Celestine Ravencroft Hey guys, it looks like we need to get new header art for our guild. I don't know if it was Shuniya or Arc who posted our original guild headers, but the art isn't showing up anymore. Either that or Photobucket is just borked. It may be time to get some new art anyhow. What would embody the guild today? Here's the thing, Photobucket is now demanding $400 a year in order to even link to something on a site that's not theirs. So we need to put the thing up on a new site. I've been kind of wanting to update the the little banner the guild is using anyhow but I don't have access to that function of the guild. I'll have to get a new link for that and Chef or someone with VC level access will have to throw up that new link in the Guild Settings.

Good to know. Guess that means any avi art I do will have to be linked via Deviant Art. My new works schedule gives me 4 days off in a row, so I might be able to draw something. Maybe we can just make it a thing where anyone who likes to draw can submit one entry for our new banner? Don't have to, just an idea to get more guild involvement. It also may be time to update our officers again.

Thank you I hear you on the work, I 'm doing alot of closing shifts now and with me moving back out west I'm 2 hours behind and it still kinda throws me off a bit

I know at least for the little guild ad banner I can put it on my unused site I'm paying for so we're safe there. I had made a newer one a while back when I updated my own guild's ad banner so I put that one on there. So at least that's one thing for the guild that works.

Wooo..okay, I've finally got a bit of downtime to post here. I went ahead and updated the small banner with the banner Cheebs made. I do like the idea of an updated guild splashpage and new/more art is always welcome. :3 Also, KAGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSS *hugggggggggggg* Hiii. emotion_hug Welcome back!
On a side note, I'm being promoted to shift leader/certified trainer at my job and that's why I've been so busy as of late. I'm undergoing a lot of training and having to take a lot of courses for it. My General Manager eventually wants me to be an Assistant Manager. I'm excited but really nervous. I've never had any experience with management. ;w; I just hope I can do it. It's sometimes hard for me to be assertive, and I don't like to say no to people sometimes. So yeah, the times I'm able to be on will probably be sporadic, but I will try my best to be on at least once a day. As it is now, I'm working 6 days a week, and my hours have been varied each day. As soon as I move up though, it's going to probably closer 40 hours a week; and I'll be having to close two nights a week. I love and miss you all though, so again I'll try my very best to be on when possible. emotion_bigheart emotion_hug

HOly cannoli it's been forever. (WELCOME BACK KAGS AND CEL AND ALSO ME I GUESS LMAO! HI CHEEBS AND CREE!) So I got permanent job status back in April and I've been occupied ever since. I haven't had much time to log in (even with some downtime at work) and I've been EXHAUSTED afterwards because of my 1-2 hour commute afterwards. (Also I have to wake up at 4am for work rip me). BUT HEY. I AM HERE. Also, Photobucket is being a PoS regarding third party hosting, BUT! A long time ago (when Photobucket was being a buggy mess and not displaying images at all) I saved everything from the splash page. I can put it back up temporarily while we ponder updating the page. c: ALSO ALSO!! I went to AX! And I went to the Gaia panel at AX! Lanzer, Zero Omega, and Hellsing were there! And hoLY s**t ASL;KJFASDF I actually got to ask a question during Q&A! A lot of what I already thought of was asked and answered, so I asked about the last thing I could think of: Rejected Olympics! Because we were ROBBED of our precious event, I asked if there was any chance of it (or similar events that will take place in Towns 2 or the upcoming Towns 3) were coming back, and Lanzer said yes! He really liked the RO, so THERE IS HOPE FOR US YET (I AM SOORRY FOR THE RANDOM CAPS I'M JUST SO EXCITED AND EXCITED TO SHARE MY EXCITEMENT WITH YOU ALL BECAUSE I LOVE AND MISS YOU GUYS). Oh, and I got two conventioneer codes but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use them emotion_donotwant TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN. I MISSED A FEW DAYS BUT IF YOU'RE STILL STREAMING I WILL BE THERE

I'm glad you are working your way up the ladder at work. It'll mean a better paycheck and will look great on a resume if you ever decide to change your career. I myself am looking at trying to get a different job in town because I've had all I can take of the nonsense where I'm at. Ma can't keep working there because it's way too hard on her at this point, and frankly puts more stress on her than what is necessary at her age (she's supposed to be retired, but she's basically still working full time because her SS is sucky due to retiring early). I hope I can get a new job by the end of August and get the heck out of my current job.

Heya Chef, welcome back. I'm glad the job situation is getting better for you. When things get more stabilized, you might want to consider moving closer to where you work to cut out the commute. It'll save time, money, and leave you less exhausted. Believe me, I know what work exhaustion is like because that's been my life since about February of this year. Double shifts multiple times each week and bad situations with employees and the people we work with haven't made things any better. I can't tell you how many times in the past two months my schedule has been flipped inside out. And I'm now doing graveyard (plus a double) three nights a week. Not looking forward to going to work tonight.

Thanks Cel! Believe me, I've considered it. And recent events have cause me to give even more consideration and I'm going to start looking now. I don't want to wake up at 4am and get home from 4-5pm. I don't want my only choice for commute (barring waking up EVEN EARLIER) to be a winding mountain road, a road completely dependent on good weather because fire in the dry season and rain in the wet season can shut it down. And I don't want to risk falling asleep on the wheel because the commute and the work day exhausts me. (Recent events being I rear ended someone BECAUSE I dozed off at the wheel for 5 seconds. I'm fine and the other driver was fine, thankfully.) Goodness your work situation is hectic. Hope you have a bearable shift tonight, and every night/day/what have you!

Whoa! Ok, I think I'll give the MP a few days to adjust to the new system before I start listing stuff again. Hehe, went to look for something with multiple listings only to find there was nothing. Yeah, it'll be crazy for a few days, but that's standard. I'm cool with it. Not so sure that I like the new Gaia home page design though.
