Kayla swerved back and forth as she sleepily swayed in the direction of the song that beckoned her. She managed to avoid all major obstacles that ran into her path physically as she continued to dream.
"You know that is a mighty sweet sound you are drawn to Kayla but don't you think it is a little strange." Came a voice within her mind. It was one of the people that she 'absorbed' in her quest for power before she was cleared of her madness.
"It is a beautiful sound and why should I not be allowed to seek out beauty in my own dreams? Is my sin so deep you try to take away even this moment of beauty that breaks through the haze of my guilt." She said both in the dream and out loud as her body stopped momentarily.
The man shook his head and reached out to her dream self putting his hand upon her face. She could feel his mind trickling into her consciousness distorting the sound she was listening to making it less desirable and haunting. "Things are not always what they seem. I might not have a body of my own anymore but that does not mean I wish for you to suffer as you do."

Azrael followed the trail into the forest, and as he followed Kayla's scent, he also caught the vague scents of Logain and Alunn. "Two of other guests are also out here." He told Miluiel.
Shinn sniffed around for something, but it seemed to be clear. That didn't mean much, though. His father had told him that the air in caves made it hard to track older scents. With such still air, a new scent was incredibly easy to keep after, but if the trail was older, it would mingle with any other scents in the caves and become almost indistinguishable. After going over one of the smaller rocks, he started to catch something, it wasn't a fresh scent, so it was masked by cave air, but it was not an old scent. But even then that wasn't quite right, the scent was masked by more than just cave air, he thought he smelt...
"Guys, over here! I found something." Came the voice of the other female that had been with them, Nella. "Her voice was excited but nervous.
Izual and Lunalia ran over to where Nella was, and Shinn turned to his sister. "Let's check it out." He said, leading Shera over to where the others had gathered. "What did you find?" He asked.
Nella nodded for Shinn to bring the light closer to the ground. "There's been a fire. I smell char on the rock here. And... I found this." Nella raised a piece of cloth up toward the light so the others could see it. It was red, and bore a white symbol of three interconnected rings behind what appeared to be a yellow eagle. It wasn't like any symbol that they had seen, but they were sure it wasn't from any werewolf tribe, the fairies that lived in the lake, and certainly not an elven symbol.
The older pups all looked at each other before Izual spoke up. "Wh-where did this come from? how did this get here?" He asked nervously.
Lunalia sniffed at the cloth and drew her head back. Her hackles rose and her eyes tensed. "I don't know the scent... its not from around here. It's not elf, I've smelt the messengers that come to our village so I know that much." She said looking around suspiciously, as if some stranger might pop out any moment.
Shinn bent his head and sniffed the cloth. He started to growl angrily. "It's a bit different... but I've smelt it before... it's Human. We need to go tell an adult." He was worried, if there were humans, then it meant bad trouble for the tribe. "C'mon we need to leave and tell someone."

Pets leave paw prints ......Miluiel felt a shiver ripple through her body. "You don't think they have something to do with this do you dear? Do you think that they are the ones who have called to Kayla?" It seemed very suspicious that they would all disappear together. "What if they had ill content coming here and Kayla was just what they were looking for?" She asked nervously.Shera nodded briefly before she jumped into action to beat Shinn to the area of gathering. Once she saw what had been found she felt a numb sense of dread as different looks were tossed about the group. She could tell the older members of their group were nervous, it showed in their voices. "What does this mean Shinn?" She asked nervously. "What do you think it is?" The urgency in Shinn's voice scared her....... on our hearts.

Azrael growled softly. "They might, but we have no proof, and unless we find them we will never have that proof." Azrael said, sniffing the air to keep at the trail. "If they did come here with ill-intent toward Kayla, then they will have violated the tribe's peace, and we will force them away from our home. If there is some other reason for this, then we'll need to resolve it." He did not mention that anyone who broke the tribe's peace made themselves enemies eternal, and would likely be killed by member of the tribe who encountered that enemy, because that was one of the lessons that Miluiel had been taught when she had joined their tribe.
Shinn looked at Shera. "This belongs to bad people Shera. They'll try to hurt our home! We've gotta tell the first grown-up we see!" He told her. Shinn got back on all fours and crouched low. "Get on my back Shera. We need to tell them now." He said to his sister.

Pets leave paw prints ......Miluiel ran on for a moment after her husband in silence. She knew the unspoken words that drifted through the air between them. Suddenly Miluiel began to slow down. She stopped, standing tall in her skin of fur. She lifted her head and sniffed at the air. "I-is it my mistake or has their scent disappeared?" She asked her husband with a slight chill that reached deeply into her bones. She took a few steps back to where the scent still lay in the dirt and the surrounding bushes. She stepped forward and suddenly it disappeared.
Shera nodded, and without a second of hesitation she climbed up onto her brother's back. "The bad people?" She asked in a trembling voice. She buried her snout into Shinn's back, between his shoulder blades. "I don't want anyone to hurt our home." She said in a muffled voice. Shera was scared now, she didn't want anything to come and hurt her friends, her family, or her home. ...... on our hearts.

"We need to go now." Shinn said to the others. They nodded back to him and they began to run back to the village, with Shinn and Lunalia taking the lead. As they were just about at the village, an adult wearing a warrior's armband. "Gujora!" Shinn called out to the adult, skidding to a halt.
The grown werewolf stopped and looked at the pups in front of him. "Hello there, young ones. What seems to be the matter?"
"W-we found this in a cave by the lake!" Said Lunalia nervously holding out the piece of cloth they had found.
The adult took it and looked at it. A grim expression caught the werewolf's face. "You pups should get home. I need to show this to the Alpha, right away." The werewolf excused himself and started to run off toward the village.
Shinn turned to the others. "We're gonna go back to the house. Maybe we can play later tonight." He said, though a bit nervously. Lunalia and the others said a quiet 'see you later' in an equally nervous tone. "Let's go to the house. Do you wanna get down?" Shinn asked his little sister.
Azrael growled softly and around the forest. "There's nothing past here. The trail simply stopped, and there's no tracks or anything left from any of them." He said.
"Alpha!" Cried a voice. One of the tribe's warriors was running up to Azrael and Miluiel. Something was wrong. "Alpha, some of the children found this in one of the nearby caves." She said. "It looks like a human symbol." The female warrior handed Azrael the cloth.
Grabbing the cloth, Azrael's anger started to boil up within him, but he kept it in check. "Gujora, please check in with all those who might be returning from the scouts. If they've found anything strange, have them tell Shana about it. Make sure to inform Shana about what has been found." He instructed the warrior. Azrael looked to Miluiel sadly. "I need to call a meeting. I wanted to do so later tonight, but the tribe needs to know now. We should find Lauvel first. Some of his information might be needed." He told her.

Pets leave paw prints ......As nervous and confused as she was Shera shook her head. "No, I'd rather stay here." She wined softly. "Do you think momma and daddy will be home?" She asked her big brother. "Will they know what to do? We won't have to leave will we?" She asked nearly in tears.
Miluiel felt a shiver rush through her long body. This was not good news, where in the world had Kayla and the others gone? It was highly suspicious. Miluiel turned around quickly when she heard the nervous bark of the sentry. Miluiel rushed forward to examine the symbol that now lay in her husband's hands. Almost instantly she could feel the enormous amount of heat his body was putting off. She stepped back slightly.
When her husband turned to face her however she was ready to act. Nodding she proposed an offer, "If you like I can go find Lauvel while you go and begin the meeting. It shouldn't take me terribly long to track him down. I have a feeling time is not a luxury we cannot afford today." She said softly, but quickly. ...... on our hearts.

Azrael sighed, but knew that Miluiel was right. "Then please, find Lauvel, I will call the tribe together. Hopefully we can find Kayla and the other two afterward." He conceded. "I'd ask you to be careful, but I know that you will be. I shall see you soon, love. I'll go call everyone to the Long House." He told her, Kissing her on the cheek quickly before he headed back toward the village.
When he arrived he morphed back into his trued from and made his way to the Long House. When he arrived he raised his head and howled, sending out a message to the rest of the tribe that would inform them to meet at the Long House as soon as possible.
Shinn looked around at this sister and gave her what he hoped was a reassuring look. "It'll be okay. They always know what to do!" He told her, though he himself was very nervous. The sound of Azrael's howl went through the air and he did his best to nuzzle his sister on his back. "Papa's called a meeting. We go to the long house." He said, knowing very well that everyone needed to be at the meeting, regardless of age. Shinn started to make his way to to the Long House, hoping against hope that they would find some way to make the humans go away.
Lauvel sat on a rock where he was sketching forest around him with a piece of charcoal. He heard the howl in the air and shivered. I never liked that sound. I hope things are alright, he thought, concerned for what might be happening.

Pets leave paw prints ......Miluiel nodded dutifully. "Yes. I will go find Lauvel. See you back at camp." She said with a half smile. Miluiel returned the loving gesture before she turned and ran off into the forest. She began to call for the elf by name, hoping he was close enough to hear her. She was also hopeful that no one else was out in the forest who might present a problem to her mission.
Shera snuggled against her brother's back. "Shinn I am so scared, I want mommy." She whined softly. She didn't understand the danger of the situation. She didn't understand the intent to harm. ...... on our hearts.

Lauvel blinked and looked up from his drawing upon hearing his name called. He followed the voice and it was Miluiel. "Oh! Hello Miluiel, I was just finishing up a sketch of the forest. This place has great beauty, I could not miss the chance to capture the scene." He said with a smile. Lauvel's expression drooped when he was close enough to see worry written in her expression. "Is everything alright?" He asked, himself concerned.
Shinn stopped and looked back at his sister. "A meeting was called. Everyone goes to tribe meetings. Mum will be there. Papa will be there too. With the whole pack, nothing bad'll happen." Shinn braved a smile to show that he believed that things would be alright. "And I'm here too!"

Logain sighed once more as Alunn's spell reached its completion. Kayla would be isolated from the rest of the world, as well as they, so long as the spell was kept up. "Well then, Alunn, shall we get this over with?" He inquired, gesturing over toward where he sensed Kayla's presence.

Miluiel heard the elf’s voice nearby. She could hear his every word as she finally drew close enough to make him out. She nodded with a slight smile, “It is very beautiful.” Miluiel agreed. “I am sorry to interrupt you Lauvel, but we have a rather pressing matter that needs to be discussed.” Miluiel said in a lower tone. She shook her head sadly. “They have found something,” She said very quietly in case anyone was listening in on them. “Azrael is calling a meeting. We must hurry, would you rather run along with me, or if you prefer I can carry you.” She offered in a rushed tone.
Shera dug her snout into her brother’s shoulder. “B-but if there is a meeting that means this is really serious Shinn, aren’t you afraid that we might have to leave our home?” Shera asked. She blinked rapidly only to produce a wet tear that rolled down her fur. “I don’t want to leave, I don’t want anyone hurt. Why can’t they just leave and not hurt us?” The pup was very confused. The vision in her mind’s eye was of a large pack of demons that would pop out of the woods at any minute and try to eat them. The mark was mysterious, and the mystery in itself terrified her. She didn’t quite know what to make of it.

"It would be best to. Though I must warn you, I can't work any other magic here, and my shades are part of the spell itself, which in short means I am defenseless, besides my bite" Alunn replied, moving to the room Kayla was in. "Also, all of my magic is canceled upon those that enter here."

Kayla felt strange as her consciousness returned to her. The man in her dreams faded away as she realized she was in a strange room barren of anything noticeable. "Am I still dreaming?" she asked out loud to no one in particular as her words seem to reverberate slightly.
It was then she noticed there were other sounds besides herself coming from behind a door nearby. Her body tensed up and she jumped back away from the door. Her hand instinctively reached for the blade at her side unsure of many things.
"Who or whatever you are, you better not mean ill intent or you might find me a tough opponent." Kayla called out toward the door expecting it to burst open. If this was a dream it was very strange and realistic.
