Adorei floated through the Sea King's skull, absent-mindedly phasing its brain through the skull, killing it instantly. He tossed the giant gray-matter to one side and sat down on the collapsed skull of his quickly-fallen annoyance, looking down at the other annoyance that, despite himself, he was getting mildly fond of. "Took your sweet time, didn't you? I've been here for ten minutes at least. Oh, right. Air pocket."

Adorei extended his Rejection field fivefold, enveloping the entire floor of the building in an air pocket so Ilsa cou;d breathe. The air, pulled from the lungs of the deceased Sea King, was slightly rancid.

He saw the look that the frog-Neptunian was giving him and smirked. "Looking at something, frog-boy? The Seven Warlords have higher standards nowadays. Neptunians aren't much of a challenge."

Despite herself, Ilsa managed a watery chuckle. "Webll Willb bwee bwammed..." she managed to blubber out...before she promptly passed out.

"Big Sis? Big Sis! Yo wake up!"

At the feeling of someone slapping her, Ilsa instantly replied with a merciless punch upwards as she blindly sent someone flying. They went off with a yelp, and around there was a cheer. "Hooray, she's awake!"

Ilsa managed to blink her eyes open. She was surrounded by Frankies, who were all oddly dressed in scuba gear. A submarine was floating in the ship entryway behind them, and they all looked like they were two minutes short of going diving. "Good thing you got here!" the HF sighed in relief. "We were about to embark on a daring adventure to rescue you when Big Bro Ado came up and said you found the blueprints!"

Ilsa looked down. Still clutched in a death grip was the chest, and she was immediately uplifted with both exhilaration and the many excited arms of the Frankies. They threw her in the air as they all hooted, and Ilsa waved the chest above her head. "Yatta! I got it, I got it!" she chanted.

They went on giddily for a while, before Ilsa came to a realization. "Oh right! I gotta get to lazy-obachan's house!"

"Yosh! Let's go!" cried the Franky Family.

And so, at four in the morning, Ilsa and the Frankies began to pound noisily at the doors of the Fire and Ice Tavern, hollering loud enough to wake a deaf person. "LAZY-OBACHANNNNNN!" Ilsa screeched. "CHILLY-OSSSSAAAAAAAAANNNN!"

A flowerpot smashed against the side of the building a scant inch from Ilsa's head, one of the shards nicking her ear. "Wrong door, dumbass! They're asleep during the day, go 'round back."

The disgruntled fellow-barman tucked his head back in the window and got back in bed.

Adorei glared for a moment at the closed window before turning back to the door and simply passing through it. He needed to speak to Myra before Ilsa got a chance to. She was already awake with all the noise, sitting up in bed beside her still-sleeping cousin. Adorei approached and looked at Myra with a raised eyebrow. "Dragon."

Sergei was fully awake at the voicing of the code-word he had long ago internalized, though it had been ten years since he had needed to use it for any purpose. Both of them looked expectantly at the ghostly messenger, clad in the form of a male in his mid-30s. "They found the blueprints to the Oro Jackson, with my help. My stipulations to them are twofold. One does not concern yourselves, but the second is that, after confirming the existence of the blueprints by the cover sheet, you burn the entire thing and destroy the remains. Boss Roger swore with his crew that the Jackson, once sunk by his own hand, would never see light again."

Then, appealing to Myra's business-sense, "And the plans are worthless in any case. No shipwright in the world would recreate the Jackson once he saw the blueprints, nor would they repair it if you made it yourselves."

Myra and Sergei looked at each other for a long moment, then nodded at Adorei simultaneously. "We'll go let them in."

Adorei floated through the front door as it was opened. "Ilsa-girl and myself go inside, no-one else. No arguments."

the Frankies, as terrified of Adorei as they were enthused with Ilsa, nodded in near-unison and backed off. Adorei went tangible and offered his hand to Ilsa. "Beauty before power, milady."

"Lazy-obachan!" Ilsa said excitedly, ignoring Adorei and walking right in. She extended the chest out, grinning widely. "Shishishi, I got it!"

"She got it! She got it!" the Frankies were cheering outside, gathering the combined frustration of the neighbors. Myra merely smiled sleepily, taking the chest. "Ahh, much obligied little sailor." she nodded drowsily. But remembering what Adorei said, she gestured Ilsa to a couch. "Hey you've been up all night no? Take a nap, Adorei can make sure I clear the evidence."

"Well..." Ilsa found her mouth cracking with a yawn, and she shrugged. "Okay. But you gotta burn it. Promise?"

"Promise."

And so Ilsa was out like a light, snoring on the couch as she laid splayed out, exhausted from an night of wild antics. Sitting in front of the newly lit fire place, she turned to the locked chest in her lap. "Shigan," she whispered quietly, before piercing the lock open with her finger. It crumbled away at the force, and the chest creaked open as she lifted the lid.

Inside, dry and thin with age, were the blueprints. But as promised to Adorei, she would not read past the cover. But the cover was enough proof that they were the real thing. With both the flag symbols and seals of Tom and Gold Roger, Myra could only sigh in amazement at the piece of history in her hands. "The ship that went all the way around the world," she said, putting her face in her hands. She was almost loathe to not reda further, but a promise was a promise. She shut the chest and stood up.

But as she picked the blue prints up, something fell from the pages. Surprised, Myra looked at her feet. And in paper, younger than the blueprints themselves, was a letter. And the name "Franky" was written across the front.

Shock was the least of it. And she turned to Adorei uncertainly. "Adorei? Did you forsee this?"

Adorei had not known specifically what would happen, but centuries of experience with pirates had given him a shrewd guess that at least one major event would occur at the opening of the chest. He picked up the letter and examined it casually. "I am rarely disappointed, Myra."

He slit the letter open with a fingernail and extracted the letter. It was addressed to Cyborg Franky of the Straw Hat Pirates (though it didn't use the title or crew name), but since the Cyborg had been dead for decades Adorei saw no direct harm in opening it. The letter was short, but touching. "Hah... Still proud, even at the end."

He wordlessly handed the letter to Myra and walked through the back door onto a pier that they had installed to keep up with the rising sea level. He gazed out over the ocean, letting his mind slip away to remembrances of old friends and older crewmates. Smiling faintly, he looked out over the moonlit ocean and hummed a quiet tune.

Ghostkin Pirates live, my friends,
Over oceans, then again.
Ships nor sails do bind us true,
Only friendship 'twixt us two.

Ghostkin Pirates sail the seas,
Wanderlust binds thou to me.
Tarry not, the tide does flow,
Oceans wait, away we go.

Ghostkin Pirates, naught but myth,
Told by sailors whiskey-tripped.
But come with me, my oldest friend.
Let the Ghostkin sail again.

Old friends. Old memories. Two hundred years gone, and he still missed the old guard, the memories as clear as if the Maelstrom had claimed them only yesterday. The tune faltering on his lips, Adorei switched over to a language that no living being had spoken fluently for five hundred years. The funeral song of his people, dead and gone for centuries, floated out over the waves.

"Codladh, mo leanaí. Faoi dtonnta, codlata. Codladh, mo chairde. Deo codlata."

And he repeated the tune, over and again.

Myra looked puzzled at his retreating back, before reading th letter.

To Franky,

If you've found this, no doubt you've seen the marvel of my finest creation know to man. Even Puffing Tom couldn't match it eh? I hope you too have gone to birth great and mighty ships of your own skill, and you did it all with a don!

But this ship means more than just freedom and the ability to go wherever you can dream. It is also the reminder to the world of what a weapon such as Pluto can become if bent to the proper will. This ship may never sail again, but the potential of the future is limitless as the neverending ocean. Go forth in this world and you're sure to buiild great things!

Tom

Myra smiled, sighing softly as she threw the blueprints into the fire. The blue paper burned up immediately, swallowed by the flames, but she hung onto the letter. It was a greater treasure than the blueprints.

"Ilsa," she eyed the snoring sailor with interest. "What curious stars were you born under, I wonder?"
___

"Waaaaah!" cried the Frankies, "It's already time for you to goooo?!"

"Oh stop all that crying," Mizuki snapped as they saw Ilsa off. "It's unbecoming of men! Besides, goodbyes are never forever right? Knock it off!"

"A deal's a deal, right lazy-obachan?" Ilsa said, "I fufilled my debt, so I gotta keep on going until I get home to Fishman Island!"

"Mind the Sea Kings," Alix noted.

"And be sure to drop back by," Myra added with a grin, still in her pajamas as they waved her off in the early morning.

"Gero, gero!" Sushimi was croaking his own goodbyes to the tadpoles, who gurgled back as the pair went into the water. "Oi, Ado-kun!" Ilsa waved, "If you don't hurry we're leaving without you!"

Adorei smiled wanly from the head of the boat as he started floating away. "I can fly, Ilsa-girl. I'll catch up. Just want to visit a few old friends."

He didn't wait for a reply as he floated slowly towards the giant '7' on the side of the city. Made of steel and onyx, it had never needed to be maintained. Carved into the topmost steel bar, untouched by weather or violence, was a short inscription that Adorei paused at, kneeling on the air and tracing ghostly fingers over the inscription.

Disbanded at this spot by their Captain.
May the honored dead forever rest, free of pain and ill.

Chef 'Racer' Oboros

This dedicated today by their surviving member.
May they rest in peace.

Captain 'Ghostkin' Adorei
March 4, -402 - eternity
'Sail forever, my friends.'

The third Ghostkin Pirate crew rested here, beneath the waters of this town. As with the two before and the one after, Adorei remembered every face crystal-clear, though the years were long between. "Two hundred years, friends. So long, but so short. I will visit again, in another. Rest easy until then."

Turning, he hugged his arms close to his sides as he floated back towards the ship on the horizon. Faint, ghostly tears fell slowly from his eyes and were borne away on the breeze.

"Could I get another Tall Mug of cola here?" William said from his corner seat, raising his mug up to show it was empty. He'd been drinking soda like this for hours. He'd aklready had 50 refills, and showed no signs of getting full or of getting fatter. "I know I've drank a lot but I can make it up to you. I swear. How about if I cook for you? I make a mean stew, and one hell of a cup of coffee if I do say so myself."

Myra looked over her shoulder at her husband and the man who was, because of a rather complex geneaology, both her father-in-law and brother-in-law. "What d'you two think, mm?"

Johann, her father-in-law, re-formed into his solid form from the dust cloud he normally traveled about as so that he could shrug. He'd eaten the Yomi Yomi no Mi almost forty years ago and had had his body cremated in an attempt to achieve the state that he now occupied. The downside was that he was slowly losing the ability to assume a corporeal state, but he had at least twenty years left before that, at a rough estimate. He had married Mizuki, Myra's older sister, just after the death of his previous wife. She had died bringing Faust into the world, and Faust Munsehr had married his adopted cousin just six months ago. "Wenn er für die Getränke bezahlen kann, dann soll er trinken."

Myra nodded, fully bilingual in Common and Gardenian as a result of years of exposure to both, and slid another drink across the bar to the pirate with the bottomless gullet. "There you go, sir. Might want to be careful, though."

Faust looked over at his wife, who shrugged when she noticed his glance. If the pirate wanted to drink himself under the table, it was his own fault. If he also wanted to be seen in Ice and Fire, the tavern whose owners were related to an Admiral, it was also his own fault.

------

Sahtya Kravinoff appeared at the end of her Iceline on the edge of the city. It had been almost a year since she'd visited Water Seven, and she wanted to see how her family was getting on. After an hour or so of walking around and getting her bearings, she headed off in the direction of Ice and Fire.

William downed the drink rather quickly. "I Understand fully what you mean by that. But I can't get drunk, And I'm more than able to handle a few marines, be they wet behind the ears or drenched in their careers." Then he sighed, "I was born in this town if you remember correctly. I've only been in 10 fights, and haven't lost a single one." He sighed and rubbed his chin while stretching his mouth open in a yawn, "Now then, Let me show you a thing or two about cooking stew," And he started walking toward the main bar, in truth heading for the area behind it and the kitchen.

"I hope you aren't going to allow that boy into my kitchen, Myra."

A woman in her mid-40s looked out from the kitchen, glaring at William as if he had threatened to do something unspeakable to her. "Step foot in my kitchen and die, boy."

Myra stepped in front of the older woman. "Sorry about that, you might want to sit down now. Mizuki's very protective of her... territory."

------

Dressed simply, and without her badges of rank or her uniform, Sahtya entered Ice and Fire and sat down at a table near the stairs. Alix, her sister-in-law, came over to take her order and got halfway through the Soup of the Day before recognizing her. To her credit, the oldest living female in the extended Kravinoff family barely batted an eye. "So I suppose you'll be wanting to stay 'til after hours, then?"

Sahtya nodded, smiling. "Yes, and a pint please."

Alix nodded and resumed her rounds.

"No need to be so hostile. I grew up in this area, you might remember me as that fat squirt who always came in here for sodas. Took ten years, but I slimmed down," and he smiled a genuine smile. "Though I guess I never wisened up." Then he scratched the back of his head. "But I can see that neither has anyone here. We haven't changed, any of us, No matter what some of us have consumed." He was referencing the devil fruit he had eaten, the munch munch fruit. His tone went from happy to serious as he said that word. "If you wish me gone I will be, But allow me to enlighten you. The admiral has likely been receiving reports of entire ships going missing, with their crews being found floating adrift or awakened in a port they couldn't have reached without help. The ships are not missing at all, they're right here..." and he patted his stomach area. Then he walked slowly out the door and once outside, he headed for the beach where he'd tied up his dingy.

The Kravinoff family, Sahtya included, all looked at each other. Mizuki was the first to speak. "Do you think he knew we've all eaten Fruits of the Devil? Except you, of course."

Myra nodded. "I think he was just bragging."

After a few minutes of desultory conversation and hugs all 'round for Sahtya, home for the first time in a year, they all went back to work. Myra kept serving drinks, Mizuki kept cooking, the Munsehr men kept sweeping (and Johann kept sweeping up bits of himself), and Sahtya went out to follow the braggart-pirate.

She found him at the beach, walking towards a dinghy. He obviously hadn't recognized her as an Admiral, though she'd known him as one of the Shichibukai the moment she saw him. After all, they all had pictures in Marineford, and none of the other Shichibukai had a jaw you could crack stones against. "I saw you in my family's tavern. You seem interesting."

She played the part of the young innocent perfectly, since she was fairly young and... had never had a boyfriend, as her older sisters continuously reminded her.

"I'm not interested. Besides, The family should never have to know what I am. I would prefer they keep the memory of the fat little boy who loved cherry soda and giving hugs." Then he untied his dingy and said, "If you want to come with you'll be going first class. But I warn you, If you can't swim, don't even try to get out of the dingy." "By the way, You can drop the act. I know full well your rank."

Sahtya rolled her eyes as she walked out onto the water, tiny stepping stones of ice forming under her feet so she seemed to be literally walking on the surface of the ocean. "None of us remember you, Will. You were a little kid who came into the Tavern for a few years and then disappeared for ten years. There are customers who've been coming in since before Da' took over forty years ago. I only remember you because we hated each other, and I broke one of the legs on my favorite doll one day while hitting you over the head with it."
