The hiss of a door followed by some light, rapid footsteps signaled his subordinate had arrived. Zach turned to Madelaine Taylor, taking his eyes off the screen again to see her coming in. She was holding a white mug with three letters and a heart on it arranged to spell out something. Zach had gotten her that as a birthday gift the first year she fell under his wing.
"I came as fast as I could!" Madelaine said, and although her introduction appeared she may have been running, she wasn't showing any sings of fatigue.
"There was no rush Madelaine." Zach calmly replied, glancing back to the screen. He rested an arm on the desk, rhythmically tapping his fingers on the side of his face.
Madelaine quickly connected the dots. "Still trying to piece the outbreak together?"
Madelaine had said the word without so much as a bat of an eyelash. Yes, there did seem to be a rise in mutant population, especially around his political domain, but the causal link was still missing. Zach casually got to his feet and wandered back and forth across the room, hands behind his back and looking down at the floor. He sometimes stroked his chin or looked at the ceiling, something he did often when thinking. Madelaine sat in a nearby chair, taking a sip of her coffee as she watched the boy. "Veteran's Port seemed to be the start of all this, as believe some beasts have fled to Hanover."
"How's Theo holding up?" Madelaine interrupted. Last she heard, he was stationed there with his squad, and no further details reached her ears.
"He's doing fine. But I fear they may be in over their heads."
"How? Can't kill 'em?"
"I would assume so. Which is why I feel I need to ask the Headmaster for some support."
"Don't tell me she's gonna get involved." Madelaine slumped to one side of the chair, her expression didn't seem pleased.
Zach knew very well who his cohort was talking about. Nicole McGregory. She and he often butted heads, partially for their ideologies, mainly for their species. Since he was a Senti, he, Madelaine, and Theo knew very well what the woman was capable of, but knew only the basic reasons about her motives. She wanted all of the mutant population gone, which was a universally mutual feeling, but the woman wanted to go further by destroying not only the beasts outside, but those who were even remotely infected as well, which included his own kind. "I believe I should take my concerns up with the Headmaster first, explain the situation, before we have a debate about it." This way, he hoped to have some kind of control before Nicole has any kind of say. She was highly regarded, although he never saw how or why.
Zach sat in his chair again, swinging around to look at the screen. The image of the horde of Young, along with the feed, were still present. He moved his hand across the desk and the two images flung up to the top-left corner, and soon his hands began to fly over the surface, folders and files popping up on the screen like the moles in an ancient carnival game. I'm not sure how much more I can dig up on it, the boy thought, but I'll try.

[ Darwin : Citadel : Council room ]
Waiting for the arrival of Zachary Hawkins, Darwin was starting to lose his patience. He had sent a summon with DAWN no less then twenty minutes ago. What was taking the boy so long? Glancing over to his current company, Dune, Darwin watched as the man busied himself by running system checks on the Citadel's defence systems. The Arabic bodyguard was always at attention. Always alert. A fact that bothered the aged headmaster to no end and plagued him with images of the young man barely sleeping a wink during the night.
“Dune, relax. We aren't in any danger. Where are Alcon and Barrage?”
The serious individual brought in a fourth holographic terminal with the wave of his hand and within a second he held their location, “Seems their helping Alanna Cartwright with some minor repairs to a malfunctioning andro unit down in the maintenance bay.”
“Both of them?” Darwin raised an Eyebrow questioningly.
Dune shook his head, “No, Alcon is helping, but Barrage seems too occupied with the opposite sex to even comprehend the word “help” in his vocabulary.”
Rising to his feet, Darwin turned to the closest window adjacent to his chair. A look of obvious annoyance apparent on his tired face. “When will that boy learn...”
Grunting, the bodyguard tapped the holographic window before returning to his previous task, paying little heed as the holo feed shattered into a million pieces while vanishing altogether. “I doubt he never will, even if you tossed a Goliath's corpse on his head, the man will still keep trying to sweep a woman off her feet. But miss Cartwright doesn't seem to even be aware he's there.”
Darwin chuckled, “well, usually a responsible woman doesn't. When she's already head-over heels for someone else.”
The Arabic man stopped in his tracks, looking to his charge with surprise. “someone else? Who? You don't mean, that robot?”
The headmaster had found it odd at one point too. But, he wasn't one to judge, life just worked in strange ways. Darwin knew that first hand. “Zurai, Yes. It may not be obvious to everyone. But that woman is a gear head to the end. You of all people should have realized by now. How she constantly always seems to steal a peak at him. How happy she is when he visits her. Add to the fact that he saved her life a few dozen times I'm not surprised.”
Dune felt perplexed. Yet intrigued. In all his life he had never heard of such a pairing. “Does miss Mcgregory know about this?”
Darwin nodded, scratching his beard, “She does and so does miss Taylor. However I doubt Zachary or anyone else knows, since Madelaine is often tight lipped about these things and Nicole seems to just think its a phase.”
Pausing for a moment to think, Dune absently shut off the two holo terminals before him, likely more preoccupied with the current conversation. Much to his charge's amusement. “I find it rather interesting that such a young woman could actually befriend two common enemies.”
The headmaster nodded, “yes it is very odd indeed, especially with the fact that each has their own assumption of the opposite's intentions. Zachary, apparently thinks Nicole wants to kill all mutants INCLUDING Senti. But I've spoken with her a number of times on the matter and have concluded that she only means the mutants and wants to give more funding to the PAAC so they can increase their research on a cure that can prevent advanced stages of heavy mutation. Saving countless Senti and human alike, well literally killing the disease.”
The entrance door hissing through off the conversation, as a slightly depressed Barrage dragged his feet in. The man, despite wearing a tight fitting bodysuit littered with enough muscle, weapons and equipment that even Rambo would be proud of, Didn't look so hot and it was likely do to rejection. Or something of the sort.
“Its like I don't even exist, what the hell is wrong with me? Have I, lost my touch?”
Darwin could only sigh, it was always the same deal with the young man. Get rejected, come crying to him. Same old, same old. Only this time he chose to ignore it for the moment “Anyways, Nicole is the same way with Zach. Apparently, she suspects he had something to do with her husbands murder, despite the lack of evidence, so, since either party will never admit it. They complain to me and I keep their secrets. Just like good old Barrage here. What happened this time boy?”

It was odd, but given the sudden summons from DAWN, even though Zach intended to tell the Headmaster anyway, he wondered just why Madelaine would take over for him. Although he appreciated the help, he always was one to do stuff himself. That isn't to say the boy's hardheaded or anything, just determined. And Splinterburg was no exception. Shrugging it off, he went on down the hallway with a slight smile for a moment.
The walk always did intimidate him. But it wasn't so much the walk as to who he was waling to. For some reason, although the Headmaster was intimidating in his own right, Zach somehow felt a growing fear in the pit of his stomach whenever he went mono a mono with the old codger. It was strange, even though he felt more comfortable whenever they were having debates with the others. Taking in a deep breath, he continued course.
Finally, his destination. Zach stood in front of a large sliding door, much like his, but with the Citadel's Logo painted on it instead of numbers. He'd have to watch his tongue, in case if it slips. He rang the buzzer just beside the door, the only way to gain access to what lay beyond. It took a few moments, and he heard a couple voices before the doors slid open, a somewhat discouraged Headmaster greeting him. Well, maybe not so discouraged as disappointed, perhaps due to his tardy arrival. He noticed Dune, one of the Headmaster's bodyguards, standing off to the side as he stepped in.
"Many apologies, sir, but I was trying to gather more information on one of the attacked Junctions." he paused, the doors sliding shut behind him as he stepped in. "Namely Splinterburg. Sadly, I have yet to uncover just why that one seemed to be attacked in the same time frame as Hanover, where Theo is currently positioned." the boy glanced left to see Barrage, looking a little glum, before redirecting his gaze back to the Headmaster. "I myself have never heard of such a case where not one, but two Junctions have been attacked shortly after a previous one was ambushed." To Zach's knowledge, the odds seemed astronomic, given that mutants attack few and far between, a span of six months or more in the same zone. This just seemed too odd to grasp. "I know Theo's already out in the field at Hanover, but I mustn't forget about the others, and for that, I ask for some more help. I'm not trying to extort the CEC," he raised his hands at this, as if he had been caught, "but there are innocent lives at stake, ones I must do my part in to help." The boy had never talked this much before without sweating even remotely. Perhaps care for the citizens helped calm his fear.

[ Darwin : Citadel : Council Room ]
He was a patient man, yes. But Darwin wasn't one who could answer everybody's problems and Barrage seemed barely able to understand reason, let alone try and realize his own faults with women. Much to the headmaster's own dismay. In short, Barrage was a hopeless romantic who had a bad addiction. One that seemed to revolve around hitting on any woman remotely attractive. Something that Darwin, Dune and Alcon seemed to suffer the fallout of the moment he noticed rejection.
“I try and I try, but she does not care! How can we even make a relationship work if she will not pull her own weight and pay attention to my needs!”
Barrage was distraught and apparently caught in his own world of lies. Seemingly assuming that he and his latest victim were already star crossed lovers. Darwin had encountered this case more than once before and seeing as his trusted bodyguard was now to far gone to even look the “tragic” truth in the face. The ideal precaution would be to let him sort himself out.
Hearing the sound of the entrance buzzer brought a sense of relief to the aged man as everything finally settled down. Dune, being quick on the gun, brought up a security feed and after a few moments identified the arrival of Zachary Hawkins. A man who seemed oddly tardy as of late.
While the doors opened to receive the man of the hour. Darwin could easily detect the small amount of nervousness the young Senti tried his best to hide as he entered. It was understandable, considering the situation and his own repertoire of being a commanding presence.
Almost Immediately the young man stated the progress of his situation while every now and again observing those around him. Despite having been given power no less then three years ago, after his predecessor was lost during an unexpected preemptive strike by a large raider faction on a convoy sent out to investigate an unusual disturbance in the more northern reaches of Canada. Zachary still seemed far too eager to impress both his comrades and Darwin in particular.
“I understand Zachary. It has come to my attention as well that your situation was likely a recurrence of the incident that occurred in Veterans Port also. I too have not encountered such an attack in all my years. It is baffling to see that the mutant population has increased its aggressiveness let alone its coordination.”
Zachary's information confirmed a sneaking suspicion that had bothered Darwin fairly recently. For one the mutants were more aggressive yes. But now they were also coordinated enough to assault two junctions simultaneously? It didn't add up. Even during the Goliath uprising of 2215 the mutants usually only attacked in a, erratic matter and even then, they were just searching for food. The more the old headmaster thought, the more it seemed to play out. But he needed more facts before assuming too much. This whole event could just be do to an evolution of some sort or just a common coincidence.
“I may just be jumping to assumption, but this feels far to thought out to just be a simple coincidence.” Darwin scratched his beard with thought as he continued to ponder what would be the true cause.
“Yes, I believe the same sir.” Dune chimed in, “but as I've stated many times before, we haven't the units to spare.”
The aged man sighed, there had to be something. “Zachary, will any sort of help do. Despite how small?”

Zach stroked his chin, pondering details from the Headmaster's words. "The same. I too, feel this is the work of some devious force, but despite the locations between Junctions..." the boy trailed, lost in thought. He gave a small, frustrated sigh. Whether coincidence or not, this was very unlikely for any mutant to act. Although an increase in aggressiveness between small families of mutants was common, it was the rising coordination that scared him even more. If a mutant to any degree was regaining brain power through some means, it would result in a pandemic of not one, not even two, but mass amounts of Junctions being raided relatively close to each other in time, even across the globe. And with such little enforcement the CEC had in comparison, the world would likely be overrun by the beasts. And that was a scary thought on its own.
Looking up, Zach thought for a moment on the Headmaster's question, although it wasn't entirely necessary. "If it comes down to resources, a small group of four or so should be enough to at least hold them back until we can get more." he usually had a hard time deciding what type of person to send. Although Andro units were the most reliable, they wouldn't be able to be fixed should they be destroyed. If humans or Senti went, they might be able to last a bit longer, but for how long was tied with how many mutants were on the scene. "Perhaps one Andro and three humans should do it." at this point, the man was gambling, but he had seen Theo come back a few times with only scrapes and bruises, nothing more. Although not every soldier was like Theo, he had assurance in their skill and bravery. He just hoped it would do.

One andro and three humans? No, if the situation was already as bad as he had heard it. Sending in regular infantry would only lead to more casualties. Though Zachary seemed willing to make sacrifices do to the situation, Darwin was slightly surprised at how easily the young councilmen could forget himself. Human and Senti life was more valuable then even the most expensive machinery. Especially in these trying times. Since parts could be replaced, not bones. No.. no matter how well a regular soldier could handle himself compared to an A.I. Or how sufficient they were at executing commands. Darwin had seen far too much blood spill already to easily send out a few more souls into the meat grinder.
Locking eyes with his subordinate, a look of disappointment clear upon his features, Darwin let the suggestion slide this one time. It wasn't just the suggestion itself that irked his resolve. But the way the boy had spoken it, as though sending a few men in meant nothing to him. The old man was now beginning to question, why exactly Zachary put such dark assumptions on Nicole.
“A single fireteam will have to do. But, you will need to plead that issue with the others.” Darwin stated, directing his attention to the Arabic man who stood rigid, obviously aware of his eyes. “Like Dune has mentioned more then a number of times. Many of us just don't have anyone to spare right now. It is an interesting fate indeed that the needs of the many out weight the needs of the few.” But I will vouch for you should one of the others have room to supply a team. A team hopefully composed completely of andro units.”
Bringing forth a holo-screen and accessing a few functions upon it. The translucent humanoid form of DAWN materialized before the aged headmaster. Catching the attention of a suddenly recovered Barrage, who's eyes seemed to be drawn to her. Despite the fact she was nothing but a simple program. “Headmaster Darwin, what is it you need of me?”
“DAWN, is the rest of the council finally assembled?” Despite already knowing the answer Darwin loved to be thorough at times.
The holographic woman looked thoughtfully for moment before nodding a confirmation. “all members are present and in their respective dorms. awaiting you summon headmaster.”
Taking a deep breath, Darwin cleared his throat as his two present bodyguards causally moved to their seating. “Have them answer the call, DAWN.”

[ Jack : Wasteland >>> Steel Town ]
They had finally made it. After hours of walking past destroyed structures and old monuments to the past world. The large gates of Steel town now stood before Jack and the others. The sight was welcoming, since, never had the mimic encountered such a large fortress like establishment. Picking up a faint tune emanating from within, Jack listened curiously at the unusual yet soothing music that played. With an assortment of instruments keeping rhythm to the tune of a man who sounded like he was in a sort of bliss, the track played and for a moment, Jack felt like he was in a whole other world.
Heartaches, by the number. Trouble, by the score.. Everyday you loved me less. Each day I loved you more..
Yes I've got heartaches by the number. A love that I can't win. But the day that I stop counting. That's the day my world will end...
Feeling an abrupt nudge. The mimic was thrown from this other world and smack dab back into reality. Startled, he quickly looked to the source, meeting a smiling Douglas who seemed to have noticed his trance like state. Much to Jack's own embarrassment. But the tune itself was something that seemed to draw your attention and slow down the fast paced, horror-filled, fight for you life world that he encountered everyday. It was like, (if he could taste) a sweetness that only left you wanting more. He wished to continue his listening.
“I know that look kid. I was the same way when I first heard. Trust me, you'll never get enough of it.”
Patting Jack's shoulder, Douglas directed his attention to an individual who stood on a makeshift balcony above that connected to a building which seemed more sturdy then most of the ones the mimic had encountered during his treks through dead cities. The man, was well built and armed to the teeth, with a distinguishing feature being the cowboy hat that shadowed his eyes. It was quiet obvious the individual was an authoritative figure of some sort.
With a hearty chuckle, Douglas gave a wave. “Well how's it going Sheriff Springs? Been a long while since I've seen you personally meet with me at the gate.”
Springs crossed his arms. “who's the red eyes?”
Red eyes huh, already Jack had his first nickname and it was one he didn't like. Not one bit. Douglas chuckled before cutting off to a small cough. “He's with me Sheriff.”
The man nodded, changing his focus over to Sera, with a smile. “Well low and behold the little miss herself huh. What is it this time? Crashed you vehicle again? Tch, I swear if you didn't know where your own two feet where you'd trip with each step. Then again, I have no clue how the hell I managed to train ya.”

Sera recognized that voice that was singing, wasn't that one of the butchers? For the brief moment, she scratched her brain to search for the name of the kid it belonged to. However, her thoughts were diverted when Douglas addressed someone she was sort of glad to see. After addressing her, Sheriff Springs made it sound like she was still a young kid barely able to survive in the world. Sera rubbed the back of her head, blushing slightly. "Eh heh, yeah, long story there Sheriff." But of course she knew the Sheriff. He was always willing to hear a new one, so she explained her predicament from the start, mentioning the attack during her roundup, the Young she found in her house, how she waited for its group, and promptly took off after, eventually meeting Jack and Douglas.
She would've gone on, but the music that they heard upon arrival struck her ears again, as the Sheriff addressed the other two, specifically "Red Eyes". I know who it is, but what the hell is his name? She's been in this town long enough to know each of the residents' names, but it was their professions and hobbies that stuck with her more. Being curious, she wanted to track down the resident, though at the same time didn't want to wander off without Springs' say so. She knew him well enough.
Heartaches, by the number. Trouble, by the score.. Everyday you loved me less. Each day I loved you more..
Yes I've got heartaches by the number. A love that I can't win. But the day that I stop counting. That's the day my world will end...
The chorus seemed a little more pronounced with certain words than when they entered, and still, the name of the singer escaped her. Eh, I'll remember it later, I bet.

[ Jack : Steel Town : Entrance ]
Sheriff Springs let out a loud whistle directed to someone beyond the entrance before waving his hand. A few seconds passed, then the large imposing steel gate slid to the left. Allowing passage and revealing a small thriving community in its wake.
Directing his focus on to Jack, Springs gave a wicked grin.“Welcome to Steel Town, red eyes. My! Domain...”
Jack just looked on in awe. Completely unaware of the man's ramblings as he followed behind Jasper and the others. “yep, whatever you say Sheriff.”
Steel town was in short, a well put together place. Judging by what Jack could see. Most, structures had been built from old automobiles. From homes to street lights the place was littered with metal and engine parts. Even some small market stands were put together through the use of car bumpers. But the town also recycled old world structures. From a few run down hotels to a corner store that now served as a restaurant, it did well.
The tune Jack had been put in to a trance by had now gotten slightly louder. Scanning for the source he found the emitter was a tall megaphone pole that shared the music throughout the entire place. It was not the source the mimic wanted.
“Yep Steel town is just one of the few junctions out here to have a working radio tower. They mostly broadcast old music that survived the Impact, this song in particular was actually their very first.”
A tall individual, with broad shoulders, a shaven head save for a pony tail, and a broken noose hanging loosely around his neck, stepped out of a small building abruptly titled “trading post” nearby. “Well I thought I recognized a face. How the hell are ya Douglas. Been too long. The Wastes still treating ya good?”
The old caravan driver smiled, directing his mule to stop, “Well what in the hell Ryan you know me. Never could stay in one place too long.”
Ryan scratched the back of his head,“ya that true, that's true. Uh.. listen Douglas, since your here I got some things I gotta talk to ya in private about. As soon as you can. So, when ya have the time, meet me at old Samuel's place okay?”
Douglas nodded with an obvious look of concern that was apparent to Jack as the mimic watched the two old buddies reacquaint. Ryan then gave a quick wave and strolled off while a newcomer poked her head out of the trading post door.
The old man sighed as he glanced around the establishment before noticing the woman and redirecting his focus to Jack. “Well, this is where we part ways. It was nice travelling with ya both. Have a good life and don't kick the bucket before me. Your both two young to do it.” With that, Douglas turned back and stepped into the trading post. Leaving Jack feeling a little bit lost.

"Weeelll, that's a sight you don't see everyday." Sera piped up after Douglas and Ryan left. Jack would probably be inquisitive, so she figured to shed a little light on what she 'saw'. "Ol' Ryan here doesn't usually show his face much, or at least I haven't seen him much when I've been here." Smelling the air - which caused her to cough - it reminded her to use her respirator. Once she did so, she looked around, trying to find a place to start. Her stomach gave her a lead, as it growled viciously. "Oh, right, need some grits." she looked to Jack, "I haven't eaten since...um..." but how long was it? It felt like a week, but it had only been the majority of a day, at the most. Still, those energy drinks didn't help curb her hunger.
"Hey, you hungry? I know a good place here that makes great meals." and with a wave of her hand to follow, Sera started down the street, occasionally brushing her hand over pieces of metal that made up various structures and posts. Peeking back every so often to see if Jack was still following, she made a left around a building before coming to Z Street - the reason it was named thusly was because, from an overhead view, it looked like the letter 'z'. Sera pointed to a building on the northwestern curb before making her way over there. "Trust me, you won't be disappointed!"

[ Nicole : Citadel : Council Room ]
The council assembled within the meeting chamber, A small plethora of questions roaming around the room as they waited for the Headmaster to bring order. Questions, that the one in charge of the North American US quadrant didn't really care for, but tried to seem concerned do to appearances.
“I wonder what it is now?” “I don't have time for this nonsense! My quadrant needs me!” “This is Just great, more bad news.” “I heard from miss Cartwright that this had something to do with the Canada quadrant.” “What does she know, that woman is nothing but a circuitry worker.”
Nothing but a circuitry worker huh? If only these idiotic big wigs knew the young woman like Nicole Mcgregory did. Then they would realize, Alanna Cartwright was anything but simple. However, their mindless blabbering did bring up a particularly interesting subject that Nicole was more than delighted to relish. So, the Canada quadrant was in trouble again? This almost seemed too much. Glancing over to the man in question, Nicole decided to play the part she always played with these meets. A concerned motherly figure.
“Zachary, are you alright? You look troubled. I hope the others aren't bothering you. They just seem so stressed what with all that is going on.” She loved this. The worried look she was giving him would easily spike some kind of rise out of the man. It always did and she always chuckled at his embarrassment. But this was only the icing on the cake, for Nicole knew that this man had taken someone dear from her. Sure he may not have remembered it for all the blood he probably spilled after. But she knew. His posture, his silhouette, everything matched up perfectly. it had to be him. No, it was him.
It took everything Nicole had to restrain herself from losing her friendly persona and if it had not been for her years of experience prior. She may have. Oh how she wanted to strike her revenge right then and there, against him and all his kind. Oh, she wouldn't kill them easily, no, no, no, that wouldn't do. Each death would take time. Only then would she feel satisfied.

Zach didn't answer her, and instead, simply glanced in her direction, feigning a look of frustration at nothing in particular and heaving a sigh in hopes of throwing the woman off. He knew his nemesis; she was like a present, with all that concerned, motherly wrapping, but open the box, and you'd regret it. He had tampered with that before and found a bit of who she really is. If it boiled down to it, he'd have to accept help from her, whether he liked it or not. Even if it meant her personal bodyguards, those odd robots that always put him off. He looked out at the rest of the Council, the members idly chatting about his quadrant, while some a little more concerned with their personal lives and whatnot. If Zach wasn't the one in need, he'd probably respond to a few of them. It wasn't that he was being cold, not to them, it's just that he couldn't think of anything to contribute.

[ Jack : Steel town ]
Following along like a mindless robot. Jack trailed after Sera who had politely offered him to join her in eating. Though the mimic required no intake of sustenance. He knew of no one else within the city besides the young woman and Douglas who had abruptly gave his goodbye. A goodbye, that blindsided him. Leaving the mechanical man a little stunned.
But he was sure they would meet again. After all, the old man was a survivor and thanks to his knowledge. Jack now felt like he was ready for anything. A thought then hit him. He had forgotten to say his own goodbye. Perhaps after hanging with Sera, he could try and catch the aged man at the gate and give it then. Ya, that would work, according to the caravan driver's friend, he still needed to meet him at this “Samuel's place. So he probably still had time.
Now the question remained. What was on the menu. Jack's mind raced as he continued to follow Sera, anticipating the food's he would see and also agonizingly not taste. It was a cursed existence. Him not being able to eat. To not taste a succulent meal that everything else could. He despised taste buds.
“Hey handsome... going my way?”
A middle aged woman, dressed in rough looking attire. Stepped in front of Jack, knocking aside Sera rather rudely. The mechanical man stopped in his tracks, taking a quick step back. Surprised at how his situation had changed. With a dumb look of extreme desire plastered on her face and a light wobble in her step. Jack knew instantly what was wrong with her. She was drunk. Completely out of her wits.
“Your pretty cute for a man... How's about yous and me go someplace private for a while?”
Jack didn't know what to do. He didn't even know he was attractive. But then again. Alcohol was good at making things “look better” at least according to the old caravan driver. The woman took another step towards him, this time catching one of his wrists as he tried to backpedal. There was no escape now and he didn't want to hurt her. So he did the only thing he could. He took it. Like a bat out of hell Jack's pupils went wide as the intoxicated woman dipped him like a dancer and planted a long, deep, breath taking kiss that could make any fainthearted individual pass out. Unfortunately for Jack, he didn't.
Flailing his arms wildly, desperate to pull her off. The mimic struggled for freedom, scared of this sudden attack on his personal space. Never had he expected something such as this. She was bold beyond words and he, wasn't ready.

Sera was about to cross the street when suddenly someone shoved her, causing her to fall. "Ow!" she cried out, landing on her side. After getting to her knees, she let out a grunt before looking up to see her new compatriot forced against his will into a drunk's kiss. The sight always disgusted her. Sure, people kissed a lot, but when someone was drunk and the other sober, it was always one-sided. Not to mention Jack looked completely off-guard when it happened.
"Oy, get out of here, go kiss someone else, you crazy lady!" Sera shouted once she got to her feet and promptly kicked the woman in the rear. The woman didn't retaliate; she got what she came for, and drunkenly wandered away. I swear, some people in this town...
She turned to Jack. "You okay?" but of course he wouldn't be. An attack like that would scar someone for life. But just to be on the safe side, "She didn't hurt you or anything?" Sera then averted her eyes. "If I was assaulted like that, I'd sock them one!" Sera demonstrated by swinging her arm around in a punching motion, but not too close so as to actually hit Jack.
"Anyway, we better continue. It's right over there." Sera crossed the street, heading for a building called "Steel Meals"; but of course the food wasn't made of metal, it was just keeping with the name of the town.
