Some of these you'd see in other threads, but I may as well put them all out here:
- We sometimes reference an 'oldverse' or a 'revamp' in OOC and the like. This is from the previous iteration of our RP, archived and tucked away in a different subforum. There are a handful of characters that come from the old continuity unchanged. You won't have to worry about this, though your character will be less relevant in certain plots.
- Control of the current 'arc' is done round-robin style. An arc is the center of attention and most of its events are contained in a single scenario, though some stretch for longer and some have elements that break out into their own subplots. Our first arc will involve a heist, and is coming within 2-3 days in RP-time.
- The progression of RP time depends on how often people post, how much people do in a post, and if anyone's willing to advance it. It can be really slow. Sometimes it's necessary to skip time to inject some life back into the RP, but get a consensus before doing it.
- In between arcs, downtime is spent maintaining the hotel front for the Black Ops HQ. Consider what kind of 'day job' your character will have. If you pick 'odd jobs' or no defined role, justify it.
- If your character is stuck doing nothing during an arc, go play some goons. I'll write something up later about how to play fairly as the opposition.
- Rivalries and friendships between characters are common and form naturally. Foes and relationships are permitted, but get permission from the other party, since both of these are more extreme.
Other thing: I had to google what a demiboy is. sweatdrop
It wouldn't be too common in the Gaia universe, so your character could get a bunch of guff from more conservative characters. It's up to you if you want to make it relevant in the RP somehow.

►ok, looks like i didn't overlook too much after all. thanks!
regarding the "day job," i was thinking that lit manages the hotel webpage/social media outlets as well as the complimentary internet. some kind of webmaster/tech assistant, i guess.
hey, much as i wish they aren't, genderqueer identities are minorities even in real life so i'm not gonna split hairs over conservatives getting in a twist over it. that's just realism. it could easily be used to generate a conflict point, and it does tie into lit's nebulous past.

If you have any other general questions, this thread is okay. If you have anything specific to the content, use the rp's discussion thread.
Lit: That sounds good enough. I think Layla would be the most likely to work closely with him, just by the nature of her job (rewards program, promotional offers, etc).
GQ & Lit's past: Okay, that sounds good. (you have me intrigued about Lit's past lol, but save the details for an arc or a long chain of interactions or something)
You can jump into the RP whenever you like. If you need an easy way in, Sabe had just come back from meeting with the Kuros (he's a courier for them, and he'll haul around mission briefs and other important gang-related things). You can just assume that he was told about Lit's membership.

►ok, i'll keep that in mind.
oh boy, a rich high class lady trying to work with lit? that can only be a disaster in the making.
i have something planned out as far as lit's backstory and a relevant arc would go, but i'm not entirely sure how to execute it. probably wait for something to happen that would impact the kid in some way.
my intentions for lit were for them to already have been in the black ops for about a week or two, and have established their place on the pecking order: rock bottom. it's easier to write as though they'd already been there for a bit compared to writing them as though they're brand new.

Disaster: lol I'll be here with virtual popcorn
Arc: Yeah, that works. Someone else is planning a character arc to follow the heist. There's plenty of time.
Intro: That works perfectly in this case, because we're still on Day 0 and getting enough character interaction going on to get a feel for things.

I'm tempted to link to /tg/'s discussion on rectal spelunking in the d20 system, but I don't think that's Gaia-friendly.
Gaynesville Pride (the Pride Festival for Gainesville, where I live) is Octber 25th this year. so I still have a while to go.
but today's newsletter from the Pride Center was very saddening for me.... Lady Pearl, the local celebrity Drag Queen and organizer o fthe Pride Parade and Drag Show every year, passed away.... sad
