Syn stood to the side, out of the way of all the hustle and bustle on the deck but near enough that she could spring into action if given orders. She knew nothing about sails or guns (besides how to tighten the knot of a sail or dodge a gun) and she winced at the thought of her in charge of either. So for the moment all she could do was watch and wait, hoping for the best. It seemed her luck had abandoned her. Hopefully a cannonball wouldn't head her way; she remembered only too well the last time she had encountered one. The memory of it crashing through the wall, the chunk of wood embedding itself through her eye and- She grimaced, wiping it out of her mind the next instant so she wouldn't become dazed, peering at the scene grimly, shifting from foot to foot in agitation.

*Aeoess looked down to the captain.*
"Apologies sir, but I do wish to be prepared for the worst.
I do hope we can run from this, if not...*Sigh* If not we must fight our way out..."
*She paused for a second.*
"I'll assist you in any plan you have, my friend, however if things turn for the worst I will not stand idlely...
We'll talk later captain, for now let's get out of this!"

*she reloads her cannon for the next shot. She knows that her order was out of turn, but was also hoping the Captain would know it was for the best in the instant. Deep down she knew her insubordination would come with dire consequences. Though, for now, she was worried about taking out that main mast* Alright, men! Load some chains! *as the men dropped in the two balls connected with a chain, she loaded a powerful grape shot into one cannon, for she could see the enemy would close in on them. A grape shot could take out quite a few sailors once they got a wee bit closer...* Fire at will! Double-quick on returns!

Destiny and her crew reloaded their cannon with grape shot as well, then began firing at will. As soon as the cannon would discharge one load, she would swap out the grape shot for the heavier shot and go from aiming at the soldiers on the deck to trying to punch a hole near the waterline of the other ship.
She knew that she would be no help above in the sails, so she stayed with her cannon crew, and contined to pummel the pursing ship with a pepper of grapeshot and a hail of cannonballs. It seemed like some of the shots came mighty close to hiting at the waterline, but from behind the blue-gray clouds of gunpowder smoke she couldn't see much past the end of her cannon.
Out of habit, she made sure that all her weapons were intact in their sheaths, then set about reloading the cannon. Until she was ordered otherwise, she would continue to pound the other ship.

*Heads past the foremast and over to the flying jib and takes in the triangular shaped sail. John heads back, grabs a couple of buckets and throws one over to Quasan*
Quasan, water belongs in the ocean and you have a bucket in hand; make the connections, and make it happen!
ANYONE NOT ON A CANNON, MAKE LESS OF THE WATER WE HAVE TAKEN ON!!
*John goes down below deck to find a dusty old pump and a couple of hoses. John takes the hose and throws one over the ship and one where water seems to collect up the most. Taking both hands on the lever, John begins to rise and lower the lever and water begins to spill out over the ship. John yells hoping he could be heard above deck*
ALRIGHT CAPTAIN, I'M UNDERWAY!

*Upon hearing John's orders Aeoess climbed down with a bucket and begins to get it out of the ship and into the ocean to lighten the load.*

*After many hours all of what John can get pumped out was out, unfortunately many of the planks of wood were waterlogged making them considerably heavier. John head on deck*
I did what can be done. I say we head out now before we get hit by another cannonball.

Violently shaking his head, Baxter returned to reality. It appeared that his daze was so strong to have blocked out the cannon fire of Lord Nelson's command.
He vaguely heard the Captain ask that he prepare the Wardroom as a makeshift operating room for the sake of convenience. "I'll get right on it."
With that he began to attend his duties.

Her clothes were soaked and she could overhear Johns mumblings about taking on water, but there was nothing she could do about a drowning ship now. Her eyes were on the crew as they reloaded the guns for another fire.
"FIRE AT WILL" She bellowed over the din on deck. She just prayed another cannon ball would not find the Lady again but in her eyes outrunning was deffinatly out of the question unless they could mame the other ship.

Dr. Morgan dimly heard the captain's command as he toppled over with the heaving of the ship. As cannonballs flew overhead, he picked himself up off the deck and made off after Dr. Baxter.
He was mildly disappointed not to be up in the fighting tops where he could be putting his greatest skill to use, though perhaps his marksmanship would be affected by his current injuries. It was good to have orders, though. Standing around on the deck was not his idea of usefulness, and he was very awkward if he did not feel like he was involved.
Scooping up his cat, he went to the wardroom.

*Heads to the gun deck to see if anymore water made its way there and spots the discomfort in Miss Melaria's eyes*
Lets not let doubt fill your mind Miss Maleria...
*Walks up to Melaria and points out the hole the cannon was pointing out of*
See that Main mast, believe and hit the mark. I have no doubt in my mind of you Miss Melaria
*Takes his leave and continues to inspect the ship for any new water that made its way on board*

"YOU SLACK-JAWED, COCKEYED WHORES! DAMN YOUR EYES!
IF I SEE ANOTHER SHOT FIRED AT HER HULL OR HER DECKS AGAIN, I'LL STRING EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU SORRY EXCUSES UP BY THE YARDARM! SHOT FOR HER RIGGING. DISMAST HER! DISABLE HER! SHE HAS US BY THE HIP: WE DON'T STAND A FIGHTING CHANCE.
MISS ARES! I WANT CONCENTRATED CONTINUOUS FIRE UPON HER UPPER RIGGING. KNOCK AWAY ALL THE YARDS & SPARS YOU CAN. I WANT THAT SHIP DEAD IN THE WATER..."
*Turning on his heel, Jack flew upon deck and up to his quarterdeck. Whipping his telescope out, he focused upon the opposing ship. The Boadicea's seemed to be splicing the damaged rig, but something else was afoot. But what?*
"Helms a-lee, Mr. Vanstring... Put us before the wind on the starboard tack."
*Grabing his speaking trumpet and bellowing into the tops*
"MR. JOHN!!! AHOY MR. JOHN!!! CRACK ON ALL SHE CAN HOLD!"

Destiny, upon hearing the Captain's orders, repositioned her cannon to aim for the rigging. Loading her cannon with a ball and chain, she aimed for the masts. As quick as her crew could load the cannon, they fired at the sheets of the pursuing ship.

*Aeoess considered firing merely for the hanging idea, but she decided that she needed to help the Lady get out of this mess. But sadly she had one problem.
"You won't make it out alive"
"You and the fools on board will all die and it'll ALL be your fault.."
Aeoess began hearing voices again, and they like Eittik did, and they sounded like the rats..And the birds...And like some rocks she thought she heard too.*
"YOU ALL WRONG!!!! WE'LL MAKE IT OUT OF THIS!!!!!"
*She was screaming at the air, and she sounded like she needed help that only a cell, a doctor, and possibly a priest could give. Tears ran downs her face as she ran towards the nest. She watches as a cannon blast tears at a sail.
Again, the voices return to haunt her.
"I doubt that the ship will make it, and even if it does you are merely a dead woman walking.
If the redcoats don't kill you the pirates will!!!"
Aeoess grew annoyed by it all, the voices, the battle, and her temporary freedom.*
"...They will die where they stand if they try..."
*Anyone who heard her had no way of knowing what she was thinking, they just knew that they may have other problems to deal with once they passed the enemy ship.*
