Oh! ohohohohoh! I missed the part where the strength number added to the base damage then. That way makes a lot more sense then, okay, and it wasn't alittle complicated, it was...a lot complicated, haha.
So then I did 15 damage? Because that would be awesome.

So I dont think stranger number 1 woke up that morning thinking "Today is the day that a random dude with no real fighting ability wallops me something good with a pipe wrench" hahaha

Did we ever figure out resistance? If I have resistance to magic and someone uses like, a lightning bolt spell and does 5 damage what would the resistance do? Minimize damage? give me a save roll to minimize damage?
By the by, I am convinced Zekials resistance to magic and crowd control effects are based off of pure ignorance and sheer disbelief. sweatdrop

haha no we didn't figure out resistance to dmg should we just say it cuts w/e dmg is about to be done, in half? (for dmg reducing passives, like magic dmg and phys dmg)

On the knife throw, but would the twist of the knife via magic count as a magic attack therefore do base damage of 5?
As for resistance we could do that, or we could make it get better as the person gets stronger? Say base resistance is 5 damage reduction, and as the attain certain higher levels it could increase by 5?

Lol, would have made more sense with the wolf. At least with stranger it was a throw, and then yeah, we'd call it 'magic' I suppose.

Oh! I misinterpreted that then, my bad! You keep flashbang/stabbing the soul and i'll keep wailing with my pipe wrench, because I mean, these guys -need- a reason to rethink their lives and how do you not rethink such a thing after a constant series of flashbangs/soul stabs/and pipe wrench beat downs?
Jeez I have been aching to play a character. I am having WAY too much fun with this test run, hahaha.

oop, i guess it would only do 5dmg for the magic one your logic makes sense
hmmmmmmmMMMMM idk, that seems like it could end up being suuuper OP but, maybe it'll end up being fair hard to tell from here what would determine it's growth? we don't really have levels/exp, just points given out from the DM to distribute between your stats
(on a side note, would hitting you with lightning while you're holding that metal weapon do extra dmg? or are we going to ignore that for simplicity sake)

We can have Zekial get hurt extra if you want, not sure how complicated that would get in the future. Or have him drop the weapon/numb the hand from the extra shock?
Oh, right, I forgot we did away with levels early on, I guess it could just be half damage (or less depending on certain aspects decided upon by the DM maybe?)

because if we do that, then we'd have to consider the other elements too like, just because we wear clothes, and they're flammable, fire does extra dmg? and what if someone throws water on us, and then uses a lightning spell (or visa versa) and everyone's weapon is basically steel/conductive to electricity so idk
I guess we'll try half dmg for now

Yeah, I was thinking about that too and it could be pretty exploitable. We might not want to do that after all. I had come up with the thought of someone soaking people in oil and then casting a fireball. Let's not do that for now unless we want to later figure out a system for it.
As for attacking blind I figure we could double the roll to 0-3 where the hit is a 3 now until the blindness wears off. Hw does that sound?
