 'don't hurt me' pose, and looked at the bundle of insect-like gems. "J-jetty? You up there?" one of the smaller gems cocked it's head and made a soft clicking noise.T.G. kept talking, recounting their friendship as it kept moving closer, about a yard away, it made a noise, like it was repeating the letter 'G' over and over. "yes! jetty, i'ts me T.G.!" the centipede gem made excited noises and clicked at the other corrupted gems. She gently nuzzled T.G. in happiness, who turned back to Clear with a smile on her face and a mess of white fluff in her hair. "i'm not too sure, but i think they remember me."

Clear narrowed his eyes, and for the first time, his eyes actually seemed to focus, and he glanced over each and every one of the corrupted gems. He looked into the essence and emotions of each of the gems and found, indeed, she was right. His face relaxed in moments, "it would appear so-- ah," He put a hand to his head and cringed, as though he had a sudden headache.

"Clear, are you alright?" the Jadeites looked towards him and mimicked T.G.'s tone of voice with clicks as the bigger gem took a few steps toward him, not wanting to invade his personal space but still wanting to make sure he was okay.

"I am fine," He rubbed his head, and gave a sound that sounded vaguely like a groan, "I have an ability, Essence Vision, where I can see the manifestation of what a sentient being is on the inside, beyond their physical forms... ever since my gem was broken, it was compromised. Sometimes it hurts to use."

T.G. made a sympathetic noise, but didn't comment on it. She knew some people didn't like too much sympathy, as it looked like pity. "well, what's the verdict on the Jadeites?" she grinned at him. "I can only assume you weren't using it on me." Jetty, the former head pilot, seemed to chuckle in her throaty clicking.

Clear walked over to a nearby computer console that appeared to not function and leaned on it, "they have to be your allies. Their essence is friendly and relaxed, and they appear to respond to you. They lost their allegiance to Homeworld some time after you left," He explained. He ran his fingers through his hair, and his fingers almost seemed to disappear into it, "seems like they've been waiting for you."

T.G.'s mouth fell open in surprise, "Aww, Jetty." she cooed at the green gems, "You waited for me? I should have come back sooner." she turned and nuzzled her friend, giggling. "You know i can't stay, i'm an incurable rolling stone. I have a whole world to see, full of life and beauty." The Jadeites clicked, some in sadness, others in irritation. "Oh, come on. you already knew this. i'll come back, I always come back. This time i won't be an entire galaxy apart, i'll just be on a different part of the planet." more clicks and chirps, resigned and accepting, but still irritated. "I promise to warp here every few cycles, okay?" more accepting clicks, and a lot of nuzzles and attempted hugs. "Heh, sorry about that Clear. I had to get a few things sorted out, hope you don't mind." she turned to him as her friends skittered back up to the ceiling or to one of the cracks in the wall. "you ready to go? or would you like to look around? i don't think Jetty'll mind."

Clear had to smile at the interaction, "it's okay, I understand the need to keep in touch with old allies. It doesn't matter to me where we go, there are very few places on this planet that I haven't seen. Though... hm," he looked at the console he was leaning on and rubbed his head, then looked to the Jadeites and pointed at it, "is this console functional?"

They turned to each other and chittered between themselves for a few moments. Some turned back to clear and nodded 'yes', one shook their head 'no', and the rest gave a few different signs for 'not sure'. The bigger quartz giggled a little. "looks like you wont know for sure until you turn it on."
