Eric whined, but went out the door anyway. She hated humans so much...why hadn't he thought about that before he just openly told her? He shook his head, knowing that he couldn't have lied to her even if he had wanted to.

Eric shifted and went down into the kitchen, where Maria was making dinner.
"No luck Eric?"
"Unfortunately no. I offered to take her to get more music, to which I had to tell her that I could become human."
Maria shook her head, "Oh I don't think that went well, did it?"
"No, it didn't. She won't have a thing to do with me now." Eric ran a hand through his hair, worried.
"I'll take her up dinner and see if I can't get her to talk to you, dear."
"Thank you Maria. You are truly a treasure."
She bustled about and gathered her tray for Skunk and headed up the stairs, knocking on the door, "Dear, it's Maria with dinner..."
