Earthswordsman So I've been testing the waters for a week or so, and I think I'm gonna be back for a while. Looking forward to getting re-acquainted with everybody. Here's hoping for another Rejected Olympics this summer. Welcome Back!

omg legit my history exam was E A S Y. So easy. One of the questions asked "What does Canada mean to you?" And I died laughing. Half the exam was multiple choice, anyways. It was actually one of my better exams, and I'm hopeful that I'll do well in my science exam next!

Do you guys not get a summer vacation at all in Canada? Is it seriously school all freaking year? If so, that mega rots. June is half over and people have been out from school since the end of May in the states. Won't go back until mid-August.

You're all so lucky ^_^;; My particular school is non-semestered, so all my exams all happen in june, and I don't have mid-terms, save for standardized testing like EQAO (I have to do EQAO testing in grade 3,6,9, and 12) and the literacy test I took in March. Once exams are over, near the end of june I get my final term report card, and then I only start school in september. I never realized it was different in the US surprised

There are still some schools (mostly private) that don't end until mid-June and don't go back until after Labor Day.

I was expecting a phone call yesterday, but since I didn't get a call, I was hoping that the place would call me today for work. Didn't happen.

Then senior year it's the senior exit exams (a royal pain). There are semester finals at the end of both fall and spring in high school, and the spring semester finals can get you put into summer school if you don't get a decent passing grade (at least in Texas its like that.) College goes by spring and fall semesters too, with some lighter classes in summer. College students are usually out for the semester breaks several weeks before grades k-12.

MasturChef There are still some schools (mostly private) that don't end until mid-June and don't go back until after Labor Day. That's one of the crummy disadvantages to private schools in the U.S. I honestly prefer the public school way of out early, back early. Going to classes in the middle of sweltering heat is not cool (no puns intended).

One of the downsides of being a responsible adult.

Going to classes in the middle of sweltering heat is not cool (no puns intended). Quite frankly I preferred getting back to school after Labor Day. It gave me a nice extra day before school started. And it works better with the California weather. Over here, it's relatively cool throughout most of June and the worst of the heat happens in August. So you got to avoid the worst of the heat and only had to deal with about a month of really awful heat (that being September). Fall doesn't start here until late October to mid November xD

Fall doesn't start here until late October to mid November xD Gee, that must be so nice *stares icily at the weather forecast 90s, 90s, 90s, 90s,....heat index over 100 scream All this before the normal 'summer' for up north #thoughtIleftthatcrapbehindinTexas* It's not supposed to be like this in the Midwest, but this year everything is just backwards. Last year we barely even got an autumn. Have a feeling it'll be the same this year. We jump from winter to summer without much of a spring to speak of, and then fall makes a ghost appearance before we get dumped on by winter again. The seasons really need to figure themselves out and get back to normal. #dizzy
