I go into M&R every now and then. Most of the time I'm just confused and lost. I really dislike it.

The world is ending. I just signed up for a Reclaiming workshop at the UU church-type building. I'm going to spend an entire weekend with...other pagans. Non-recon type pagans...
The end of the world really.

The end of the world really. I'm scared of other pagans *quiver* Well who wouldn't be? Honestly. Look at us. Nuri: pastimes include dressing oddly, shaking her hips, sharp pointy objects, Autism Wrangling, science fiction and fantasy, drinking diet coke and tea (thankfully not together) and Classical Religion. I'd be friggen scared of me too.

Hobbies include - pagan theology, classical history and religion, pre-raphaelite artwork, being snarky and snobby, cleaning and re-organising my living space.
Hmm...I see your point xd
I remember some leading member of the OBOD come onto a religious debate show and I started ranting to my father about bastardizing cultures. He just sort of...blinked and stepped backwards xD

Why is it that some pagans community have such a problem with recons?
I've been told I'm snobby and stuffy and only believe my gods are correct because they are 'ancient'. In responce to me politely saying I don't really get the idea of just creating new gods.
I don't get it! In my opinion Deity comes first, then name and archetype, not name and archetype then deity xD

Tell your dad next time that he's dealing with one to call him a bréagdraoi. I'll skype with you and give you a pronunciation if you liken but it's close to BRAY-UG DREE. But run the ay and ee together.

But run the ay and ee together. Better yet, lay the challenge of fethercerne on him. I'll dig it up for you when I get home, so that you have it properly, but it amounts to "What is your name, by what road have you come here, what is your path, what tidings do you bring". It tests several key important things among the draoi and gives us a great insight into their ways. If they don't answer satisfactorally, you have the right to curse them however you see fit.

ShadowSharrow that is such an apt term. Isn't it? I haven't told my story from Friday yet. We thought Dewey was sick, and we were down a TA so yay, breaking even. Dewey shows up late. A period or so later, Dewey takes off all of his clothes. Dewey goes home after lunch. Just a normal day in the High Functioning Autism classroom. Damn you woman! Getting me into more webcomics!

It isn't American news if John Stewart or Stephen Colbert didn't cover it. ninja
Can't trust the rest of those fear mongering clowns... But you can trust a laugh-mongering clown. 3nodding

But you can trust a laugh-mongering clown. 3nodding Largely agreed, though I gotta watch the local news so I know what's going on here. I pretty much get to choose between two flavors: The clueless newscasters and the overdramatic newscasters.
