Benjamin was glad that the customer was getting the implication, though that person was feeling clearly sheepish because of the error. He listened as the blue-haired was narrating more about what he was looking, specifically the hard-bound reading materials for his current research about music. That was when being a bibliophile did pay off, because having such broad knowledge in books would be useful in such situations. He cleared his throat politely before supplying.
"It will be best if you follow me. I know a few recommendations that may be helpful for you." And with that, he sauntered towards the music section of the establishment, hoping that the customer would follow him. But while the two were walking, he was asking an informal question. "May I know your name, sir?"

Thank goodness the associate is being patient with him and is willing to help him out. Now Atticus is wondering if the associate is into music as well since he already knew a few recommendations that will be helpful to him. He could also just be a total book lover and has a good idea where certain books are located in each section of the store. As they were making their way to the section where the helpful books will be, the associate asked if he may know his name, which isn't a question Atticus has an issue answering. "I am Atticus. And you are?"

Benjamin was also there to the intended spot when the customer revealed his name as Atticus. His loafer-clad feet remain planted on the flooring at the answer and he faced the client through the sideway glance on his shoulder, a casual smile forming on his lips. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Atticus. My name's Benjamin, though you can use Ben as the nickname in case the first name can be a bit difficult to pronounce." He was getting used to being called either way, anyway.
That one aside, he continued on with the stroll until they were both at the intended spot. The water mage picked up a few books and showed it to the blue-haired boy. "The recommendations include 'Arranging for Acappella' by Samuel Hooper, 'A Capella Pop' by Brody McDonald and 'A Cappella Arranging' by Deke Sharon and Dylan Bell. You can go pick one or buy them all. Your choice." He usually allowed the client to make a choice to make sure that the customer would be satisfied with his assistance.

At Atticus' announcement about getting all three books so that he would get the info he needed in just one trip, Benjamin chuckled. "Just be careful. They can be a bit heavy." One by one, he handed the books over to the customer. At least he was glad to know that the customer was pleased with how he approached him. But still, a question was bugging him so he had to voice it out. "Do you happen to play music for a living or as a hobby? I bet there is a chunk of the population here in the city with such talent being the main passion. I happen to know someone who is a violinist."
It had been a while since he met that fallen angel, and they were in close terms so far. He wouldn't mind if Atticus would get to know her more because of his referral.

The blond mage listened on with his narration about the other's interest with music. He just nodded as long as Atticus was done with the talk. "I see. Anyway, if you want to see more people who are as passionate as you are in terms of music, then you should go and talk to an acquaintance of mine." He then pulled out his notebook that contained lots of notes, small enough to fit into his pants pocket. More important, it contained a picture of the fallen angel violinist, the raven-haired girl with green eyes. She was playing with the violin, though it was no ordinary violin. It was both an instrument of inspiration and destruction.
He picked up the image carefully and showed it to him. "Her name is Solaris Windstorm. Recently, I have heard that she's currently working as a chef at Amour de la Mer. But today is her day off and I don't know where she is at the moment. Since the weather is rainy, she may be at her house at Etoile, just not far from Ombre, my housing district."

Benjamin smiled upon hearing that Atticus was looking forward to meeting up with her sometime. With that, he put the portrait down onto the notebook, picked up his pen from his pocket and scribbled down his contact info, including his address and phone number. He hastily ripped it off and handed it over. "This is my address as well as my contact number. Feel free to give me a call prior to your plan to visit me some time so that I can be prepared." But of course, he didn't even mention about his secret library in the garage. That was still off-limits unless the blue-haired man would ask politely.
"With that, is there any other concern that needs my assistance?" He had to make sure that Atticus would get the other things he may need aside from the books in one go before adjourning with the business-customer conversation.

Benjamin watched him placing the paper into his pocket. That meant that he had gained a new acquaintance, another welcoming guest into his house in case the two would meet up again some other time. When Atticus questioned if he was a musician also, he shook his head. "While I do have some knowledge about music, I am no musician, unfortunately. I'm actually a bibliophile who just enjoys working here, but also, I am a water mage. At least, just one of the magic users that move here to the city just not long ago. You may see other elemental mages or witches moving along throughout the entire city. Do you move here recently or are you a long-time resident?"
His curiosity was indeed taking over him now.

Everything had gone well these past two weeks. Though his routine was almost the same, he was able to meet up with lots of interesting customers, always showing off his professionalism. But still, there were times in which the requests were just far from the usual, like asking for guides for sex or even on drug productions. Well, you never knew what kind of interaction someone would get into, but that was what made the job interesting, at least that was what Benjamin thought. And he would get his first paycheck for the job next week, which was something he would look forward to.
And it helped that the weather was sunny after the outrageous outpour of rain. It would mean that more customers would flock in and get what they wanted out of the bookstore as he went on cleaning the floor as well as checking the inventory. On another note, Solaris would be having her first gig soon and he could only wish her good luck.

Sage stepped out of his home once more, the heeled leather soles of his dress shoes clicking cleanly off the paved cement of his driveway. He smoothed one hand over his ivory tresses, then straightened his cooler once his fingers met the smooth spotted brown pattern of his deep brown chocolate. He was feeling notably smooth today, for lack of a better word. It felt as if anything and everything would go his way, simply falling into motion with two orchestrating swigs of his wrists. Perhaps that is why a calm smile was on his lips as he decided to walk his way through town, the sweetened gold of his vibrant orbs sweeping his surroundings as he dispensed his umbrella and opened it above his head. Didn't want to burn his delicate pale skin, now did he? Naturally not! The mushi continued, nodding pleasant acknowledgements to anyone who passed him by. Before long he was standing before a store front, tapping his lips as he realized he should have called his assistant to spend the day fetching books for him. Ah well, the work couldn't possibly hurt him. Walking through the door, he glanced over to the desk while closing his umbrella. "Good morning to you, there. I presume you work at this fine establishment?"

Aside from checking on with the inventory, he busied himself through arranging the books of every section of the store. But first, he focused on the History section since the spot was halfway empty thanks to the majority of today's customers being fanatics on war as well as historical landmarks. Honestly, he just couldn't comprehend why others would be immersed in events that require bloodshed and strife, even though he was no stranger to such events himself. He would almost die if it was for his berserk mode, and that thought alone left a bitter taste in his mouth.
The blond was just done arranging the books and was about to go for the sports section next when he heard a voice near the desk. Azure orbs scanned about the figure, looking fine and casual with the outfit the customer was wearing. In response to the customer's question, he nodded. "Yes, I am. Is there any matter that requires my assistance?" If there would be another quirky request, he would internally feel awkward.
