Kraeela Serieve Alice could teach someone or something. Can't be too hard... right? neutral "Something"? xd That was completely and totally unintentional, though hilarious. 3nodding So I'll make the contest thread on the 8th. Okay. ^^ I can handle that. Upon second thought, I have questions. 1- This thread will be at the guild, right? 2- Do we have Judges? 3- Second round anyone can submit, yes? So what makes the last round winners special? 4- Second round and only 100g? 5- gonk When will you be back again?

*cowers* Another issue came and went, and I haven't contributed.... *feels guilty* Well, school's ending in 3 weeks or so, so I plan to be around here more often. Any jobs you want the practically-new kid to take on?
P.S.... Contest? We have a new contest? Where's the thread?

We did have a contest. Now we're going to round two. The old thread's probably sunk down in the mid-depths of the contest forum. 3nodding
EDIT: And today I learned another interesting yet morbid fact in you-know-which class. I didn't know that, when left with their original body fluids and all, dead bodies will move around, moan, sit up, and all that kind of stuff. My teacher says it's a natural part of death. It also gave people good reason to believe in vampires back in the old days.
I mean, imagine it. Somebody disapears. Then the townspeople ask "Who's died recently?" They go dig up the grave and sure enough, the person has moved or is sitting up with blood running down the side of their mouth, and their teeth look pointy because of the receding gums. *Gasp*
Of course the only logical solution is they're the walking dead. Let's put a stake through them and the coffin into the ground so that they don't get up again. Works like a charm. xd

So what makes the last round winners special? 4- Second round and only 100g? 5- gonk When will you be back again? In response to My Right Hand: 1. No, this thread will be at the writing contest forum. The final round is at the guild. 2. Not yet, but I'm sure the staffies will be HAPPY to volunteer once you round 'em up! Hehehe. 3. Yes, anyone can submit new entries for the second round. Entries from the first round will be automatically DQ'ed. First round winners are special because, um...they just are? We're only having multiple rounds so we don't feel overwhelmed with the all the submissions, plus, the 'zine gets double exposure this way at the contest forums. 4. Yes, only 100g for now, but you and Kraeela can decide how to use the funds while I'm gone. Hopefully, someone(s) will donate once the numbers start to dwindle... 5. I'm hoping by the end of summer, so sometime in mid-August... (Don't throw apples! *runs away*) Everyone just try your best and whatever happens, happens! I have faith in you guys to keep the 'zine running. whee

*spaz*
4 months. Count them. May, June, July, August. 4. That's three more than I'd originally thought. gonk
*deep breaths* It's a shock. Cold water in my face. That's okay. That is okay. I'll get used to it. I will. Humans are adjustable that way. Otherwise, we'd never survive.
sad Don't forget us.

I know! I'm so sorry for leaving you guys like this. I feel really bad about it since I've always been so gung-ho about the 'zine. However, my parents want us to go back this summer to visit my grandmother. She's pretty sick right now so we want to spend more time together before, well...you know. Just in case she won't be around that much longer. sad
Don't freak out! You guys have seen how I run the 'zine, so you know how to do it. Besides, just hire more staffies if the work gets to be too much! I'll sit back and supervise during this issue, so everyone can practice steering our little ship into the horizon. wink So ask all your questions now, or forever hold your silence...or something like that, lol.

Okay, let me try and get this contest straight. We gather in finalists from each round. Last time it was 8. This time it will be [insert answer here]. Then in the finals we get [insert number] more finalists and gather all of them up. Then we let the readers vote from all the finalists from rounds 1, 2, and 3. This determines who gets the 5000g award.
Please tell me that's it.

Serieve Okay, let me try and get this contest straight. Last round we had 8 finalists, yes, because there were only 8 entries that the judges felt were good enough. You can decide on how many finalists to accept once the second round is closed depending on the quality of our submissions. In the final round we aren't accepting submissions, however, all the previous finalists will be published in the June issue of the 'zine, and readers will get to vote for the 5000g winner. The final round is really just the time for us to publicize the finalists and organize the reader votes, so create a voting booth at the guild forum, and direct readers to it with a link. We'll count reader posts for the votes -- it'll be more tedious but accurate in determining the winner. Furthermore, we can either set up the voting system with the winner having the most votes within a certain time frame or the first entry to have X number of votes. It's up to you guys, really! wink

Those are really the only questions I can think to ask. Others will come, I'm sure. We'll just have to use a little more brain power than usual. That's all.
Don't feel bad about leaving us. Most of my spazzes are jokes, though they may come from genuine shock. In the end I know I can handle it. My confidence is just funny like that. I freak out to expel my negativity and then I move on. ^^ My, wasn't that all zen-like.
Hopefully we'll be able to hold up. Almost a half year though. But then again, I fail to notice that years shorten as I grow older. It'll wiz by me in a blur and the next thing I know you'll be wanting all that jucy power back from us.
Have fun in Taiwan. Hope your grandmother's going to be okay. When you get back you'll propably have a few (and hopefully nice) surprises. ^^
My heart to you.
*cough* Uh, too much of a 'good-bye' atmosphere. Let us hope I didn't jump the gun. It sounded like you were leaving tomorrow. gonk Anyway, good night. ^^ Off to bed for me. Soon. If I don't randomly decide to procrastinate.

Thanks, Serieve! And there's no need to be sad since I'm definitely coming back to regain my, um...iron fist of dictatorship over you guys, hehehe?
*ducks from the flying apples* Right, fun stuff.
Hehe. Anyway, I can't wait to see what craziness y'all have in store for the next few issues! wink In truth, the staffies have pretty much come up with all the ideas for the 'zine, so just keep doing what you guys do best.

Ok, so I post the submission thing in the WF? Just there? No special subforum or whatever.
I'll get right on it. 3nodding

I posted it in my journal, so everything should be all set.
