"That is not why I want to know." The Count said from his position. "There are many Rosies around this city. I know a lab that has tested on at least three of them." Edmond paused so he could maintain the voice he was using. "If I know where the Rosies are it is easier to watch and see if the people who work at the lab come after the girls. " Edmond paused again "That is how I found this one. Unfortunately, it was not someone from the lab who attacked her." The Count explained as he waited. He could tell that what the Crime Doctor was doing was hurting Rosie but Edmond couldn't do much about it. This kind of thing always hurt, she would get over it, or pass out. Passing out wasn't always a bad alternative.

Jason was impressed with the mutant as he reached out and shook her hand. He thought to himself:
wow, she's even cuter without her mask.
He smiled when she finished speaking. He hadn't had anyone trustworthy to work with in a long time. Not to mention, she was quite the looker.
"Great," he said. "So now we know each other."
He placed his small, black facemask back over his eyes, but kept his helmet down by his side. "But now I need you to help me find someone, Angelica."

"Well... I don't know anything about any laboratories." the Crime Doctor replied, doing his best to extract the bullet as gently as he could. "This is the second "Rosie" that I have come across." It didn't take him long to pull the bullet out of the girls leg. He was used to working quickly, and the girl was doing a remarkable job at holding her leg still. It was also surprising to see that she was still fully awake despite the pain and blood loss.

"This is the fourth one I have met. They all seem to have varying amounts of awareness about the lab." Dantes explained. He pulled back on his bowstring a little to occupy himself. Despite what he wanted to believe Edmond was not a very patient person so he did little things like that to preoccupy himself. It was around then that he came up with another question for the Crime Doctor. This question pertained to something a little more personal. "There is a clown in this city, he shot me. Do you know his name?" the Count had other reasons for wanting to pursue a clown who had shot a kid but right now he was focusing on the fact that the Joker had shot him.

"My, you must really be new to this city." the man mused as he set his tools down. He then moved to the other tools he had lying out and waiting and went about stitching the girls' leg back up. "Simply saying there's a clown in the city is a fairly vague description... but the only one that would openly shoot a masked man would be Gotham's famed Joker." he said. Rosie squealed again into the rag as he went back to work on her leg. He gently patted her leg, but kept his focus on finishing his work rather than comfort her. "If you're looking for him, I'm afraid I can't help you." he said, then very briefly looked back at Edmond. "The last time I made a visit to his building... it was destroyed not long after I left." he said, then turned back around. If the man had paid attention... that should have hinted at an answer to his former question. He believed he had stated that the first Rosie's house was no longer around anyway. He may not have. He forgot what he had said when he multi-tasked.

"Not new, just distracted. Lots of work to do in Gotham before I can move forward." Edmond explained why he didn't know who the Joker was. Obviously he would have to look into the clown now. After reflecting on what the Crime Doctor said next the Count became slightly upset. Now he really did have to go after the clown. Emily hadn't contacted him so he had plenty of time and he wasn't worried about close rang combat so he didn't need to drop by Carla's shop. Edmond set his bow down and pulled his phone from a side pocket on his quiver. He began going through the traffic cameras it was connected to, looking through everything that had happened on the streets in the last thirty minutes. He remembered the car and plate number of the car the Joker had been in so finding the mad man would not be a challenge in the slightest. He just had to follow it through the various cameras around Gotham until it stopped. "You knew the clown had one of the Rosies and you tried to protect that information..." Edmond put his phone away, so it could continue the search, and he grabbed his bow. "Why?"

"As I said... doctor patient hush-hush." the Crime Doctor replied, focusing more on stitching the girl up than keeping an eye on the Count. "Another reason... was that the child was in no apparent danger other than being clumsy with playing tag with her care takers. As out of character as it may seem for the Clown Prince of Crime... she seemed to be an adopted daughter to him. What IS in character for the Clown, is to make those who cross him very much dead." he said, then fully focused on the child. As he finished stitching her up, he set his tools aside and grabbed another set of sterile wipes to clean her leg again. Once finished, he went about bandaging her leg.

"Doctor patient confidentiality only applies in a court room or if the information will be used against him in court. So you better stop using that excuse. There will be no court for the clown." The Count said. His voice very nearly slipped up and he almost put himself at risk, but he managed not to. He did however let it slip that he was familiar with legal terms something he would rather not have given away "You know why I like arrows? You don't have to worry about someone getting back up after they take three to the chest and a bow reloads much faster than a gun." Edmond paused so the doctor could finish his work. "If I was worried that the clown could kill me, I would have shot him in the back of the neck when I had the chance." Edmond paused again this time to maintain the voice. "He is untrained, unskilled, and he probably thinks I am dead. I have every advantage."

"The doctor patient bit is more for my own protection, as well as the promise of returning customers. If I gossiped about my patients to anyone who came and asked about them, I'd have a much harder time finding any work. And no work means I have to go back to being privately hired for... other work." the Crime Doctor replied. He took a moment to finish wrapping a cloth around the child's leg to keep the bandage under it from getting dirty or bleeding through, then rubbed the girls shoulder. "There now, all done. Now you just need to have your friend here get you some child-friendly pain killers, and a nice little tube of ice cream."He then stood straight again and took off his bloody gloves before tossing them on a nearby trash can. "Oh, it's not a question of being afraid that he'll kill you. If you get in his way, he will. And it's not a question of him being untrained or unskilled. He has the means of taking out highly skilled heroes who have trained for years... and he has. The Joker has also been stabbed, shot, cut up, blown up, dropped off a skyscraper, and eaten by sharks... supposedly. You could shoot him with as many arrows as you'd like and he'd still likely live to come back for you."

"Well it's not as if I was asking you to tell me about one of your regulars. " Edmond responded simply to the part about doctor patient hush hush. The Count reached back and pulled an arrow with a syringe-like tip from his quiver and he tossed it to Rosie. Inside was a clear liquid commonly used by Edmond as a pain killer. Fortunately it was child friendly. Edmond also had arrows that would put Rosie to sleep but the dosage was intended for adults and so he didn't say anything about it. Besides, it would put her under for a while and he didn't imagine taking a bullet out of a child took very long "Inject your leg, unless I gave you the wrong one, it should dull the pain." Edmond ordered before returning his attention to the Crime Doctor. "Tell me doctor, does the Joker bleed?"

Rosie picked up the arrow, then looked up at the Count for a moment. The Crime Doctor looked down at her, then moved his hands to take it from her. Assuming that the child wouldn't know how to properly inject herself, or that she wouldn't want to. However the little girl turned the arrow upright and placed the tip close to her bandage. Before he had a chance to offer to do it for her, the tip of the arrow sank into her leg. With the pain she had gone through a moment ago, a little needle was next to nothing. A bit impressed, the Crime Doctor turned his attention back towards the Count. "Yes, he does." he replied. "Many people have seen him bleeding after a good tussle with the Bat."

"Then tell me doctor, what happens when a man has no more blood left to bleed?" The Count asked as he watched Rosie for any negative reactions to the liquid painkiller he had given her. when he felt it was safe to stop examining Rosie he did and returned his focus to the Crime Doctor "If something bleeds it can be killed. Besides, if the Joker kills me at least you don't have to worry about another visit." Edmond wasn't threatening the Crime Doctor. Being a vigilante, he got hurt and people around him got hurt. He couldn't take them to normal hospitals because he wore a mask and he was not going to take them to his base. That was just a bad idea. Odds were that he would see the Crime Doctor at least one more time before moving on from Gotham.

"I suppose that's true..." the Crime Doctor replied. Interest clear in his voice. "Though I'll admit this has been a rather interesting visit. Not often someone comes to me to fix up a bleeding child who would just as easily let anyone else bleed out. I would say never, but... must be something in the water now a days." he said. Joker certainly would do more than just let someone bleed out, and he was highly protective of his Rosie it seemed.

"I didn't intend for it to be a visit. I was going to fix the leg and leave as quickly as possible but you surprised us." Dantes explained. He walked over and took the arrow from Rosie seeing as she didn't need it anymore. He broke the tip off and tossed it into the dumpster in the alleyway. He then put the shaft back in the quiver towards the very far right so he knew not to grab it again. "There is a difference between letting a child die, and letting a serial killer die. Besides," The Count took in a deep breath so he could continue with his voice for what he was going to say "This will be my first actual warning to the Joker. I will try not to kill him and I have the arrows to do so. Then, after a while he will probably get out of Arkham. Then you should be concerned about me trying to kill him. Everybody gets a second chance, certain people earn a third. He isn't one of them."

"I don't believe the Joker will take the second chance you give him to change his ways. He never has with the Bat, or anyone else." the Crime Doctor replied. The little girl sighed lightly and shifted on the dumpster. "Will he stay in Arkham for very long?" she asked. "Well, I suppose that depends on how he's feeling or who is out to help him." he replied. "Sometimes he's in for months, sometimes only a few days."
