Mort's face lit up at the news that he too was a zombie. Sure, there was Moure and Christof, but they were patchworks - not the same! "Good see represent!" he said happily. "Come f-for practice, sometimes games. Contest makes better. But is great score for first-time!" He seemed truly happy someone had beaten his score - really and truly, he hadn't meant to set it so high on his first go. At the least Mr. Angry, the white-tailed ghoul, and the reaper were having a good time.
"Chuppi! Chuppi, m-meet Xander, made good sc-"
. . . Wait, where had the Chupacabra gone? Mort turned about several times, but the short ghoul was nowhere to be found. "Mrrr . . . First Freya, now Chuppi. Wonder if l-loud noises scare off."
Personally, he was attracted to them.

The return wink made Xander very happy but Mort had begun talking again and so Xander returned his attention to him. "Yaaaeeh! Zombies representing~" He laughed, giving Mort a friendly pat on the shoulder. It appeared that the boil had somebody that he wanted to introduce to Xander, but that the ghoul had already left. "Ah, don't worry about it. I'm sure they'll be back. I'll have plenty of time to meet the other inhabitants of the academy at some point" Xander also couldn't understand why loud noises would scare anybody off. If he heard a loud noise himself, he almost always went to investigate.

Levi's head snapped to look toward West. Yew gotta smart mouth, bird demon. She gritted her teeth at being called that again, just about ready to sock him one right in the gut. That was not the way you showed respect to your teacher.
But 'I can see this 'is yer sorta song. So I'll give ya tha win. Nice work, West. Her tail swayed side to side and she moved to pick up her soda again from the top of another machine nearby.

Damien WAS watching. and the smug smirk on his face said it all.
But just in case, he decided to make it known with a slow clap. "Winner winner, cockatrice dinner." he said slyly to the angry demon, that seemed a lot less angry at the moment. he still found it cute that the demon was so enraptured with his progress, or it must have been that competitive spirit. "Maybe I should try that song and see where it gets me."
with that in mind, the eager pup began to push west away from the pad and went looking for the song in all its bubbly glory. "Don't focus on the song, there's only arrows and a beat." he began to mutter to himself, even Melas joined into the mantra as he zoned out of the game and did the semi unconscious movement required to play the game. "left, right, left, up,right, down, cross!" and watched as the game screen came to a close and waited to see his score.
"Well well well, looks like I beat both your scores." he said like a pup that won the race, and trotted off the pad to revel about it to the pink hared boil.

A scareade machine with bright lights? Flashing colors? Singing? Dancing? Prizes? It was a game after his sweet siren heart, (which he was told by a very creepy monster one day, would be delicious in some scream sauce). The blue bird was ecstatic to try the game, and thought he was going to blow everyone away. Mostly himself. He was a siren and the song had singing so… he would be a natural at this.. or something. Sure he still was struggling to sing, but he was still a siren. The proud blood and FEAR of his ancestors rang true inside of him. He was going to be the best dang siren his flock had ever seen! He’d do them all proud... one day.
Stepping onto the machine, head cocked to the side, his ear wings flicking around back and forth. Now… A glance to the ghost ghoul and back to the machine. She would start- OH JACK IT HAD STARTED. Clumsily picking out a song, his boots tapped against the floor panels with a obvious awkwardness. Oh jack this this was going to ruin him. He had gone in confident, but now that confidence was a bit on shaky ground. Tap tap tap, click click click. He was as indecisive as ever as the songs were scrolled through a third time now. After a while, Israfel just figured he’s go with fate. Setting it to random, the machine wheeled around until.
“Oh no..” One of the most difficult songs judging by the way the little arrows pointed and filled out. He had a few seconds before it started. Just calm down he told himself. He had this. He had all the time he need- a boo from the machine as the song had begun and he was rapidly loosing points and not gaining them back or making mich progress as all. Jumping, he almost fell over, a chirp of mercy from his and the song picked up tempo and beat. Just how in the world had anyone managed this? It was insane. Slowly, the end of the song was drawing near, and Israfel couldn’t have been happier. This machine was a bit of a challenge. And by a bit, he meaned it pretty much had kicked his a** quite thoroughly. So much for a siren’s pride. Or his siren blood. Or heritage. Or well.. just about anything.
Poor Israfel.

The siren was a bit crushed after his first attempt but that was just it. It had been his first attempt ever after all. Puffing up, Israfel steeled himself to give the machine a second try. Of course, this time he was going to try and not clumsily stomp around like a cider ailed bird brain who couldn’t tell sky from sea and was ready to not just hurt himself but others as well in the process. Unintentional hurt of course, Israfel was not malicious, he was just so jack damn clumsy was all. His failure might have been a deterrent but the siren was rather stubborn, and not about to just give up and walk away, not when he still had a chance at redemption. Getting on the mini ‘stage’ again the tap tap of his boots on the panels was a little more confident. He knew what it was doing and how it worked this time around after all. The cycle of songs still were run through about three times before he finally settles once again, on random. The song selected looked to be in the medium range, and much slower than the previous. Perhaps he need not worry so much now.
Light flashed and colors flickered as the music began to play, a short lull before the stepping madness would begin and the siren would flail about he was caught by insanity. The first step this time was caught and as he continued, he didn’t seem to miss too many, nor, get to many ‘boo’s from the mechanical crowd. That was certainly progress wasn’t it? Israfel thought so. As the song ended, he watched it rack up the score. How did he do? Did he fail again? He had been better this time. He didn’t want to have to be embarrassed a second time in a row. The score finally showed and Israfel let out a pleased chirp. It was better than what he’d gotten previously, that was for sure. (Okay so just by three points but it was still an improvement and that mattered to him).

Zurine thought she might be getting the hang of the music and the patterns the more she watched and when there was another chance to take a turn she decided to try again. Choosing a song that she had heard the others play a few times before - and thusly thinking she might recall some of the steps - she gave it a go and by the tiem she was stepping off the machine again she was pleasantly surprised, if nothing else she seemed to have improved a good deal from her first tripping try.

After his second time, the siren walked off and watched another ghoul play the game. She wasn’t bad at all! Harump! Feathers puffed out as Israfel thought to try a third time, that was the charm right. The same motions. Random song, strange ‘dancing’…and his score…well same as last time wasn’t so bad.

Moure didn't often come to the scarecade. In fact, he wouldn't have even come in if he hadn't noticed so many others entering the building before him and heading for a particular game. The patchwork watched curiously, noting that they were all apparently playing a slightly-hacked-into(?) dancing game. DDD. Moure took a moment to decide if he wanted to give it a go, then nodded. Might as well, after all. It could be fun.
When Moure's turn rolled around, he stepped up, cycling through the songs until he found one that seemed to be a normal DDD staple. The song had a strong beat, and Moure figured he would/could hopefully be able follow the fast pace.
Or not. Apparently Moure's lack of know-how was evident, and his score wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best. Pretty much an average. Ahwell, he'd just have to try again, that's all.Attempt #: 1 (First Day Attempting, First Try of the Day) Minisite name: Trira Total Score: 21 + 3 = 24

(All my shame ;; )
As others tried, Israfel was determined to get better. He had to! His pride as a siren was on the line after all. Getting up (on the dance floor) he set the song to random. Then he proceeded to actually do pretty well! YAY HIM. His feather puffed with pride. Now the question was, could he beat that score too?
