"How about one last drink to the crew"?

"Its been a real pleasure working with you Cap'n Jack!"

Destiny repeared on deck, from her cabin. Looking about, she heaved a heavy sigh. Her duties were complete below deck, and now all she had to do was find something to keep her busy till the Captain gave her a new order.
She walked over to Aeoess on deck, and stood next to her, gazing out over the sea, her eyes looking off into some distant place. For a time, she was lost in thought. All the times she had crossed this deck had not made her bolder, she still felt somewhat out of place. Even though she had made a friend, she had never really fit into the crew. She turned to Aeoess and asked Are you ready for this friend? Things may get interesting here in the next few hours. I hope we survive this..I'm going to see if the Captain has any more orders. I'll see you in a bit. Destiny heaved another sigh, then straighted up. Turning, she strode over to where the Captain stood on the deck. All stowed as required sir. Anything else Sir?

*Aeoess just nodded to Destiny as she walked off to the captain. Then then said her thoughts outloud, not caring who heard them at the moment.*
"...As long as our real punishments aren't given aboard that ship, I'll find a way out..."

Returning from below after changing into her finery, she looked at all the solumn faces. Placing a smile on her face she tried to breath normally in the walebone corsette she had clumsilly tried to lace herself and not to itch. Going over to the rail for support she looked out over the waves to the enemy ship, still black, untouched by the morning light. Befitting, she thought, that their death should come on black waves.

Syn watched the other members of the crew file out onto the deck one by one, starting to shiver as the full weight of what was happening struck her. She turned to the railing, gripping it with white knuckles, letting her auburn hair fall into her face. All the better. It would hide the tears brimming in her eyes. She had tried to be brave, unafraid, but... she was full of sorrow over the loss of the Lady. And fear gnawed at her insides, heightened by her insanity which threw wild ideas into her head. Her own position in the crew was a precarious one; mostly unimportant, which meant she could either end up being let off easier, or executed quickly merely because she was of no value. She bit back a sob and stared at the water, which was blurry now.
Finally, softly, "... I don't want to die..."

*she lowered her head* I suppose there's no gettin' away from the inevitable.... *she walked back and forth in a line to calm her thoughts. She put her hand to her pistol at her side. She could get it done with now, and the British would never have their chance to take advantage of her being a woman. She knew it would happen to all of the women onboard the Lady. The British soldiers had never been very nice to her before. She took the pistol out of her belt, and held it in her hand for a moment*

"Mr. Quasan!!! Belay your alcoholism and run up the flags that I ordered to be brought to you. Bend them to the halyards and let both the Quarantine Flag ride at the Mainmast-head and the White Flag at our stern. Don't hide her in the sheets, but let the flag be seen quite clearly. It's our -post. Our last shot, but it may be worth a few laughs..."
*Looking to Miss Destiny, he smiled. She'd always been good as gold abaord, but until now, he realized that he'd never sat and talked in length with her about her time aboard. He'd have his chance soon enough.*
"Orders? Well, if you'd be so kind, you may fetch the Doctor and Miss Kale. Have them come on deck and report to me immediatley. Also, I must apologize for this inconveinence, but I'd like for you to relight the galley fires. If you and Miss Aeoess could see to the crew's final supper, I would be in your debt.
Once that is seen to, leave the fires lit: the crew's duties aren't quite through yet. I'd like for all ruined rig-line and all the carpenters wood shavings to be thrown into the fires. Burn all the lamp oil we have and I'll have the Doctor toss what bloody operating sheets he can into the mix. Let us take on the appearance of a Plauge Ship."
*Turning to Mr. John, who was still seeing to the boats, he bellowed.*
"Mr. John! I'll have the sheets taken in now. Let's give ourselves up..."

Destiny's eyes lit up with a new hope. So the Captain had a plan after all.. This might prove to be interesting she thought to herself.
Out loud she said " Aye Captain. I'll send them up presently, then get the galley cooking again. Anything special, or shall I just surprise you? I just love the element of surprise. I'll do my best sir. " She saluted, turned, then made her way down to the medical deck.

*Aeoess picked up Eittik and smiled, after hearing the orders.*
"Right away, Captain!!"
*Aeoess then yeld to Destiny*
"I'll meet in the galley, by the time you get there the fire will be ready!!"
*She ran quickly to the galley*
(Continued in the galley)

She removed herself from the rail, grabbing her sweeping skirts she gently lifted them allowing her feet to walk forward, stiff and unobtruded. Comming to rest beside the captain she dusted a few specks of dust from her finery. The lace cuffs that reached her delicate wrists tickled them and the joint at the elbow felt tight. She shifted in her corsette and felt the p***k of the envelope the captain handed her. She wondered what could possibly be so important that the captain would insist on her opening it when they were in grave peril.
She stoned her face, erasing the emotion from her features. Now was not the time for soft, feminine emotions.
"How may I assist you sir?"

Not having heard her name uttered in the commands, she wiped her face then turned to face the Captain, waiting to see if he would give her any orders. Now that her moment of weakness had passed, there was a grim expression on her face and a building rage against the English lying behind her eyes.
"Cap'n? Is there anythin' ya want me to do?"
She was new to the crew and she didn't know as much about the actual workings, but she was determined to do her best. After all, the Captain had been kind enough to let her come onboard despite her insanity.

((Quasan: I've deleted your recent post due to the fact that you're neglecting roleplaying your duties. I told you to raise the flags and it has not - by RP standards - been done. So, if you could be so good as to write out your actions like everyone else does rather than pretend to have done something, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.))
*Turning to Midnight as she came aboard, Jack placed his knuckles to his brow in a half-arsed salute. His face stern so as not to dilude his authority while upon the quarterdeck, Jack nodded to her, guestering towards his intents.*
"Midnight, I will not accept your refusal on the matters at hand. As your Captain, I am herby ordering you to break the seal on the packet I have given you. I know it is still on your person, so you have no excuse not to produce the papers. Now, let's have those papers."
*Kneeling, Jack drew the dagger from his boot.*
"I'll make this as easy as ever it can be. Here's a letter opener."
*Leaning against the binnacle house, Jack crossed his arms and waited for Midnight to finally break the seal on the sail-parchment packet. He could hardly wait for her response to what lay inside... it was only a matter of time now. With Miss Midnight's hesitating, Jack turned to the questioning glance of his purser, Miss Beaumont. Had he any orders?*
"Yes, please assist Mr. John with takig in the sheets. He shall show you all you need to know. Now, up the shrouds with ye' and bear a hand there."

(Thats the second post you've deleted right? ok...Do you at least remember what I posted up before you deleted it?)
-He goes to fetch the flags as the captain barked at him for drinking. He started off at the stern, where he quickly tied up the White Flag. A few minutes passed and he completed his task. Next he hurried to the mainmast and unfolded the flag. Then, grabbing one corner, he climbed the ropes to set up the quarantine flag. After that was done he went up to the crow's nest to catch his breath.-
