Pixitella Samt03 Advantages to having a chicken farm... lots of fresh eggs... Disadvantage... lots and lots of fresh eggs.  During the summer when I had my veggie garden I would go outside, pick a pepper or something, chop it up and make an omelet for myself and hubby for breakfast. Still, my hens were laying 12-14 eggs a day for like two months, and we don't eat that many. (They slowed down since it got cold.)
