Ramas walked away from the inn and towards a narrow alley. "Now let’s see is it on the left or right?" Ramas said aloud while trying to remember where the building was. He took a right and hoped for the best. There were a few people in the small alleyway, some were poor and others were incredibly rich, but this was because not many people knew what was in these alleys. Ramas spotted the building he was looking for ahead of him. The entrance would have easily been passable had it not been for one thing. Above the doorway there was a large symbol. It showed a rock like object with a sword stuck through the side, there was also a shield that was chiseled through the rock and a staff that stood on top. This was Ramas' family's old seal. Not many knew that of course. He entered the door into a hot and dark room.
Once Ramas' eyes adjusted to the dark he could hear banging coming from a doorway in the back. Ramas made his way to the doorway. He could see the silhouettes of weapons in viewing cases as he passed them. In the back he saw a person forging a new weapon while chanting a spell. "WHATCHA DOIN?" Ramas yelled at the top of his lungs. The person missed the blade with the hammer and touched the hot steel. Immediately she dropped the hammer and brought her hand back real quick. "Now who in the hell....BROTHER!!!" the woman ran right up to Ramas and kicked him in the shin. " That was for the burn." She said then nearly toppled him over while hugging him. "Where have you been?"
Ramas smiled. " I've been to beythemesia and back Meryll, I've even managed to get a good job while i'm here." Meryll's eyes got big. " So you staying here?"
" Well its only for a few days unless i can manage to get it done fast. Then i'll stay for awhile." Now Meryll was almost crushing him with her hug. "You should just stay here. At least until big brother comes." Ramas hadn't heard from his only remaining brother since they all escaped the assassination.
"That can't happen sis, cause if it did than i couldn't bring you your allowence." Ramas handed her his small money satchel. " This should last you if you've been able to sell anything recently." Meryll finally let go of him. " Well its not like many people can find this place, but I did sell two swords to some rich guy who finally stumbled upon me. He had to come back with someone to lug that thing here." She pointed to a chest sitting in the corner. " I even managed to get him to pay more than the swords were worth. They didn't have any abilities set in them or anything. Just the normal strengthening. That reminds me, your stuff holding up?"
" yep they haven't broke yet. The armor doesn't even have a dent in it and the sword is fine. Hey you wouldn't happen to have a booth in the trade show do you?"
" Not today of course. But i set up for a spot. Isn't that big but if i can sell something it'll be worth it."
" good. Then i was wondering if you could help me with something."

Brief History: Meryll is Ramas' only little sister left alive. She had managed to escape from being killed like the rest of the family and had relied on Ramas' help until he left to become a soldier. After Ramas came home he had taken her to Thelmios where she lives to this day. She picked up the ability to forge weapons and armor when she was wandering the streets and came across one of the oldest smiths in town. She has since taken over his old business when he died and has continued the trade ever since, using her knowledge of earth magics to strengthen them.
