(Lloish isn't really rolling to toss Susqueek. It's more that he's going to assist him if he makes a jump check.)

"He's getting away!" Sighting on the faerie fire shrouded figure, Lloish starts running again, skirting around the group of elves to try and get closer.

(Ideally, at the end of his run move, Susqueek will hurtle through the air and tackle the elven commander. Nothing tells an army to back off like "I've got your leader and knife-point.")

Meanwhile, Ne Pah hisses to himself with satisfaction as he drags the unconscious elf out of the melee. If the man isn't wearing armor and looks to be equal or less than a gazelle in size...well, Ne Pah hasn't had a nice warm meal in a while. Otherwise, Ne Pah will coil up on top of him possessively and wait for the Thanatos' one-sided combat to resolve.

rolling jump because it wont be completely voluntary anyway.

Success, Susqueek is away. Roll attack/grapple if you choose to do so. Ne Pah decides not to devour this tin can of metal (his armor was really the reason he was taken down). A downed elf by a sword nearby though...

ANNOUNCEMENT:
exclaim Myself and several of the others will be busy except for weekends, and because this composes several of the current key players, I will draw this out to weekly updates. If there are actions that do not involve these characters, I will attempt to compensate with my now traditional white text. Thank you for understanding, and don't feel that this means you cannot post in the meantime, whether you have been active or not. exclaim

Mmm....dead, armorless elf. Ne Pah has lunch.

-

With Susqueek away, Lloish spits another volley of darts at the command group to keep them distracted. (+8/+ cool

-

Seeing as how this game is going to slow down a bit over the next couple weeks, allow me to make a shameless plug:

If anyone's checked the main forums for Entropic Forge lately, they might have noticed a post entitled "Let's Play Lone Wolf." While it's not strictly an RPG, it is pretty close. What's more, the whole forum can play it at the same time.

So, if you feel inclined, why not drop by and check it out? I'll be glancing at it pretty regularly, so all posts will get a speedy response.

Not sure exactly how Im supposed to respond so here goes nothing. Thanatos checks to see how the battle is going, helping his men out where he can, and hoping to rout the remaing elven batallion. He also checks to see if anymore batallions are coming, and there numbers, as well as checking to see how many people he has remaining.

(Aleran, I'm glad one of us is keeping an eye on overall tactics instead of rolling out to skirmish with the command group.

Also, just to keep this game rolling, maybe BigMage should NPC some of the other characters a little bit if they haven't posted by the weekend. I'm not suggesting permanently converting anyone to NPC status, just moving their character around in a realistic manner if they're not inclined to do it themselves. That would mean a little bit more work for BigMage, but if he's up to it...

Then again, working at Cachalot can be a crapton of work, so he might be too tired to DM and run multiple characters. If that's the case, I understand and sympathize.)

(your group seems to be having a large upper hand, as the elves' forces dwindle infront of your troops. Several ranks of archers are missing.)

((Well, I'm gonna say he was launched successfully))
Sursqueek tackles an elf who smells of horse manure carrying a shovel. It is in fact the man covered with the farie light, but not the lord you saw earlier.

"Darn those tricky elves! they have decieved us in a most amusing manner. Well played good fellow!"
Sursqueek apologizes profusely and shakes the elf's hand, then makes his way back to Lloish.

Lloish stares aghast at the downed elf. Not regal at all. Oh, no. Not unless the elven nobles were really keen on getting back to nature. With 'nature' meaning stables, and 'getting back to' meaning shoveling them out.

Taking a few horrified moments, Lloish regards the remaining mass of elves in the command group. Is it possible that he had simply highlighted the wrong elf? They do all look alike, with their pointy ears and Swedish complexions. He studies them for obvious insignia. (spot+12)

Giving in to a nervous tic, he flicks out his tongue and licks one eye.

Ne Pah, uncle Lloish's plan has hit something of a snag. Could you let Thanatos know?

-

A good many full round run actions away, the constrictor stops with half a leg in its mouth. It seems to be arguing with someone in the privacy of its own mind. Finally, with a roll of its eyes, it slithers back and disengages from the dead elf dinner.

Ne Pah makes her way over to Thanatos and attempts to pantomime a stables-elf getting hit with the faerie fire. (I have no idea what you would roll for this situation, so we're going to call it the little used skill of innuendo, going on a -8 due to Ne Pah's low charisma. Have fun figuring that out, Thanatos.)

-

If Lloish can figure out which elf is the leader, he will attempt to drop him with another volley of darts (+8/+8, spirit gargle on hit. First set of saves is DC 16, DC 20, DC 13.) Otherwise, he'll call out to the command group to "Stand down. Your leader's fled and your army's falling apart. It's the only reasonable thing to do."

Oh god oh god oh god oh god. Please don't let the lord be somewhere in the command group. If he is, Lloish's going to eat a dart and die. stressed

Also, Ne Pah's pantomime comes out at a -2.

Im going to ballpark it here, and say that I have no idea what the giant snake is trying to tell me... After being confused and distraught by the snakes confusing movements, Thanatos rallys the men to finish off the last of the elves, and prevents them from chasing down any stragglers. Instead he has them begin to fortify this position. (Knowledge Warfare?)

Sursqueek brushes himself off and moves back to Lloish

"Lloish, it is possible the leader of this steadfast force had noticed you outline on himself and cast the same spell on one of his own man in an act of sacrificial legerdemain. It's also possible that there is no direct leader of this force and he was disguised as a leader the whole time. If you can detect magic, I recommend doing so to see if you can locate his position that way. In the mean time we should focus on the forces at hand and remain vigilant for the leader to pop up again. Could you hold this for me?" he says as he passes Lloish his wire-topped flask." All that running has built up quite a bit of static"

He readies his jagged and rusty sword in one hand, pointing it in the direction of the nearest relatively large looking group as his fur begins to stand on end.

(Great idea, Sykle.)

"The possibility...hadn't really occurred to me," Lloish looks vaguely abashed. It's hard to tell because sometimes his scales change color for no good reason. "It seems like a sound strategy, though. I'll give it a shot."

Lloish waves one hand distractedly, searching for other traces of magic (or specifically faerie fire) in the area.

When Sursqueek offers the flask, he extends his other hand: the one not busy making occult gestures. As his fingers close around the stoppered bottle, a tiny arc of bluish light jumps from the rodent to the lizard. "Ow! Owowow! You weren't kidding. I can't imagine what your people's warrens are like in the winter."

-

Elsewhere, content at having at least tried, Ne Pah finds a place in the sun inside of Thanatos' fortified area to curl up and nap.

You fail to notice the leader again. You look over the group, and other than the highlighted lords, you notice the rest are all peasantry or common folk. This doesn't seem to be the group you first saw. Roll reflex. From the trees- "Damn, there goes my last one."
