What the hell is that? ******** easter eggs? lol Actually, I dunno if I can fully blame Capcom because I'm sure Marvel has done a fair bit of meddling too! (I hear there aren't any X-Men in this and that it's basically shilling the Marvel Movieverse?) But still, season passes and whatall.. wooooooooooo. I'm amazed at how differently Capcom treats its series. Like monster hunter. That s**t has had free DLC forever! I... I'm kinda scared now. I think they meddled so hard in this game that it's not even funny. I guess that Capcom's getting more of the blame since they're the publishers and all. Speaking of that... where the HELL do I begin on this PR mess... *puts ranting hat on* Yes, it REEKS of Cinematic Universe shilling. It's so bad that the Marvel characters (Captain America, Iron Man, Spidey, to name a few) lost their classic themes from older games to put in the movie themes. Yes, people are NOT happy with that. Capcom side of music is no better, either. It's mostly crappy techno and dubstep in it... And I LIKE techno music. Just not this... whatever this is. Folks are pretty much saying that Dante's theme is the worst of the bunch there. Speaking of the X-Men... know why they aren't in it? Because... they think that we don't remember them. Keep in mind that Wolverine was in every single Marvel related Capcom fighting game... SINCE 1994. But that's okay. He's just a function, right? No, I'm serious. That was said, too. And they're HALF easter eggs, not whole ones. And yet, I only spent a dollar on a discounted piece of piano music on Monday. And I'm having more fun with THAT. xp *removes ranting hat* (Edit: I forgot to mention that this game had less than a year of development. I don't think they learned from the debacle that was Megaman X6... *cough*) Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the MCU, and I'm sure that a lot of people don't hate it, either. It's the shilling for this single game that people are mad at. I know that I'm missing a few points about that game, but yeah, it's a bit of a mess so far. Folks say that the gameplay's good, but everything else (roster, music, story) is pretty terrible and not worth full price, be it $60, $90, or $200. After the debacle that was Capcom.SYS for Street Fighter V... I think I'm better off playing Tekken 7 or King of Fighters XIV once Pookie gets back from his errands.

MasturChef I SEE YOU. ALL OF YOU. emotion_dowant How are y'all? Fine I suppose. I decided to take a whole month off before starting my new job search. So, it's about time for me to get started on that little nugget. I'm actually online most days, I just have online status and public PM functions turned off since I keep getting these random begging '"plz don8" PMs which really irritates me. People on my friend list can still easily PM me or profile comment me though. Played the summer event some....not very interesting to me though. I'm trying to get back to a regular exercise routine since I don't have the extensive physical activity now that I had with my old job.......its slow getting used to dragging my rear onto the stationary bike on a daily basis. ugh. On the up side, I'm getting back to doing cooking at home from scratch, which is good. Back when Ma was working nights and I had to do the cooking, we did really well and were probably eating better that we have the past three years. See, I have a certain weight goal I want to reach by my birthday this year, and I know I can manage it as long as I'm getting the daily exercise and not eating (and eating and eating and eating) more than what my daily physical activity level calls for. MUST RESIST PUMPKIN EVERYTHING gonk emotion_drool

So you generally expect the first day of autumn in the upper Midwest to be in the upper 60's maybe low 70's, some decent foliage colors, and pumpkin lattes. Well.......
........try 92 feels like 97 and still pretty much summer green. There go my plans for making harvest soup and cheddar biscuits. It's too friggin' hot for that. What the heck?!?!?! This isn't Cali or Arizona. It Should. Not. Be. This. Hot.
The thing is, I'm an autumn person, and my creativity really depends on this time of year being what it's supposed to be. The rest of the year I'm pretty blah, almost dormant. But in autumn its like I wake up. Autumn is a triple espresso for my creative mojo and so far its not off to a good start.

I'd have thought that nonsense died down a few years ago! I get that inflation's a thing and all, but still... The summer event didn't really interest me either, honestly. I... I need to exercise more, myself. And also eat better... It's just really hard when breakfast is not feasible because you have to wake up at 4am, and you're so exhausted by the time you get home having to deal with an hour+ commute... Ugh. Usually for me it's all or nothing, which is bad. And the season of pumpkin stuff (LIKE PIE)!? Forget it... I'm going to die lol Funny thing about your weird weather patterns up there... The last day of summer here had RAIN! And it's been in the 70s this whole week! What's happening!? *waves back* what is being alive, anyway? Lol nice to see ya! I'm trying to be more active around the site as a whole. I've mostly been lurking honestly...

So my cooking's gotten much better. I can improvise with meats and spices. I've been having fun using the pressure cooker and slow cooker. My first attempt at a tuna casserole two weeks ago wasn't too bad.
...and because I'm a friggin' ditz, that skill has to be traded with something else.
I now have trouble making stuff like boxed mac and cheese for some really stupid reason. Yes, go ahead. You can laugh at me... while I learn how to make homemade pumpkin spice lattes. whee
