Having done what she could to give the dead men of the Rohirrim some semblance of honour, Elrothiel returned to where the others were talking. She stood a little apart from the others, half listening to the conversation, but lost in thought. There was a slight crease between her brows, and a slight tilt to her mouthh that could have been the makings of a frown, but apart from these subtle signs there was no indication that her attention was focused on their surroundings and not the conversation. She felt a deep uneasiness, it unsettled her and she had a prickling feeling that they were being watched again. She scanned the horizon, seeking any signs of disturbance, but knowing she would see nothing. The feeling had been growing on her, and she now firmly believed that the source of this scrutiny was magical. This scared her slightly, the only people she could imagine watching them were Saruman or Sauron himself. Both ideas were equally disturbing. She didn't know if one of the others was important to the war in some way, or if someone had heard of the death of the orc patrol. She closed her eyes briefly, and sent out her sight. Instantly, the presence withdrew, leaving her with a cold feeling. She shivered, and turned back to the others, wondering if the others had felt it.

"I just..." Sila sighed and shook her head. "I am just surprised that you have not heard of Sarumon. Eaither for his betrayle or as leader of the Istar. Where have you been that you would not know of such common knowladge. That is all that I wonder." She said turning. "But it is not really my place to ask you such questions."

((Heya! How did it go? Anyway, basically we left you and decided to go to Rivendell. Then we didn't but went to Rohan instead and found a company of Rohirrim slaying orcs. We joined the battle (though they'd basically killed them all before we got there) and are currently in the battlefield talking, explaining to Ranu about the betrayal or Saruman and what we are going to do next. That's about it really.))

||It was awsome, and thanks for updating me.||
Van saw the armies heading towards eachother from one of the ledges of the mountains near Jeangard. He was sour towards the Rohirum, his people and them generally clashed on many occasions, so if had to choose a side, he would of chosen to side with the orcs. But by the time he got there, the battle was finished. In fact, when he got there, they were moving the dead carcases around. Van saw the people talking to each other when he noticed the elf he had sprung from the orc prison. He stepped over a few boddies and walked over to her, "You cant seem to avoid them can you?" He asked her.

Ranu smiled timidly, "There is much I have missed, in my long trails." He said, he streched idly and said, in a tone that suggested an attempt at humour "I'd be a Ranger if I was a king" He paused and rubbed his left shoulder, "I've been mainly in Mirkwood and the Misty Mountains, for the past..." He paused to work it out, "A year." He frowned, it seemed much longer. "But it was worth it. I earnt my pay for it." He sighed, that'd sounded bad. "Someone had lost their child, so I tracked them down. It took a year." He sighed, looking away towards the distant mountains, "I wonder sometimes if either of them slept. The lost child, and the father."

She added, surveying the ground with a slightly sad expression.

She shrugged. "Rivendell I suppose, though the others are taking a long time to reach any sort of conclusion." She sighed, "I wonder if they'll notice if I just walk off?" She considered them thoughtfully and then nodded. "I don't think they will. I'm going to leave for Rivendell then. Are you coming?"

Van thought for a moment. He had never been to Rivendell, granted that owed largely part to the fact that their people didnt see eye to eye with his. He looked at her witha uncertain look in his face, 'The other elves there, they wont be upset that someone like me is in thier city?' he asked her.

She looked at him steadily. "It doesn't matter if they are. They will follow Lord Elrond's judgement, and he will believe that you are trustworthy if I vouch for you. You saved my life. I can't guarantee that the elves will be friendly, or that they won't be mistrustful, but they will respect you for what you did for me." She smiled lightly, "So, do you want to come?"

Van muled it over quickly in his head, it would be better than running around with Rohan folk, he had a minor prejidice towards them, as they did him. He nodded, 'Shure, but I'm trusting you...' he said to her. 'I dont know they way, one of the few places I havent been to, you elves are quite clever at being hidden when you want to be, so you will need to lead the way.'

"Very well then." she said, trying not to show that she was pleased he had decided to come with her, "I think we should go west through the gap of Rohan and then north up towards Rivendell. It will probably be the quickest and easiest route." She turned westwards and began to walk, smiling slightly to herself.

Van followed her as she led the way westward. He generly wasnt trusty of elves, they had spilled his kinds blood before, but they were better than the Rohan, or just about any human race that wasnt from his region. He wondered how long it would take them, he had hundreds of stories at where the city was located, some said it didn't, but evidently, it was real, and he supposed that he find out exactly where it was when he got there. He smilled to himself, his cheif would have killed for the location of it, but, now that he had left the tribe, he didn't need to worry about it.

Elrothiel looked at him sideways, unsure what he was thinking. "Are you sure that you're happy about this?" she asked, frowning slightly as she watched his expression, "I don't want you to feel that I'm pressuring you into anything."
