“Awww…” Yavie dropped back on her belly when she heard that Samhain didn’t know the pixie personally. Still at least now Yavie had proof that the pixies really did exist. This was enough to make her tail start wagging slowly. “Oh I see, well could you ask your friend to ask her sister if I could please meet the pretty pixie? Pleassseee?” Yavie’s eyes where large and kit like.
Ixen peeked out from under his paws at his daughter and daughter in law. The situation had been more neatly handled than he had anticipated. Normally Yavie would rant and rave for a while before she wore herself out. Itov’s mate was certainly something.
Itov just snorted softly and just shook his head.

Samhain nibbled on her lip as she thought about it. Arcana was at times a slippery little phim.“Well I can certainly try. The only problem is Arcana, um this would be the friend, is part of a band of traveling fortune tellers so…. I don’t know when I would next be able to talk to her. However I’ll definitely bring it up next time she’s around.” She promised with a nod of her head. She turned towards the boys of the group and just smiled.

Yavie’s wide eyes impossibly got larger. “They can tell the future! Really? Is that how they knew where to find a pixie fox? What will the future be like? How come not everyone can tell the future?” Her wagging tail picked up speed and she leaned forward and even moved forward a few inches on her paws.
Ixen grinned at Samhain but didn’t remove his paws from his eyes. Well now it seems like the orange vixen knows how to let Yavie down with out disappointing her. Distractions are amazing things. Way to go girlie.
Itov grinned broadly at Samhain. He leaned over and nuzzled her. “You are amazing my dear little trickster. Just don’t get her hopes up too high or she’ll be stuck closer to you than I am.” Itov licked Samhain.

Samhain giggled a bit when Itov licked her before letting out another smile and turning towards her sister in law. “well yes and no. They can tell a certain future, but there are always many variables that make up a particular future and if you try hard enough you can always change what happens. I’m not sure what the future is going to look like Arcana only tells me if I trade with her. Besides its cooler to have it a surprise if its good you know. As for why everyone can’t tell the future. Well they can to some extent if they have the right mediums. The more accurate and farther reaching it is depends on how strong of a trait you have I guess” Samhain told her trying to remember everything Arcana had said.

“Aww… Well I don’t think I see the future. At least I don’t think I ever have so I guess I don’t have the right mediums. Does that make me a small?” Yavie just right one smiling and her tail kept right on going. While she didn’t know that variables the future needed to be told she was still interested. “What does she trade for? If I brought her a rabbit could she tell me where the pixie foxes will be so I can go and find it and talk to it?”
Ixen stretched out slowly and stood up. He was starting to feel a bit stiff and needed to walk a bit to loosen up. “I’ll be back in a bit.” He bowed his head to everyone and took off at a short trot.
Itov’s heart leapt a bit to hear Samhain giggle. Her voice was music to his ears. He wondered how Sor was doing with all this conversation going on. The little kit ghost must be bored out of his mind. Itov felt bad that neither he nor Yavie could see or play with the kit.

“Alright, come back safetly though” she said waving Ixen off. Now it was back to Yavie’s questions. ”Well she might trade with you for that, if you can convince her it’s for a really good reason.” Samhain pondered. “And I can’t really see into the future as well, but I don’t think that makes us at all small. We have different talents to bring to the world” she nodded. “And as for the….” Samhain trailed off as she looked over towards sor who had hoped off her head and was now playing with Itov’s ear. She chuckled a bit before remembering what she was saying. “ah arcana trades for whatever her clan needs at the time”

“mm but it’s only for me so I suppose that it’s not really a good reason.” Yavie’s tail stopped wagging as she considered the implications of her future request. “Nope. It’s a pretty selfish really. But I still really wanna ask.” Her tail started wagging slowly anyways just thinking about meeting a fox who could see the future and might possibly help her find a pixie. “But you said the foxes that could see the future could see the futures were mediums, I can’t so I’d be a small right?”
“Yavie I don’t think that is what Samhain meant by mediums.” Itov’s ear felt cold so he flicked it after looking around a bit. It still felt cold afterwards so Itov could only assume it was Sor since the last time he had felt such cold Samhain had explained it was ghosts.

“Nope um you need something like rocks and cards and other stuff, that sort of medium” samhain tried to clarify better. “well Arcana still might take the request especially if business has been slow that week or month.” Samhain answered with a nod. “Mediums when they refer to foxes are kind of like what I am; they can take to the dead or see the dead”

“OH! That makes more sense. I thought medium had to do with size.” Yavie rolled her eyes and her tail wagged faster. “I definitely have to meet Arcana! She sounds like a lot of fun. Just like you Samhain!” Yavie slithered back to her feet and proceeded to trot about to Samhain’s side and then pounce her sister in law. This was definitely an interesting day. Yavie had learned so many interesting things and was so very excited about the future. And she finally got to meet the girl Itov wouldn’t stay quite about.
Ending up crushed under Yavie since he was still next to Samhain, Itov grunted and tried shove Yavie off Samhain at the same time. It really didn’t work out as well as he hoped. Still he couldn’t end up but laugh.

“Its okay, most foxes that aren’t from that type of… circle don’t really get all the terminology.” Samhain nodded. “ah I guess she is, although on top of being in a traveling tribe she’s also a phim so she’s a bit hard to get a hold of. Ah why…gah!” she was suddenly interrupted in answering the questions and compliments aimed towards her and barreled over crushing Sor and her mate. Sor didn’t take it as well as Itov and dumped water over the three of them.

Yavie squealed and squeaked from the water that just seemed to drop out of nowhere. Her brother finally managed to shove her off Samhain. Yavie was giggling like a fiend. Her eyes showed no trace of weariness and she looked like a overgrown hyper kit ready to play. “What was that?!?” She looked about ready to tackle whatever had dumped water on her. She was clearly excited and wanted to play.
Itov was still chuckling as Yavie was looking about paranoid. “Well at least I won’t need a bath! Are you ok Samhain?” He was more used to his sister’s hyper antics than his mate and he hoped that she was alright. He nuzzled her wet fur softly with his nose. “You know even soaking wet you smell amazing?” He whispered this quietly to his mate.

“That would be Sor, some times when ghosts get agitated they have enough power to pull silly stuff like” Samhain started to explain when she was dumped with water again. “alright… alright its not silly anyways it was sor’s way of showing just how much he enjoyed getting squashed I suppose” she finished and then turned bright red when Itov whispered in her ear. This earned her poor mate a slight poke to the nose

“Really?!? Sor you can do that kind of thing? That’s fabulous. Come one let’s play!” she bounced and hopped about looking left and right for any hint of where the playful little ghost might be. She turned about in a circle and started pouncing random spots hoping to squish the ghost and get another fun reaction out of him.
Grinning Itov said in a calm voice pitched loud enough to hear by any save Yavie in her fevering search for mischief. “Sor if you keep my spazzy sister busy the next time I visit you I’ll bring you a bunch of apples.” After that he tugged on Samhain’s fur softly before getting up and slinking off away looking back at Samhain and winking hoping she’d join him in his escape of the clearing.

“He says of course he can, he might be a kit but he’s been a ghost for a while” Samhain translated and then looked over towards her friend with a pleading look. She watched as Sor let out a small sigh and then started levitating things and she supposed playing with Yavie. “ he said that he would love to play with you” she replied and started slinking away to where ever Itov was taking them. She hoped her in laws wouldn’t get worried after all Ixen had disappeared somewhere.

A high pitch squeal was Yavie’s only response as she started dashing about. She pounced after this and that. Even if it was only a breeze making a leaf float in the air she wondered if it was Sor and pounced after it. “Sor you are absolutely amazing! I know I can’t see or hear you but I want to have fun playing with you.”
Itov kept going moving further from the noise and confusion. At one point he saw some red fur slipping through the bushes and back towards Yavie. He assumed his father had seen him since the red spot in the shadows had stopped for a half of a second. His father would understand the desire to be alone with his mate. He waited beneath an old withered tree for Samhain to catch up.
