Yorick smiled at Katrina before walking off with her. He stayed quiet and looked back every once and a while to see if the police were still watching. Once he felt they were far enough away to not be heard, he turned a corner to get out of the line of sight. Then he turned to face her with a crooked smile on his face, "That was a close one huh?" he said with a bit of a laugh, "I'm Yorick," he introduced before holding out a hand.

"That's okay," Yorick replied as he brought his hand back awkwardly. He thought for a moment, "Curiosity," he responded, "I heard that a person disappeared here and I wanted to go investigate. You see, I wanna try being a detective," he said with a smile as he patted his brown "detective" coat, "And judging from those cops, I'd say someone else might've disappeared too." Then he stopped dead in his tracks as he remembered that Katrina was worried about a homeless person, "Oh, um, you said your friend, Dave, was missing, sorry," he said with a sympathetic tone hoping he didn't make her upset.

Yorick lifted an eyebrow sceptically when Katrina didn't seem to feel any sadness for this Dave person. He guessed it was just something she just made up for the police just like he pretended he knew her. His eyebrows lowered a bit, he could tell she was giving him a head to toe look over. He was able to sense all kinds of emotions after all but the way she was observing him was a bit of a give away. He tried to ignore how she was studying him for a while longer and moved on to her questions, "Well, I've only got guesses. The most obvious one would be that they are kidnappings but there's no reasoning behind it and no relationships between the ones who disappear," he responded with a generic answer that most people would be able to figure out on their own with what little information was publicly available. He can't just give the girl he just met too much info. "I've been living here for a while now," he answered, "What's with all the questions? How'd you get caught up with the police?" he decided to retaliate. He didn't really like being interrogated.

In this country it's kind of frowned on unless your a member of the police to investigate things." she said evenly her voice quiet and gentle as she looked back at him. "I only got to this island more recently though kind of unnerving to find that there's some kind of monster roaming around killing people." she said quietly.

Yorick just nodded when she explained herself. Then he lifted his eyebrows curiously, "Oh, so the kidnapper is killing people," he said satisfied with her passive confirmation of some of the rumors he's heard. He was pretending that he didn't believe in monsters and the like so he assumed "monster" was her way of referring to the kidnapper. "The scene is so clean though. Do you think he might be taking the victims elsewhere before killing them? After all, there are no bodies," he questioned to see her opinion.

Yorick's eyes widened when Katrina started going on about smell of death and the kidnapper not being human. "'Smell of death'?" he stammered, "You're not making any sense. Are you saying the kidnapper isn't human? That's impossible!" He wore an expression of startled surprise, "And what do you mean, my kind?" he said in a slightly offended tone although he didn't seem to know why he should be offended. "Do you have something against guys?" he pinpointed finding that being the only difference between them.
On the other hand, Nao was doing his best to act out the part of Yorick, who was just a human kid. He had a feeling that this girl already knew what he was but wanted to wait a little while longer before he broke his cover. This girl probably wasn't human either. Interesting.

And no I don't have anything against most guys unless they are sick little perverts then there are many things to put against them. And I said what I mean, your kind. "Feh," Yorick completely dropped the surprised and confused expression, "Alright, I give," he said with slight annoyance that his cover was broken so easily. Things happen and he knew he wasn't the only inhuman thing around here. "So there's something out there killing people," he recited, "If it is some kind of monster, we'll have to start planning a way to stop it." He looked around at his surroundings a bit, "But I don't think being out in the open is the best place to do it. We don't know for sure how smart the thing is," he pointed out. And your right I don't know how safe out here will stay though from the stench it seems what ever it is either lives in the sewers or uses them to get around so as long as we find a spot away from a sewer access we should be safe from it though there is still the vampires roaming the city." she said gently. "So any ideas on where to go since you've been in this city longer then I have?"

Yorick nodded in response, "Oh alright," he could always tell her later when he was sure no one was listening. He also noticed how she dodged telling him what she was. He shifted his weight a bit, "Well, I have an apartment to myself, we can talk there if you like," he suggested. He started debating whether he should lead her in through the secret entrance or just the front. He had a little bit of trust issues so he didn't like people seeing him use the front door.
