-cough- Guys, let's keep the talk in here to TTC. All pregnancy talk in For the Preggers, please, and anything else where it's appropriate. A little off-topic is ok, but this is going in the wrong direction.

Thank you.

The doctor is pulling me off my medication because we feel it's for the best. I can really really try now. ^_^

Is it really a good idea to start taking prenatal pills now though? I had some one tell me that you should start them if you're trying to have a baby. That and start cutting back on caffeine now so that when I get pregnant I won't have the caffeine cravings all the time.

Is it? Planning how far apart your kids might be? I'd hoped by saying mine were 6 years apart that those TTC and having theirs 4 years apart wouldn't think it was too big an age gap. (I got advice from another mom who has 3 kids 6 years apart that it's great because she'll never have 2 teenagers at once!) Or were you referring to some other conversation?

Yes, taking prenatals while TTC is a good thing because the folic acid is needed most when the spine fuses (I think?) which happens at around 4 weeks, which is when you've missed a period and often find out you're pregnant, so it's good to already have that folic acid running in your body.

^_^ Thank you.

I'll be sure to pick some up. Actually trying to get pregnant on purpose is quite interesting. XD

Did you guys have a hard time adjusting to that if your first was completely unplanned?

Well, I want to say there's some threads popping up in both the subforums about age gaps. *Admits she was guilty of getting offtopic in the TTC thread as well*

There were other convos as well. Nothing personal at all, it's just really easy to get off subject and some TTC might feel it as being rude to take the focus off of them.

I had a really hard time conceiving with both. 2 years infertility with my first, and 4 1/2 with my second. My in-laws were baffled at the concept that I was "trying" to get pregnant, because with them, it always just happened by accident! I suppose they had no idea about knowing when you ovulate, timing it, laying down for 30 mins after with a pillow under my hips, etc. I almost feel like they laughed at the whole idea which didn't make my situation any easier.

Yeah, it wasn't cool that they were going on like that.

Not all of us are that fertile. I'm trying to plan on getting pregnant so that I'll have my baby after my first year at college ends.

*glomps both Cuppy and Sash* Long time no see guys! But I finally have my own internet, so you'll be seeing more of me!

So back on TTC topic....

You two know how my period is retarded for lack of a better term... I found something natural that may help me and hubby conceive!

Last weekend I went to the mall to take my engagment/wedding band in for their checkup at the jewelers, when this little chinese lady suckered me into a free chinese massage. It's suppose to help circulation and things like that. I was like ok, why not. So she gave me a litttle one and told me the prices if I'd like to continue. So I gave her the $12 for the 10 min massage, which was just wonderful! Well, it definatly did help my body cause a few minutes afterwards I got my period xd

So now my hubby is gonna take me to them at least once a month if not more to get a chinese massage!

Hey, my sister MysticFawn keeps telling me I need to check out this thread. We've been TTC for 2.5 years. 1.5 of those years I've been charting my cycles using FertilityCare's Creighton Method. One year I've been taking progesterone supplements on the days between ovulation and my period. I have an appointment in October and the plan is to tell my obstetrician that we're ready for the big guns "clomid?"

I should let you know that I have one daughter, she just turned 4, and I have been pregnant a total of 4 times. About a year and a half before my daughter was conceived I had two miscarriages each time starting to bleed between 4 and 6 weeks. I had another miscarriage, starting bleeding at the same time one year ago, and even when I was pregnant with my living daughter I started bleeding at 5.5 weeks. That time I was already taking progesterone as soon as I got a positive Pregnancy test. My family made me lie down for a week and they took me in for an ultrasound hours after my first sign of blood. In the first ultrasound the amniotic sac was oblong or elliptical, meaning that she was still in there but her tiny sac was losing fluid. By the end of the week we did another ultrasound before I flew back home (from the vacation with my family) and the sac was now round. There was a little blinking star right in the center of the sac and I was told that was a beating heart!

the vaginal ultrasound done in America a few days later showed a dark streak next to the place the sac was implanted.

I bled less and less over the following 3 weeks or so and it turned from bright red more and more brown and eventually stopped. And then I had 7 months of morning sickness but otherwise the pregnancy was uneventful after that.

So that's my story. I'll try to read up the latest posts here at least, but PMs are always welcome.

Jennimac - thank you for posting the story!

Siselly - that's great! I hope you will find a good OBGYN soon - let us know when you try Clomid. 3nodding

Most definitely! Now I do have to wait until November for the benefits to start, but I'm highly excited with the prospect of being a parent next year!

I have a good feeling about the new year. It's going to be the year of the Rat again and guess what, that's my sign, so hopefully it'll bring my luck!
