Selia nodded thoughtfully. "Sebastian would be livid if I risk my life to get rid of this if I have th option of learning to control it." Drunken words were sober thoughts with Selia.
Lilyann nodded. "Selia, I think you should think it over some more before I try to remove it. I can't lose you." She had tears in her eyes as she spoke.

Valerie stayed asleep, unaware of what was going on. The men were too quiet to wake her.

"Listen to her, Selia." Boothe slurred, nodding heavily. Boothe looked between the two and suddenly felt the alcohol take its toll. He almost immediately fell asleep, his head jerked back and he was snoring lightly.

Valik walked to Valerie and tucked in the jacket at her sides to close out the cold. He stared at her sleeping figure for a moment, then went back to sitting on his rock. He wasn't worried about the light that approached them, and Donnie didn't seem to be either. So he scooted to the ground and leaned on the rock, letting sleep take him. He trusted Donnie for some reason not to do anything but watch out for them if he chose not to sleep.

Selia and Lilyann snickered at Boothe, but soon did the same. Sleep was needed. Selia stayed in her chair, resting her head and shoulders on the table. Her hair tumbled off the sides and the ink swirled with her breathing. Lilyann went to the couch and flopped down, falling asleep as quickly as Boothe.

Valerie woke up with a startled expression on her face. Valik was asleep, but Donnie wasn't. She looked at him, wanting to converse but knowing it would be too difficult. She stood and looked at the lights. They moved slowly and heavily, like a person through a thick mud. They were beautiful.

"I do not hate you," Donnie finally said to her. "I do not hate vampires, er, just because I am this way." Donnie scratched at his white shirt with a gloved hand. He glanced at Valik to check if he was still asleep, then looked towards the light. Though it was closer, Donnie still couldn't make out what it was. Even though the light was radiant, it did not hint at what was even surrounding it. He looked back at Valerie. "Most of my people do, yes." he nodded at his own words. "But all of us felt the hatred naturally once. Now not all hate." Donnie would say more, but he could not translate his thoughts to her language. He just nodded again, then went to toying with the tip of his spear.

Valerie smiled a little, it looked more like a smirk. "Thank you." She said, still looking at the lights. They were closer. Small forms could be seen in them, buzzing almost, like the light was static.

Donnie smiled, but it almost looked forced. A melodic voice was singing. Another joined, and another. It was hard to hear, though, since it was distant, coming from the light. "People," Donnie said, confused. Valik woke then. "The hell is that?" he said, rubbing at his groggy eyes. He stood and turned. "They're almost here. Why are they singing?" Donnie asked no one in particular. Valik knew why. "They're elves of light, the rarest of the elves." he breathed. "They will do us no harm." Valik said surely, nodding his head.

"They're beautiful..." Valerie's voice was hushed and careful. The elves came closer, now only a few strides away. Their features were delicate, but defined. They stopped in front of the trio, their voices still musical. Valerie looked up at them, awestruck.

It was only one who was emitting the light. I beautiful woman with golden hair. Her cloak was of golden silk, the hood that covered her face a sheen gold as well. She was looking down. As she removed the hood, she looked at the three with her alluring eyes. Soldiers, obviously hers, stood behind her with bows and spears of gold. The woman smiled at them. Her voice was melodic, too. "I understand you are in need of aid." she said. Valik felt his mouth open from being so awestruck. Sebastian emerged behind her. "Meet the Lady of Light." Sebastian said, smiling, proud of himself. She looked between them. "You may simply call me Lady," she said, for she was nameless. "My armies are yours." she spread her arms, her long sleeves of silk swaying in the wind. "She just brought a few soldiers. Ya know, just in case." Sebastian nodded.
"My armies will be called by this," she retrieved a golden cornucopia from one of her soldiers. A warhorn. She held it with two hands as if it was the last treasure in the world. "We will fight." she said.

Valerie looked at Sebastian and smiled broadly. "Sebastian... This is wonderful!" She was almost jumping with excitement. Elves were powerful creatures, and with an army of light elves, their chances had grown incredibly. She looked to Valik and Donnie. "We are so grateful, Lady. Thank you." She bowed at her waist, her hair falling over her shoulder in a long and graceful wave.

Selia woke up, her cheek red from where she had laid on the table. Her head pounded with her heartbeat and her back throbbed from how she slept. It was nearly dawn.

Sebastian waved a hand, as if to say "pish posh" but he blushed. Lady bowed her head. "No need to bow to me, my child," she smiled warmly at her. She then gave the horn back to the soldier. "My people will make a more comfortable camp for you." with that, she turned, and so did her soldiers to begin working on the camp. Sebastian stayed with the three. He shook hands with Donnie and introduced himself. "So, where's Selia?" he looked between them.

Boothe was already up, swirling the same empty glass. "Ah, you're up," he said when realizing she had woken, and set the glass down. "So, what activities will we be doing today, hm?"

Valerie looked at Valik, unsure of whether to tell him where Selia really was. "Well, we split up to cover more ground and gather more allies..." She wandered off in her words, her voice barely a whisper. She has positioned herself behind Valik, her arm brushing his lightly as she spoke. "She went with Boothe to her home kingdom." Valerie finally spat the words out, afraid of what Sebastian might think.
The light elves busied themselves around the camp, setting up tents and fires. The trees seemed to blend into the camp, the tents hanging from the lower branches and fires under the gaps in the canopy. A flurry began, soon turning into heavier flakes of snow.

Sebastian's eyes trailed off then averted to Valik and Valerie. He didn't say anything. There was nothing to say; they all knew that it was bad. Donnie sighed. "Well," he rocked on his feet nervously, "I think I will help them with camp." then he dropped his spear where he had been sitting and walked off. After he was out of earshot Sebastian narrowed his eyes. "You let her go," he paused, letting his blood boil more. "to that bloody place!" his voice raised. Sebastian had a feeling he knew what Selia was planning on doing there. Valik raised his hands, unsure of what to say. "She's with Boothe, Sebastian. Remember that." Valik reminded him. Sebastian scoffed. "Boothe! That's just ******** great! He'd protect a bottle of vodka before he'd protect a person!" Sebastian yelled at him, gathering the attention of some of the elves. Donnie just chuckled and continued working. Valik glared at Sebastian. "Don't talk about my brother like that. Oh, and if you'd recall, how many times has he saved your scrawny a**?" Now Valik raised his voice. Instead of providing a witty comeback, he shoved at Valik's chest. Startled, Valik went back a few steps, losing his balance and falling in the snow. Valik darted his eyes at him. They were red.

Valerie fell as Valik took his steps back. She looked up after she cleared the snow from her eyes. "So go find her yourself." She snapped, standing up quickly. "If it's such a bloody, horrid pla-" She had turned to see Valik's eyes. They frightened her, as did Sebastian's at the moment. She could see Donnie chuckle. Rude. She thought, backing up a few steps. "Guys... Don't. If we prove unstable, how can we keep our allies?"

Selia looked at Boothe with a confused look in her eyes. "Oh. Uhm... I think we should reestablish a power. The city is basically falling apart underneath its own feet. Someone needs to rule it." She stretched her arms over her head. "And to do that, we need to find someone to be said ruler. It won't be me, that's for damn sure." She smiled at Boothe. It was clear outside, with grey clouds on the horizon. The windows were frosted, and children ran about outside, their mothers warning them what will happen if they did not stop.

Sebastian continued glaring at Valik, but spoke to Valerie. "You can only get there if you're like Boothe. If I went, it'd be too late; it would take days." his voice was had lowered but the anger was still there. Valik shook his head violently and when he stopped his eyes were back to normal. The light elves had stopped watching. Except for Donnie who seemed to look disappointed. Sebastian didn't like that. Valik stood, acting as if nothing had happened. Sebastian played along for now. "I don't trust him," Sebastian growled. Valik glanced at his new friend. "Donnie?" Valik snorted. "Well he trusts us." Sebastian still didn't accept it. "Doesn't mean I have to trust him. I'll be watching him," he got closer to Valik. "And if anything happens, it's on you." he warned, then walked off to approach Lady. Valik rolled his eyes and looked at Valerie, giving a who-does-he-think-he-is look.

Boothe raised an eyebrow. "And why not you, Selia?" he questioned, placing his elbows on his knees. "If not you, who?" What other choices were there?

Valerie choked on a snicker, covering up her laugh with a cough. "I think I'll go for a walk. It's a bit crowded." She said quietly, looking around the camp. It buzzed with activity. It made her a little uncomfortable to be around so many people all of a sudden. She started to walk away, but turned to look at Valik. "Would you like to come?" She looked scared, and innocent. Far from the vampire she could be. Wolf and elf overwhelmed her senses.

Selia sighed. "To the people, I am a traitor. They would not follow me." It saddened her to say this out loud. She wanted to rule, but it was nearly impossible.
