RP response: The pod of dolphins swam darted between Dhavan and the monster. The distraction was enough, and it turned to follow them. They slowed down just enough to keep its attention but moved fast enough to stay out of its grasps. The Kraken used its thick tentacles to swipe at them to no avail. That was when Dhavan saw his opportunity, and took it. He lunged in after the Kraken had swung, landing a blow to one of its many arms. Total Damage Done: 25

RP response: He didn't time it well enough. Dhavan fumbled his next attempt. The Kraken was so large, and the depths were so much darker than before, that he hadn't realized a large rock formation lay beyond the tentacle. He had charged and missed spectacularly, swimming straight into the rocks! A dull thunk resounded under the currents as his vision went to pure black. It quickly returned in little sparkles and his head started to throb. "Oww..." Total Damage Done: 25

RP response: He discovered just how long those tentacles were when the Kraken retaliated for his headbutt by swinging one of its appendages at Oannes, sweeping the poor Mer back so far he had to frantically swim back. RP response: The Alicorn caught sight of the dolphins, they were starting to lose some steam and were getting closer and closer to the Kraken's fearsome maw. Scared for his friends, Dhavan rushed in again! He missed! He tumbled through the water until finally skidding to a stop on the sandy ocean floor. He could already feel his skin stinging, and his body ache. Total Damage Done: 25

RP response: Slowly he raised his head to watch the fight above. Most of the dolphins had swam for cover where the Kraken could not follow, but not all of them. Aslyn, who had injured herself earlier, struggled with all of her might to stay one tail ahead of the creature. She was beginning to lose that battle. "No!" Dhavan yelled at the Kraken. His heart pounded in his chest, working to send the adrenaline his body needed coursing through him. All other sounds were drowned out by the blood rushing through his ears. He charged at the beast, ignoring his throbbing and pulsing head, and put as much force behind his attack as he could muster. He didn't let up, he wanted its attention. He had to get its attention just long enough so Aslyn could hide! He grunted and cursed as he pummeled the Kraken's enormous side. It was enough, it turned to face him just as another villager struck! Total Damage Done: 55

RP response: Angling himself in for a dive, Oannes's face was fixed with an expression of grim determination. If he'd had a poker face, the Kraken wouldn't have known what he was planning... As it was, it scooted out of the way, or tried to... While not as powerful a blow as he would've liked, he executed a flip that thwacked the horrible creature on its side. Granted, he was aiming for one of the giant eyes... (( 15 points of damage to the Kraken! Lost one roll; 5 rolls left (9 rolls total). ))
