It was a bit weird, going from killing humans one day to taking a field trip that apparently involved hugging them the next. Still, she couldn't deny she was curious - it was a rare chance, to see the human world from a non-combat perspective. At least in her mind it was.
And so she made her way through the auditorium doors, taking the proffered badge from the gnome at the door and shaking her head at his question before making her way further into the room. She didn't pay much attention to her surroundings, instead choosing to study the badge further. It was fairly pretty, she supposed, but would probably have looked better in plaid.

Herryk's entire face drooped when Taima approached. "Herryk is not hugging any humans this day." He lowered his voice. "Herryk is here for research."

He was receeding in to himself as everyoone started to file in - the hood was up on his sweater as he watched from under the fabric. Jack could have stayed that way for a while longer, until a foreign feeling made him move.
Green eyes flashed upwards whenever the snow-clothed boil found his way close to him, Jack took a moment to consider him before shrugging softly, looking out at whomeveer had shown up already. He saw King, first, and tensed up a little. Would there be another playful chase? What would the canine get him in to this time?
Clearing his throat, he gave the new boil a shrug. "DETH is a community of members whom are more interested in humans . . . amicably." He started, tapping the little insigna on his shoulder. This was the perfect place for the demon cat - no revenge needed, just honest curiousity. He wanted to knw more before he was to make any choices of his feelings towards anything. He was a thinker.
"I guess you could say DETH looks at things from outside in. Does that make sense?" He asked the cold boil, eyebrows raised. It was then that he noticed the little she-tsune standing by her lonesome. Jack physically perked up, standing at his full height again, looking down at the snowy boil. "Would you like to join me closer to the little Miss over there? She may explain it better." He offered, before taking quick steps closer to Tomoko, before leaning down a bit and putting his hooded head on top of her, cheek on hair and allowing the softest of purrs escape his throat, just loud enough for her to hear.
"Hello Tomo, come to hug the stuffing out of a few unsuspecting?" He asked her, contently. Sure she had woken him up abruptly a few hours prior, but Jack had no grudges.demon_pachabel HUGOLYMPICS. TOMO GETS GOLD.

And there he was, an easy to identify blue form among the newly arrived, slightly hunched and with his hands in his pockets as he joined Belladonna. Mort didn't want hug a human unless it involve some Death Grip action, but...He needed a break from the bloodthirsty horsemen. He had to see all sides of the issue if he wanted to truly grasp it.
Much like a certain draugr, he was here for research and pretty much nothing else.
"Hey," he murmured to the witch just as a different ghoul called to her. An old acquaintance of hers? Well Bells /had/ said she had gone out more; it was good to see more progress on that front. "You two, ah, ready for human world?"
Assuming, of course, that the initiated could pass too.

Ulmuka hadn't been out much since he'd gotten his tattoos but since his hands were now mostly healed he was eager to join the field trip. The strix had heard about humans, even before Amity, from his family and hunters and murdering hadn't ever really been a part of their tales. He knew there had to be more to this issue. He was also curious. Never not curious. Humans had always been a fascination of his and thankfully Needle had agreed to accompany him. The strix recieved his DETH badge and pinned it on his pristinely ironed lapel. He glanced back for the Engraver with him, grinning as always, and pleased to simply wait and see how this would unfold.

Nuru smiled to himself, it seemed a lot of people here were friends~ He took great delight in watching them all. Especially the one he recognized. He wasn't sure about pestering Herryk. Not yet anyway. He was having some sort of conversation and it would be rude... well... maybe he'll just move a little closer for a better view.
Nuru moved closer to Herryk.

After explaining himself to Taima, Herryk quickly scanned the rest of the crowd that gathered. Nuru. Mort. Herryk was not pleased by this. Too many familiar faces - and field trips never went as smoothly as planned. He hovered over Freya, muttering under his breath. "...hugging humans..." "...pop their heads off..." "...terrible, just terrible..."

She looked up at the wolfos and blinked large orange eyes at him for a moment. She gave him a smile, not looking down to see if his knees were tasty. " Not very new. I've been here for a while now. I just don't usually go to these functions. Last time I ended up soaking wet and people kept aiming for my jaw." Hamika rubbed her jaw instinctively. Even though it didn't hurt. " I also tend to eat knees if I'm not careful. Name's Hamika by the way!" Cheery zombie was cheery.

After everything that had recently occurred, Malodore was almost relieved to see the poster for DETH - their previous field trip had been fascinating. And it felt, in its unbeating heart, that it needed to be reminded that Hunters were not the entirety of humanity, this strange race that created and sustained them... Quietly, the plague doctor filed in. It heard the large draugr declare that he was there for research, and nodded approvingly. "Pardon me, but I couldn't help but overhear... what sorts of things are you hoping to learn? I, too, am hoping to engage in observational research of my own during this trip. My name is Malodore, by the way," it added, bowing politely.

Junko was in a surprisingly good mood. She was cheerful, excite--was that a mushroom in her hair? ...Yes, that was a mushr--annnd...that was a stick. She'd been out in the woods cooking again. She probably only saw the posters because she came back to the school to get something from her room. DETH wasn't exactly something she was very uh...suited for. She had no qualms cooking certain minipets, she would happily kill a Hunter given the chance, and she found she got a particular amount of excitement in scaring humans. If their one field trip to the human world with Professor QB said anything, Junko was very good at scaring humans. But her friends would be there, and maybe she'd find she was better suited for it than she was if she gave it a chance. Lizzy would be there, she was sure of it. After what happened to Jericho...she hadn't had a chance to be there for her Soulmate..it was one of the worst feelings in the world when you couldn't be there for someone you adored. She was going to try and fix that. She needed to keep an upbeat air about herself, to keep everyone around her happy. She could do it. She could make them happy. That's an acorn in her hair now... "Tomo-chaaaaan~!" Junko squealed excitedly when she realized the kitsune was here already, throwing her arms around her in a tight hug, pressing a kiss against her head, giving her a nuzzle and flitting off to her next victim. Li--Seiji?! Seiji! Seiji yay! Seiji~! She hurried over to him and sat down beside the boil, grinning from ear to ear. "Youuuuuu look like a grumpy gus." Junko teased, leaning in to give him a soft kiss against his cheek. "Silly boil." She looked up again to find Lizzy. There she was, sitting not too far off. Junko fell quiet then, frowning softly for just a moment before leaning in to whisper into Seiji's ear. "I'll be back in a minute."Junko stood after that, keeping her footsteps quiet as she walked up behind Lizzy. The spider ghoul would soon find herself enveloped in a warm hug from behind, complete with billowing sleeves and thick black tendrils of hair curling around her to add to the hug. Junko leaned her weight on her friend, her cheek against the top of her head and her eyes closed. It's okay, Lizzy. Junko's here. She's safe. You won't lose anyone else. Not her, not Mac, not Mot, not Shun or Mitsu or Xiu or anyone else. The hug tightened.

Herryk paused in his constant Freya-looming so that he could give Malodore some of his attention. Just some of it, though, because Freya. Enough said. "Herryk," he dipped his head towards the plague doctor in response to its introduction, lifting his eyebrows skyward as he straightened. "Herryk hopes to learn," he looked thoughtful for a moment, "all of the secrets." All of them.

Looking up from where she was sitting, Mei had been staring at the badge in her hands studying it curiously, her gaze swept to the increasing amount of students had begun to filter in. Apparently many of them felt like hugging a human. Hm. A familiar face was soon at the door and the Jiang Shi was relieved. There wasn't anyone here that she really knew too well so when she had spotted Leo wandering in a smile came to her lips. She lifted an arm, waving her hand in the air to get the Mare's attention. "Leo over here!"

Junko was easy enough to spot as she came into the auditorium, even easier when she spotted Tomo-chan. The resulting squeal of delight could have easily woken the dead, undead.. It did make him smile though, seeing her happy, goofing off with one of their friends, so by the time she made it to him to kiss his cheek he didn't look quite as grumpy as he had moments before. "Not now that you're here," he murmured to her, returning the kiss before rolling his shoulders in a little shrug, spotting Lizzy. "Go ahead, I'm not going anywhere." To emphasize the point he slouched a little further in his chair, legs crossing at the ankle. The picture of teenage comfort. Unlike Junko, Seiji wasn't especially close to the spider demon. He liked her all the same, found her to be an excellent friend to his ghoul, but they'd just not really had a lot of opportunities to bond. It's what kept him in his chair, figuring it might just be weird to go delivering comforting hugs to people her was only acquainted with. While he waited for Junko he flicked his attention back to the kitsune she'd greeted upon first entering, blackened hand raising in a wave. "Hey Tomo-chan!" Ugh, why had he locked himself up in his room for so long? So many friends he'd neglected. He was going to have to make a real effort to make it up to everyone he hadn't seen much of lately. "How've you been?" A nod of his head expanded the friendly wave to include the cat boil. He was fairly sure his name was Jack B, but couldn't recall having ever talked to him before.

Suddenly blooming with infinite patience, Belladonna waited with a smile and a partially outstretched hand for Mort to join her. Once he shuffled closer she closed the gap and wrapped her hand around his arm. Her mouth opened to sputter something bright and chipper and about how excited she was and even though maybe she didn't really care about actually touching a human, she'd do it if she need to-- When something entirely too lovely interrupted her. Belladonna blinked and turned to the voice before she gave a tiny squeak and dragged Mort over to Yaya. "Oh Yayaaaaa! You look lovely! Its been ages! How are you? How have you been? Tell me everything!" The witch gushed with a bit more bounce. Well, if she had old friends along this wouldn't be too bad! "Oh! Yaya, this is my boilfriend Mort. Mort, this is Yaya. We were friends forever ago and she's so sweet and never forgot me even though we kind of haven't talked for a while." It was silly, but Belladonna was massively overjoyed at the prospect of Yaya still being her friend. Well, after all the two had been through... Maybe it wasn't that silly after all... In any event, she rolled up onto her tip toes and beamed at two of her favorite people. No human hugging could ruin this!

Mort, that was the zomboil's name. Yaya couldn't recall having spoken to him, but she could place a name to that face, which was pretty good. She offered him a smile in greeting before Bell's squeal reclaimed her eager attention. "Far far too long, but you're looking wonderful." The demon ghoul grinned, clasping hands with the witch so she could pull her into a hug. "And a new boilfriend, too?" At this point she returned her attention to the boil beside them. "It's a pleasure, and I guess you could say I'm excited. I've never been to the human world, so I am looking forward to that at least." She didn't really want to hug any humans, frighten them, sure, but not hug.
