Boothe passed the rolled herbs to Lilyann. "Sounds perfect. I can beat my enemies with it like an old man." he smirked. He laughed more at Lilyann's question. "Aw, she's not that bad." Boothe winked at Selia like a father would to his daughter. After a few moments of silence, Boothe suddenly spoke up. "I'm starting to feel funny." he chuckled, unsure of what was happening.

Selia busted out laughing. "How strong is that, Lilyann?" She laughed as she walked, the sun melting some of the snow that covered the streets. They at last reached Lilyann's shop and home. Selia opened the door and held it for Boothe and Lilyann.
Lilyann just smiled. "Strong enough, I suppose." She smiled at Boothe. "It's alright to feel odd, it's normal." They entered the cluttered shop, and Lilyann cleared off her working table. "Put your leg up on the chair and make yourself comfortable." She said, sitting herself on the cluttered stool next to her table.

Boothe found himself giggling. He did as he was offered and sat in a comfy sofa and put his leg up. He let out a sigh of relief. "Nice little place you got here. Reminds me of Sebastian's place a bit." he smiled, putting his hands behind his head and leaning back a little. "So what will we be up to for now, hm?" he asked, closing his eyes, but still listening.

Selia sighed. "I have to go to the castle and kick some a**. This is my kingdom now, after all. And we need soldiers." She shrugged. "I'll be back in a little bit, I'm going to get Boothe some liquor." She walked out of the shop without waiting for an answer. Lilyann sighed. "She's a piece, that's for damn sure." She turned to Boothe. "Well, I can take care of the leg for you, if you'd like. And I have a spare set of clothes that are a bit warmer." She smiled warmly and pulled out a bone knife and some herbs, along with a suture. "Shall we begin? You'll feel nothing, everything is enchanted."

Boothe smiled and let out a small laugh. "Sure is. She's got the nerve of her mother. Ah, yes, clothes would be nice, thank you. These are rags, now." Boothe glided his finger on the angry skin. "Don't worry, I don't feel much anyways." he sat back again, letting her begin when she was ready. He looked at the yellowed skin where his scar was. Then he closed his eyes and leaned farther into the inviting cushions.

Lilyann worked carefully, letting the scar ooze out puss when she cut along it. "Whoever worked on this in the beginning knew what they were doing.." She muttered, amazed at the internal healing. The only thing wrong was the infection, now drained out. She ran water of the wound, then stitched it together. "There we go." The whole process took no more than 5 minutes. "I'll get the clothes. They were my husbands, they will fit nicely, I think." She went to the room in the back and returned with a large pair of wool pants and a tunic with a sweater. "This is what most of wear here... Dull colors and such. It's a shame really." She handed the clothes to him and turned. "I'll be in the back room starting dinner. Feel free to wander about the house." And she disappeared into the back room once more.
Selia was three houses down at the local bar, about to pick a fight. One girl had already spilled beer down her back, and another was about to do the same. She whipped around and grabbed the girls wrist. "I don't think so." The girl immediately recognized her. "Oh my.. Your Highness... Please, forgive my ignorance. I had no idea-" "Oh, save it for someone who cares." Selia was in no mood for people. She bought three bottles of fire branded liquor and left, going back to Lilyann's.

Boothe nodded at her, grateful. "Thank you, Lilyann." he smiled at her. When she left, he changed in a secluded area of the room, folded his old clothes, lay them on the sofa, and looked about the room. Boothe always felt uncomfortable in an acquaintance's home. He simply studied the enchanted materials Lilyann had used. "Hm." he piped, debating on touching the knife or not. He poked at it then retracted his hand almost instantly. Nothing happened. He shrugged as he stood up to study more of the mysterious little place.

Selia entered as Boothe was looking around. "Here you are. Fire whiskey." She set down the bottles and pulled out some shot glasses. "Lilyann! We're drinking." She yelled, not too loud. Lilyann poked her head into the room. "Pour me some." She came out a minute later, smelling of rosemary and elk. Selia poured three shots. "To survival!" She said, both girls knocking back their shot like it was nothing but water.

Boothe clapped his hands together. "Finally!" he flashed a toothy smile as he swiped up the glass just as it was finished being poured and took it back, making sure to get every last drop. He slammed it down, waiting for more. "That's nothing like what we wood elves make back home." he chuckled.
Finally, the three reached the camp. The fire was out and the wood was wet from the snow that had just stopped. "Looks like we won't be having a fire." Valik snorted, sitting on a rock. Donnie shrugged. "No problem for us." Donnie said to Valik, eyeing Valerie.

Valerie shrugged. "I'll be fine. It's just snow." She shivered slightly, but just pulled her coat closer. She sat on the ground by the trees and leaned back.
Selia poured more shots until they were all healthily under the influence of alcohol. Lilyann brought out dinner and some water with hopes of sobering up. "Enjoy the meal, friends." She said, then peeled off a piece of elk for herself and began to eat.

Valik eyed Donnie, giving him a look. Donnie sighed, giving up his wool jacket and dropping it on the moist ground next to Valerie. Valik nodded approvingly, smirking at Donnie. Donnie just rolled his eyes and sat opposite of Valerie, next to Valik. "Now what?" Donnie said, breaking the silence. "Now," Valik began, "we wait for Sebastian." Donnie then asked Valik if there were any more vampires in the group in Russian. Valik almost gave off a frown, but instead sighed. "No," he answered in English, then turned away from him. Donnie just slowly nodded and moved his gaze to nowhere in particular.
Boothe smiled at Lilyann, but the smile was droopy from the alcohol. He took a large chomp out of his elk. Closing his eyes, he remembered his butcher shop, his village, his home. But now it was in ruins.

Selia and Lilyann ate in quiet, enjoying the food more since it calmed the fire whiskey in their stomachs.
Valerie looked at the sweater. "Thank you.." She whispered, pulling the sweater over she shoulders and breathing in its warmth. It felt soft, but sturdy as far as sweaters go. "No what?" Valik was looking at Donnie when he said it, and Donnie had spoken a different language. "Let me guess. Vampire related? I won't take offense, Donnie." She really wouldn't. There was nothing wrong with following how you were raised, even if it was prejudiced.

Donnie eyed Valerie. He was trying to make sense of the words. Valik could tell, so he translated in Russian for him. Donnie nodded, saying something back to him in Russian. Valik shrugged at him. "He was asking me if there ware any other vampires in our party." Valik told her. He turned back to Donnie, saying that there was another before. Donnie didn't reply, just nodded slowly, almost solemnly. "Sorry," Donnie said to them, the best apology of pity he could manage. Valik forced a smile, glimpsing at Valerie, then to the ground. He pulled at the grass, not knowing what to say anymore. Donnie didn't, either, though he just sat there with his hands clasped together. He had set his wooden spear next to him.
Boothe eyed the swirling ink on her skin with a frown. He didn't want to bring it up, he just wanted Selia to think further on the matter. With the nerve of her mother, she would be quick to make rash decisions.

Selia and Lilyann looked at Boothe. "So. I want your opinion anyway. What do you, Mr. Wise Russian, think I should do about all this mess?" Selia asked, gesturing to her body with one hand and holding a bottle of fire whiskey in the other. The liquor was making her less rash, more open to other ideas. Who would she touch anyway? It wasn't needed, and hell, it could help her rule the kingdom and battle.
Lilyann laughed. "You having second thoughts?" "Actually, yes. Shocker, isn't it?" Selia laughed too, spilling some whiskey on her shirt.
Valerie nodded off in the silence, allowing the warmth from the sweater to seep farther into her body.

Boothe frowned, looking down at his empty glass, swirling it in his hands. "Just think of how Sebastian would react," he said quietly. "Now, me, I just don't know. I don't know." he shook his head, rubbing at his bald head with his free hand. He eyed Lilyann, then looked at Selia. A drunk Boothe was always a somber one.
Donnie eyed a glowing light far, far off in the distance. "Ey!" he stood quick, pointing. Valik followed his finger. "The hell is that? A giant ******** lightning bug?" Valik said in reaction. Donnie shrugged. "It is coming this way, what ever it is." he said, speaking slowly so they could understand him. Valik noticed Donnie already had his spear in hand. He was quick. And silent, at that. Valik looked back at the distant light. "All we can do is wait. Or hide." he snorted. Donnie kept a blank face as he continued to watch it eerily.
