"Someone is awful confident in their abilities." A chuckle at that and she took her ODDSS from her pocket, putting them on. Then took out the database for them and grabbed a disk from next to her computer, inserting it. Pulling a stylus from storage on the device she scribbled in a note to herself that was displayed on the OODDS themselves. "There, now I won''t possibly forget, but I''m usually on time for things."

Then she gave a laugh. "I don''t like the power outages if I don''t have velcro on hand to make sure things stay down or seals on my files to make sure paper doesn''t go everywhere. But other than that they can be nice at times. Sometimes I don''t even activate my gravboots."

"You have your point there James. After all, we've spent the whole day together and haven't killed one another yet." Then that oh so common nod, coupled with a smile. "Whenever we want in the evening basically. We can pick a day when we're both not swamped." Subject shift.

"It's a lot like swimming really. Good exercise really." One of those distant looks as she went to thinking on that. Hm, she was actually pretty right about that. Jelena bet she could pull some nice things with no gravity around. Hm...maybe she'd convert a less used lab room to a zero gravity room and-

Babbling train of thought was ended by a sudden kiss from James that she hadn't been expecting. Which drew her eyes forward to him and then mad them fall closed. Talk about experimentation. And why the hell not she kissed him back, her mind running comparisons like any scientific mind. Damn he was pretty good. She pulled back with a smile. "Sneak attack."

She couldn't help but laugh as he pulled back from his second kiss that he had bestowed on her that night. "As I can see, clearly." Then she sobered up some and gave that habitual nod. "You have more free time than me I'm afraid. I have some catch up work to do. But I'll let you know as soon as I have a free night. I promise on my Echoes."

Jelena watched him a moment before her eyes lit up as they usually did when she had gotten herself a brilliant idea...though her OODDS slipped down of the bridge of her nose slightly at it as well. "I wonder if Joey is feeling brave enough to log into the admin panel of the Fleet site..."

"Oh...nothing really, just stating my claim of you on a Fleet wide distribution." Jelena watched with a slight smile as he was now giving her a once over, doing the same to him before turning her chair back to her computer and bringing up her email once more. A quick message was typed out to Joey, telling him what to write.

More to the point, she basically told him to edit the site coding for everything he had on the contest, and state that she had laid her claim to JAmes...and just for good measure she added in that if anyone was caught checking out her mind she would feed them to an Echo. True all bluff but still funny. Then at the end of the message, five words, 'James said to do it.'

And she sent it to Joey with a satisfied sigh and then a pet to her computer. "No more worries for you or me."

"Not really possessive. That's just to keep people from bothering me on it, namely young techs who think that a little intimidation via a group of them might free you up so they themselves may ravage you." Right. Then a slight look to the hand on her leg...nice feeling. Good lord she need not been away from relationships for so long.

"Mostly because it's just there. Sure I have my laptop version for my office so I can walk around with it but you know, have to move it around from the mess." Jelena took a moment to push the false glasses back into proper position on her face. "And currently my OODDS aren't set up for data information acceptance of that type yet. Mostly strict display. Though in my free time I have been developing something to fix just that problem." A slight shrug as if it was nothing. Then again to her it wasn't.

"Hm, you know what, that may just be a good idea. I may take you up on that offer James. I'm sure from your own systems I can find a way to keep things compact enough so as not to have to carry around too much in my pockets." She already had a few schematics worked up on the device, but James would definitely help on that.

But then a smile, "I doubt that you'll be cornered. You're too sly and strategic to get caught by a pack of over zealous women who would do anything to-" She was stopped mid sentence by the power blinking off, followed by that tell tale sound of the power shutting down and then the red emergency lights flicking on and backup systems kicking in in the places that required them. "Speak of the devil..."

Reaching down she tapped the button on the side of her boots, activating the magnets in the soles in the boots to keep herself firmly planted on the floor of the ship. Though she didn't even attempt to secure anything in her room, there as no point.

"Guess what kids, it's that time of week again that Catalyst knocks the power out of the rest of us. You know the drill, bear with us."

"Oh how lovely he comes with his own set of directions. Can I use your taser on Erik while he sleeps?" Ah yes there was her sense of humor. But it was hard to concentrate with all of the junk that had taken to the air in her room. Oh yes, lovely. This is why she didn't' clean mostly, and a feed to her disorganization. Why make everything nice if power was going to go out on you and mess it all up again.

"Eight? I was thinking about twenty of them. After all you're a tall man...gotta get some really girl power in that pack to push you anywhere you didn't want to go really." But then a shrug at his mention of Catalyst. "It's source of power experimentation...I'm frankly surprised that it doesn't happen even more often than it does already."

Oh but who couldn't laugh at that little action. "Oh put that back where it belongs. I swear I've never seen so much humor present in you at all. I think I feel faint." She shook her head, getting that look again. "Hm, you know you need to be careful around me. I could take that, put it on a pole and have me a nice grabby pole so I never have to get up and fetch things again."

A glance about her room with a sigh. Damn power outages. "Oh Rennell may like to antagonize you but I hardly think that he would even do that to you, it's just down right mean and Rennell doesn't do mean."

She snatched a picture frame out of the air, looking at it a moment. The one with her and her first Fenrir. Good lord...was her hair that long? What was she thinking. Jelena shook her head to break that little trance of hers, looking back to James. "Useful, unlike me who has to literally wade and search through files."
