I seek a child of my own!Owner of Parent: CrimsonCutie666 Parent's Name: Karma Parent's Image: Image-- Owner of Child: CrimsonCutie666 Gift to Child: A scarf and handmade necklace (Sorry for the length I got carried away) RP Response: Karma was loving winter. The beauty that was snow on the ground, the colorful lights and tinsel everywhere. Everyone seemed so happy and joyful and she felt warm inside from it all. Even her mothers somewhat crude behavior wasn't effecting her like it normally would. She had just gotten done shopping and getting things for her family for christmas. Some chemicals for her grandpa, a fancy mirror for mother, fairytale book for Aunt Ellia some gardening books for her father, a coat for brother, and of course her favorite was the handcrafted scarf for daddy Pyth. The craft store she had stopped at last had been amazing. All the little things that could be created! She had spent most of her days there the last week, crafting the scarf to give to Pyth, hoping beyond hope he'd like it. Though it wouldn't have taken so long if she hadn't gotten distracted by the beautiful beads and wires that the jewelry making section had. Within a day she had put together a necklace of bronze wire with red, orange and brown beads. She hadn't stopped wearing it since. A small breeze picked up and Karma shivered under her scarf. A chill sent its way down her spine and she picked up the pace, checking the sky before deciding to take the short cut home. After passing the bakery, which smelled delicious, she took a turn down a small alleyway that was rather nice compared to it's cousins. It was clean, and rather well lit with the bakery lining one side and a clothing store on the other. It wasn't well known but Karma had been down this way enough times with her mother to know that no harm would come to her here. As the wind died down between the buildings she breathed a sigh of relief, thankful for the small bit of warmth among the cold. Her fungus raised itself from it's semi-hibernation and glowed slightly, swinging to her left before dropping back to sleep behind her, an odd motion that hardly ever happened lately. Turning her attention that way she gasped and frowned heavily as she spotted an almost dead looking kit, huddled desperately against the side door of the bakery. Feeling dread at the prospect of the kit actually having died she carefully came closer, touching a paw to it's too skinny body and relaxing only slightly when she felt it rise. Dropping her bags she hesitated slightly before scooping up the little one and holding her close. With one paw keeping her in place she used the other to clumsily remove her scarf and wrap it around the little ones body, keeping her closer to warm her. Finally she stumbled to the door, knocking loudly and flinching slightly when the girl stirred against her. An assistant baker answered, looking confused. "What ya want? You know the front door is over there right?" Blushing at this she took a deep breath and nodded, trying to stick up for herself for once. "Yes, I'm sorry but you see this little girl was back here and I was wondering if you knew who she belonged to?" Eying the sleeping one he nodded grimly. "Ah yeah that's the orphan girl. She's been hanging around here lately, I've caught her eating out of our garbage a few times. Old ladies been giving her a treat everyday to hopefully feed her but it ain't enough. We called the orphanage but every time they come by to get her she runs away. Quick little one she is. Guess the cold and hunger finally got to her." Frowning sadly down at the little one Karma held her closer, realizing how much danger even another second in the cold might be. "Would you do me a favor then? I can't carry her home and all the gifts I bought.......would you keep them here for me? I'm very sorry about this really so very very sorry but I promise I'll buy something when I come pick it up."
He nodded smiling slightly as he came out and grabbed the bags. "You better be coming back for these, otherwise I'll wrap and gift them myself. Take care of her will ya? I know you may not realize yet but you're going to raise her, I can tell. Bring her by now and again so the old woman can see her, she'll be so happy to know she finally found a home." Blushing harder Karma merely took off toward the house, clutching her child to her chest. She knew she wanted to keep and care for the little one. So small and precious she reminded her of when she was a kit. Upon entering the house and rushing to her room Karma wrapped the girl in a large fuzzy blanket, was currently having her grandpa make some tea, and her aunt some soup. Her mother sat in the corner watching with exasperation. "You're still just a kit. Are you really going to raise her all by yourself?" Smiling tenderly down at the stirring kit Karma nodded and carefully caressed the little one's face. "Yes. I am. If she wants I mean." Eyes opened and stared into hers and she felt a tremble of nervousness. What if she didn't want her as a mother? What if she wasn't good enough? "I umm well hi there." Stumbling out her greeting Karma waited hopeful for any kind of greeting in return. The kit just stared at her, flicking her gaze to Luc still in the corner, before returning her gaze to her rescuer. "You're the one that held me........" Nodding Karma dared not say anything more, the voice that had spoken had been so weak! Oh the poor thing...... "I........no one's ever done that for me before......." She stared in wonder up at the green girl before glancing down. "No one has ever been so nice.......if I thought they were going to I was cruel and nasty. I........I never wanted to get close enough to someone who would leave like mommy and daddy." Sniffing she started crying, weak little sobs racked her body and she turned pleading eyes on Karma. "You aren't going to leave like they are right? I don't want you to leave, you're the only one who's ever been nice to me." She sobbed and wailed and Karma hurriedly sat beside her holding her close and rubbing her affectionately. "No.I will remain by your side. You will be cherished and loved with all my heart, and you will have all I can give......." Glancing around the room quickly at her family who had assembled back in the room she got an idea and easily slipped the necklace off her neck. "And to prove it you'll have my newest treasure, a necklace that was made with all my love and the scarf you have on you now knitted with all my care." Placing the trinket around the other she frowned to see how big it was around the other, but she stopped her worrying when big awed eyes were watching her. "................Can I call you mommy?" She smiled her most loving smile and knew there would be few moments she could ever be happier. "Yes you can daughter."

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: ChezaRain Parent's Name: Sanura Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: ChezaRain Gift to Child: Zebra-print footie pajamas and a plush zebra. RP Response:Pale grey eyes looked up at the building with fear, sending a shiver down the femme's back. She could recall her own days of abandonment, left with no one to talk to and no family to call her own. It was the reason that she came now, her gift wrapped up with a ribbon and in shaky paws. It was darkening out when she finally decided to enter the Orphanage, unable to bring herself through the giant doors a moment sooner due to her irrational fear of being stuck inside. No sooner was she inside, however, the warmth that radiated in the main hall was so surprising, she shed her winter wear and headed further inside. Most of the children had gone to bed by now, and Sanura had to quickly apologize to the woman in charge, face flushed of color at the thought of not seeing the child open her gifts. It was then that she spotted her; a tiny little kit curled next to the christmas tree. She glanced around and saw she had been the only one to stay downstairs, and a lump formed in her throat as she walked over, the crinkling of wrapping paper rousing the young kit. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, only to quickly widen them at the sight of Sanura, straightening herself up. "Why are you down here?" Sanura asked, her head tilting to the side curiously. The kit blinked and looked around, a faint color coming to her cheeks, "I was waiting for Santa..." The soft tinkling that was the kit's voice was too adorable for Sanura to handle, and she put the gift on the floor. "Why are you alone, I mean?"The kit sighed, her gaze shifting to the gift in only a passing curiosity before she spoke again, "No one believes he's real, but I know he IS!" The last outburst caught the older noodle off-guard and she went wide-eyed, only to see the kit notice her own outburst and quickly shrink back, murmuring apologizes. Sanura laughed and patted the kit on the head, her expression warm, "Of course Santa is real! He wanted me to bring this to you." She shoved the present towards the kit, watching as her face lit up like the very tree they stood next to. As the kit unwrapped the gift very carefully, almost afraid to break the items inside, Sanura had made up her mind on something very important. The kit was squealing and snuggling into her soft plush, but an attempt to squash herself into the pajamas ended horribly awry, and Sanura quickly stepped in to help her out. "Santa also wanted to know where you lived." Sanura purred, a gentle smile crossing her face as she pulled the zipper shut. The kit stared up at the older female, not sure what she meant, "But... I'm right here." Her voice, as soft as it was, held no luster as she brought up the Orphanage, gesturing with her paws. Sanura shook her head, squashing the little kit's cheeks with her paws, "From now on, how about you come live with me inst-!?" Before she had the chance to finish, the kit was squealing and racing around, ending her charade with a leap into Sanura's outstretched arms and cuddling against her chest, "YESYESYESYESYES!~" She purred enthusiastically and snuggled into Sanura as much as possible, her little paws clinging to her new plushie and the older femme as if they might disappear at any minute. Sanura quickly scooped her up and smiled, flicking her gaze to the stuffed zebra, "So, what's his name gonna be?"The kit looked to her little toy and smiled, kissing it on the nose, "Maybe Paul. Paul is a good name."Sanura couldn't stop smiling.

I seek a child of my own!Owner of Parent: icy serenade Parent's Name: Halalu Parent's Image: Image-- Owner of Child: icy serenade Gift to Child: A stuffed toy bird and a warm, soft scarf RP Response: One night after watching a family friend's little kits, the goddess found herself wandering through some of little shops. The Christmas decorations were so wonderful and pulled her in so that it couldn't be helped. She had decided that she would pick up a few Christmas presents for the little ones she enjoyed watching so very much, a small ache tugged at her heart. As she looked through toys and clothes and other little things all she could think of was wanting a little someone to have, hold, and take care of that was her very own. She adored Kaid, but it would be a long time before they could even be together.. he just didn't understand her feelings. With a slightly heavy heart she paid for the gifts she had picked out.. having grabbed up a couple extras just because she had this feeling of needing to, had them wrapped, then went on her way home with the bag of presents slung over her back. As she walked through the chilly night, smiling slightly as she knew her father's touch was in it, she found herself stumbling upon an orphanage. The goddess blinked up at the building, surprised that she had never came upon this place before. "Maybe I'm lost... wouldn't be the first time." she laughed to herself, going to step off to find her way home, but found her heart tugging at her once again as a little pair of eyes stared at her from behind a window. The goddess sat down, staring back at the little one peering out at her, wanting nothing more but to hold them. Eyes glistened as she hopped up, rushing to the door, and cracking it open. "Excuse me.. is anyone here?" A tiny voice peeped up from around the corner, coming from the direction the little one had been. "I'm.. here" the voice said softly, a little head peeking from around the edge of the corner. Halalu gave a small gasp, the eyes of the little shy one making her heart melt. Stepping towards the little one, all smiles. "Hello there. I'm Halalu. What's your name?" Her smile bright as she inched closer, her want to just scoop up the little darling nagging her to death. With a squeak the little one hid back behind the corner, not use to seeing someone so big. Ears perked as the soft voice reached them, making the little guy peer out again. "M-m-my name.. is... R-rugby" he stammered out, stepping out slowly, eyes to the floor. Eyes soft as they looked over the little boy, just wanting to hold him.. heart aching for it. "Hello Rugby. That's such an adorable name." Gasping quietly, shifting her wings and pulling the bag on her back around, digging through it, pulling out a couple untagged, oddly-shaped wrapped packages setting them down on the floor before slipping the bag back, now realizing why she had wanted to pick up more presents. "Would you like these? You can have them if you want." Her smile soft and warm as she looked at the kit, hopeful he'd accept. The kit shrunk back slowly, nervous as anything, and not sure what to think of the presents as she laid them out before him. No one had ever seemed interested in him before, nor had he really been offered something like a present. Nervously he scooted towards them, watching her as he did, leaning in to pick them up, the packages squishing in his arms. "Th-thank you... Miss... Halalu." Watching him made her sad, her heart aching once again. Her smile never fading, especially since he decided to accept the presents. She couldn't help but give a small laugh. "That's what the kids I babysit call me most of the time. You can just call me Halalu." She hoped he would. "H-h-ha-lalu" he said softly, looking down at the floor with a smile as he held to the presents in his arms. Blinking, the goddess then reached out to him, hoping he'd let her hold him. Shrinking back again, setting the gifts down, an unsure look on his face for just a moment. Peering back up to her he then slowly came over, holding his own arms out to her. With a squeak the goddess scooped the little guy up, holding him gently to her. Tears stung at her eyes as she held his tiny frame close, whispering to him softly. "What do you think about seeing if you can come home with me?" She knew it was so sudden, but holding this little guy just felt so right. Ears flicking back the little kit gave his own squeak, though one of surprise as she scooped him up and held him close. He let his arms drape over, nuzzling his head into her neck, nodding slightly. With the tears stinging in her eyes, falling down her cheek, she stands on her hind legs, leaning down to grab up the small gifts from the floor. Holding him tightly she wandered to find the office, hoping and praying in her head that they could be together.

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: Revel1984 Parent's Name: Blizzard Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: Juridian Soul Gift to Child: A snowglobe with a pair of deer inside it and a thick fluffy blanket. RP Response: At first it was something she had been urged into doing by her friend Ranna, the blind Noodle had encouraged her to go, despite her insistence that she did NOT like children. The first visit had been a very cold and formal one, greeting each child, doing the expected thing of reading to them and such, with Ranna by her side. The second time, she surprised herself by remembering some of their names and actually smiled at them. By the time the holidays came around Blizzard was going to see the orphans every other day, with or without Ranna. She'd learned that she enjoyed being around children, she loved bringing a smile to their faces with a well told story (with voices matching the characters too) or a simple game of hide and seek. She noticed that one in particular seemed eager to see her, more upset whenever she left and it broke her heart to keep leave behind the sweet child with the happy face for her. She visited once more with gifts of thick blankets for all of the children but for 'hers' she brought an extra gift, something that had been given to her by her parents. She gave the globe to the child and while it was fascinated with it, she went to the Orphange owners "I want to adopt, where do i start?"

I seek a child of my own!Owner of Parent: [X]Natty-Chan[X] Parent's Name: Yllivette Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: [X]Natty-Chan[X]
Gift to Child: Teddy bear baby RP Response: The small female figured it was now or never. Yllivette longed for children of her own, but she was quite confident she will never have any of her own for her appearance would scare away any possible mates away. It was the same reason that she stood outside of the location with the kits, what seemed like, hours. She was worried that the kits would be scared of her as well.
She surely hoped so as she took in a breath and looked to the object she carried in her mouth. The fox had to be sure to wrap it in something, lest the ink that dribbled from the skull over her head get onto it. She placed it down for a moment, inspecting the package lightly. She frowned slightly at the ink blots on it, but just hoped it added to the wrapping as she picked it up again.
Walking to the door, she slowly pushed it open, tentatively peeking her head inside. "H-H-Hello?" Her soft voice escaped like a whisper. As she walked through the door, her ears flattened at all the other Noodles and families hoping to adopt the available kits. So many there that were more deserving than her for a kit, she began to worry more, that she won't get a kit herself.
Making her way further into the building, a small grin formed on her face at all the kits about. When she got to a good spot, she placed the gift down and gently called out, "L-Little Kits... I have a gift for you."
Like she had feared, some of the kits took one look at her and ran off, some to other families. Others didn't run, but they sure didn't come to her either. Her ears flattened more, quite prepared to just leave the toy behind and go home. Sighing softly, she turned to leave. But just as she took her first step, something caught her attention. "Excuse me... Miss?" Turning her head, she looked down to see the little kit. This made her heart beat a little faster. Someone, not afraid of her? This couldn't be true. "Y-yes Little one?" She answered.
The kit looked up to her, with very little fear or hesitation. "Miss... what's in the present?" He asked, looking to her with big, eager eyes.
"Oh... well... why don't you answer it? I don't want to get it dirty." She replied to him with a small smile.
Without any hesitation, the kit ripped into the paper wrapping, exposing the small brown teddy bear with a pink diaper and a little teddy 'hoodie'. She held her breath at the gift, knowing it was a little feminine for the boy that opened it. He looked at it for awhile, circling around it. The silence worried Yllivette and she was about to say something when the kit finally looked to her, smiling. "It's great. Does this mean we're a family now?"
Her eyes widened a bit at the question, but smiled. "Only if you would like us to be." With that, the kit squealed and wrapped his paws around her front leg, nuzzling it gently. Lowering her head down, she softly nuzzled it, being careful not to drip any ink on him.

We're adding to our family! Owner of First Parent: Kitsu_is_EPIC_FAIL First Parent's Name: Lector First Parent's Image: Lector -- Owner of Second Parent: anasazi_lemur_babe Second Parent's Name: Lative Second Parent's Image: Lative -- Owner of Child: Tanukyle (Gifting) Gift to Child: Red silk scarf with white dots and red/white tassles RP Response: It was cold outside and the cannibalistic noodle hated it. But Lative and he had walked by this establishment many a time and not dared to go in - now was finally the time. For good or ill, they would give one of the little kits a gift. After much deliberation, it was decided that a shrunken head would not be a good present, however much the male wished it to be so. But the one they had with them was useful and he had to admit that. He stared at the door for a moment, and then looked back at his mate. "Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, we aren't exactly on the cover of Parents Weekly or anything..."Lative had her fur fluffed against the cold, although unlike her mate she enjoyed the colder months. She blinked over at him as he spoke before placeing the package she carried in her mouth gently next to her paws. "Don't worry dear, you have to remember that we did manage to raise five kits to adulthood." Her voice was soft as she spook, her eyes returning to stare at the building they had stopped at. Lector didn't understand her need to nurture and raise young ones. Now that her latest batch of kits were all grown up she could feel the longing for another. "We were fine parents." She added with a frim nod of her head before picking the item up and heading into the building.Lector followed his mate inside, looking around and shaking off a bit of snow at the door. At least the place was warm. "So how do we choose? I mean, if they're here, they're all equally deserving, right?" He asked, scanning the little hopeful eyes that peeked back at them. "We could just pick the one who's the sickliest or who's been here the longest, I suppose. I mean..." He trailed, unsure just what he meant. This adopting children was a strange subject for him.The female noodle flipped her ears forward and rolled her eyes at her mate. She stopped again and put the package down once more. "It's not about choosing, Lector. It's about knowing...you want to help all of these kits but you'll know the one that needs you the most." She explained as she looked around at all the little ones. "If we could take them all home...we would." Her eyes stopped on a little kit curled into a sleeping ball against a wall. Unlike the others, this one seemed to want to nap more than it wanted to see potiental parents. "Lector, look." She lifted a paw and pointed at the sleeping Kit.A sharp intake of breath met the sight of the kit. "Thats... That needs to not be so cute." He said, and tilted his head. "Well, it's breathing, so it's not dead...." He took a sniff of it's fur and sat back. "No disease - or at least nothing that wouldn't make it tasty if it were older." He trailed and looked back at his mate, looking guilty. "Sorry - I'm so used to looking at people as edible or not. But... Do you think?"All the purple and orange female could do was smile down at the still sleeping kit. Her ears twitched as her mate spoke but she missed most of what he was saying. "Of course it's not dead my love, mearly sleeping sweetly." She leaned down and nosed an ear softly before moving the package she had been carrying toward the sleeping child. "This is the one, Lector. I don't think I can deny that I think this kit would make a wonderful addition to our family." She responded before straightening, looking down at the sleeping kit and the wrapped gift she had placed up under it's paw. "Merry Christmas little one."

I seek a child of my own!Owner of Parent: Milady Emerald Parent's Name: Sidonie Parent's Image:sidonie-- Owner of Child: Milady Emerald Gift to Child: The Grimm's Fairy Tales Volume One and Two RP Response: Sidonie went to put her paw upon the first snow covered step of the orphanage and froze. "Alastair I'm worried..." she said as her voice trailed off in concern. Her familiar twined about her neck and hissed softly in reassurance. What if the kits don't like me? What if the kits think reading isn't cool.*She sighs gustily closing her eyes and is caught off guard by a tail whap to the head. startling a squeak out of her* Peassse Sssssidonie. You have thought about thisssss. We have thought about thissssss. You have wanted thisssss for many moonssss. Be easssssy girl. *She nodded* You are right. This is just to test the waters, I mean, the only experience I've had with Kits was helping raise Amethyst, and well she's a wild one If I can handle her, how hard can the others be? Her courage affirmed she determinedly sets her paw down upon the top step and begins to climb, pushing open the heavy door and heading for the office. Meeting the secretary, who thanked her for being early for her appointment she was ushered into the children's play room. Being bade to curl up on a cushion in the center of the suddenly silent room she took her seat stiffly and cleared her throat. She looked round the room her eyes growing wide as she saw all the adorable kits sitting about her, all feeling much like she was-scared, nervous, alone. As the seconds ticked on Alastair decided to step up. Twining about her neck he raised up so he could be seen between her ears. Several gasps were heard throughout the orphanage as what had been assumed to be a scarf stood up (relatively speaking) and addressed them Greetingsssss Kitssss…… Thisssss isssss Sssssidonie…..and I am Alasssstair. We are here to Read to you thisssss day…… In an aside to sidonie, hissed low so only she could hear he bade her to pull out the book. Reaching behind her she slipped a large careful tended, yet nonetheless lovingly worn book from the bag and taking solace in the comfort of the written word she read the title. "Children and Household Tales"… More commonly known today as the Grimm's Fairy tales……Volume One……. Sidonie began to read, her voice soft and sonorous, and before she knew it she found she was reading in voices just like she'd done for amethyst as a kit. And now, like then, the kits sat spellbound listening to the melodious voice. laughing and oohing and ahhing as was appropriate as she read to them the tale of Rapunzel and her long lovely golden hair. There was applause and cheers as the story wound to a close. All the kits immediately began to beg for another story. One of the workers who had been waiting quietly by the door said in a firm but kindly voice. " Snack Time Kits!" And to that they all rushed out, thanking the "lovely lady" for the story. Sidonie sat somewhat dumbfounded that she'd managed to hold that many kits enthralled, but then again the written word was quite powerful. "Excuse me Ma'am" A soft quiet voice from the ground seemed to address her. Surprised, as she'd thought all the kits had left she looked down to find she was not alone. Sorry to bother you, but, Please, won't you read another story…..it was so wonderful! I'd gladly miss my snack to have you read to me again! Sidonie's heart melted. She couldn't resist the sweet kits plea. I'll tell you what, I don't have time today to read to you *she watched as the kits face fell* BUT what I will do is this....*she reached around and pulled a second book from her backpack, setting it down under the first book, and turning the bindings so that they could be read* I will leave these with you, Consider....well...consider them an early Christmas gift. This way you can read as many stories to yourself as you want. These are books I got as a kit, I've read them many times. So they are very special books to me. And by giving them to you.....well....it means you are very special to me too! *The kits eyes shone with happiness as Sidonie nosed the books over closer to the Kit* You see, I was adopted as a young kit too, but I didn't get to see my family really at all....we all just....drifted apart. I was so lonely until I got Alastair that i would bury myself in the written word every day, and I read all the fairy tales I could find, loving the escape they granted me. My new owner was kind and sweet, but I was lonely......I still am. I have a younger "sister" that I've raised, and another friend that lives with me, but its not the same as having a family, but in some ways its better. Because they are the family I chose. So fairy tales don't always come true, but sometimes life can come close..... ......Now, I believe I have some bussiness to see to.....But I promise you this....I will be back! "Oh thank you so much pretty Lady, I will take such good care of these books, and i'll read them every day!" *Sidonie couldn't help but smile feeling her heart warm. Even Alistair was moved by the sweet simple enjoyment the kit showed for life. Leaning up into her ear he hissed "To the offissssse." to which Sidonie nodded. Good bye for now Sweets *with that she turned and headed for the office, in an uncharacteristicly bold move she was going to start the process of adoption. She didn't want the sweet little kit to be alone on Christmas either.

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: Kitsu_is_EPIC_FAIL Parent's Name: Fracta Parent's Image: Fracta -- Owner of Child: Kitsu_is_EPIC_FAIL Gift to Child: A silver locket - a treasured item from her past. RP Response: The holidays were sheer hell for the cold eyed fem. All around here there was merry making in which she could not participate. She didn't, no - COULDN'T feel a thing, and so the sight of these others all enjoying themselves... somewhere deep down it irked her. But there was a place that she might go - a place where all of the occupants were miserable and where she might not be so left out. Not that she felt that way, but there was a sense of being alone, as though she didn't belong. Ice blue eyes met the wooden door of the place, with a sign that she couldn't read. Since her death as a child, she'd never learned - she hadn't cared to. But now, when it was important... But it didn't matter. She padded her way inside, looking around at all the kits who froze when she came to the middle of the room. The chill of winter came with her - a constant companion. "I don't know what I expected. You're all the same as those people out there. You're scared of me. I feel nothing for you. I can't imagine what could have changed." But one of the kits was brave enough to approach her. A fond nuzzle sent the ice hearted fem whirling, a snap and a snarl on the heels of that first reaction. But the kit wasn't scared. "That necklace - it's pretty. Where'd you get it, Lady?" it asked, little eyes twinkling. There was an innocence about it that caused even Fracta's eyes to soften a bit, "From someone I... I can't remember. But it was fond. Would you like it - it's only a broken memory now." She replied, and lowered her head, shaking off the necklace at the other Noodles feet. "Only if you don't want it any more. A broken memory is still a memory... But... Thank you. Happy Christmas!" The kit replied, first contemplative, then cheerful as the older noodle nodded, a little of the ice around her heart melting. "I... You should come with me when I leave." She said simply and began to walk away, hoping that the kit would follow.

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: Bandia dar data or Parent's Name: Glasere Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: Bandia dar data or Gift to Child: A talisman made of the ice from her homeland high up in the mountains and a glimmering, pure seed from the tree upon her back. RP Response:How long had it been since she had left her beloved birth home behind? A year or more? She wasn't certain. All Glasere knew was that it felt as though it had been a lifetime since she had turned her back on the chilled protection of her mountain home. She had bid her tribe fairwell and even gave thanks to the snow tigers for their gifts to her and her people. Now, as she walked in these strange lands she couldn't help but to feel an overwhelming loneliness. She had left everything behind and found nothing as she had hoped she would. Her head was down and her feet led the way through the darkness, always in darkness. The sun irritated her icy skin so she had to remain out of it, she had found that traveling at night was the safest way to accomplish this.
Her head lifted suddenly as a sound, soft as the cooing of a dove, reached her ears. She couldn't quite tell what it was but something within her told her she needed to go forth and seek out the source of the noise. Her pace quickened as did the beating in her heart as she came upon what looked to be a small, crumpled up heap of something. Stepping closer she found herself shocked in the realization that it was a kit, all by itself, and shivering in the cool air of the night.
"Young one, what are you doing out here and so by yourself?"
Her voice was quiet and soft but she still managed to startle the poor little thing. It wasn't her speaking though and she knew it, it was the way she looked. Her fangs often had others thinking she was a predator and she couldn't help but wince as the kit scooted away from her with a muffled yip of fear.
"Tremble not little one, I mean you no injury."
She cooed again, and this time she illicited a response. The kit lifted it's head to her but said nothing, it's eyes just little slits at the moment. She could tell it was cold by the way it was curled in on itself and she detected it's breath vaporlike in the air. Angling herself so she may extend her bushy tail to it without frightening the poor thing she offered her own warmth.
At first the kit seemed to be fiesty, batting her tail away with it's tiny paw and creeping further away, but after a moment it seemed to change it's mind and curl itself into her tail.
"There there," she cooed "isn't that better?"
The kit gave a curt nod and allowed for her to pull it a little closer to her center of mass as she lay down beside it. She wanted horribly to ask it's name but felt that it would take time to befriend this one. They were both alone, somehow she just knew that. No parent would leave their kit unattended like this, and surely if it was lost she would hear some sort of call ringing out through the night.
"You are a brave one." She said gently, the kit's ears wiggling in response.
"My people always gave a special talisman to those who were as brave as you." She smiled fondly at the memory.
As though remembering something she conjured the frosty wind that normally swirled around her and allowed each tiny ice particle to come together and form a talisman much like the one her people would present. Taking it gently in her mouth upon completion she set it down in front of the kit and said nothing more. When next she looked at the little one she noticed it had pulled the talisman closer to it and was actually snuggling it in a while, also cuddling closer to her belly for warmth. It was sleeping peacefully, looking up at the sky above her Glasere said a silent prayer of thanks to her gods for the company she had been given. At the conclusion of her prayer she noticed the tree on her back had dropped a single glistening white seed. With a warm smile she moved it next to the kit and nodded in understanding. She would not let this one wander alone, and she would no longer wander alone.

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: Of The Epidemic Parent's Name: Kirsch Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: Of The Epidemic Gift to Child: A warm scarf, a plush duck, and a plate full of cookies. RP Response: There was a chill bite in the air, one couldn't tell it but it was only a little past noon. The sky was clouded with dark clouds that dropped buckets of snow down on the unsuspecting town. No one had really been ready for the sudden snowstorm and it caused quite a fuss among many. Kirsch, however, hadn't seen it as a problem, and had simply walked out into it without a fuss. She had a special mission in mind and she felt it was about time she went through with it; enough of her sitting around on her paws. She would give some little one a special home and finally put all those things she had bought for a small one to good use. Kirsch sat outside the orphanage looking at the large doors and shaking her head. She and Candi had wanted children, had decided to try for children just before Candi got sick and was taken. She shook her head. She was lonely, exceedingly so. She missed the feeling of having someone in the house with her. She wanted a child, she wanted someone to care for and to fulfill the dream she had had with Candi. Before Candi had been taken they had bought quite a few things to get ready for their own children. Kirsch had been unable to throw them away even after Candi had been taken, and thus they sat alone in what would have been the babies room gathering dust. It was time to fix that. She glanced back up at the orphanage walls before going back to pacing. What if none of them liked her? What if they were all afraid of her and couldn't stand to be around her? She wouldn't force a child to be around her if they didn't wish to. It was painful to think about. She would never give herself over to another, so this was her only chance to have a child all her own. Her tail lashed back and forth as she paced, the gifts tucked safely in a bag at her side. Eventually, as the biting cold became a bit too much, she walked away from the doors. She would just have to wait till tomorrow, she couldn't do it today. She felt sick with herself, she was so busy worrying that the small ones wouldn't like her that she couldn't face them. Who would want to have only one parent anyway? She shook her head, her ears drooping and her tail dragging the ground as she made her way through the snow. She wasn't paying much attention to the world around her and was simply walking through the desolate streets. After about an hour of endlessly walking she stopped, her sharp ears catching the sound of something chattering and the occasional sneeze. She lifted her head up fully to look around, her sharp ears twisting this way and that to catch the sounds around her. There it was again, the soft sneeze and the chattering of teeth... was someone out here with her? Did they not see that it was snowing... they should be inside! She looked around and slowly her eyes landed on a mass of fur almost completely covered up by the snow. She stepped forward and just barely missed stepping on a little kits tail. "Oh my!" She exclaimed, getting down to grasp the small kit and pull it from the snow drift. "Are you alright?" She asked pulling it against her chest and cuddling it close. "You must be freezing." She said digging in her bag and pulling out a blanket she had brought to wrap the small one up in. "There now." She said, watching as the little one's eyes fell closed and it slipped off. She felt fear grip her heart, the tiny one was awfully cold... what if... no. She started off towards the hospital at quite a speedy pace, determined as she was to find this small one some medical attention. She hated hospitals, she loathed them for taking her Candi away, however this one needed medical attention, so she sucked it up and pushed past her hate and fear. Slowly she entered the hospital and walked to the front counter. She explained in a hurried way that she had found the kit, wrapped it up and didn't know what was wrong. There was a hustle and jumble as the kit was taken to the back. She felt a pang in her chest as she watched those cold white doors close, locking behind them someone else. The nurse assured her they would take grand care of the kit and return it to the family it belonged with. She sat outside the hospital for a little while before eventually starting home. She asked that the nurse call her and tell her how the kit was doing later. Kirsch wasn't sure if the femme would remember, but she at least tried. She made her way home in a rather depressed state. She didn't bother cooking herself dinner and simply passed out. For two days she waited for a call that never came. On the third day she pushed herself to get up and go back to the orphanage. While meeting the kit had caused memories of Candi to flood her mind it also caused her a deep longing to have one to call her own. So she set back out, and this time she wasn't going to back away. She stood in the doorway to where all the kits were playing. She was surprised to see how many didn't have homes, it came as a great shock to her and she felt a pang in her chest. The receptionist had encouraged her to go in and talk with them, let the ones that were interested come to her. Kirsch had agreed and now she sat in the doorway, watching them all play. None of them seemed very interested in her and she didn't mind that too much, though it did make her feel a bit inept. She was just about to give up and leave when a rather familiar looking blanket walked towards her. It was walking towards the doorway she was sitting in from down the hallway. She couldn't see what was under the blanket, just the blanket itself, which looked alarmingly like the one she had wrapped around the frozen kit and then left with it. She simply watched as four little paws walked towards her, it looked rather darling, all things considered, the blanket dragging the grown. "Pardon me." A small, yet soft voice came from under the blanket as it came nose to tummy with Kirsch. "Oh, of course... I'm sorry... do you mind if I ask where you obtained that blanket?" Kirsch asked softly, not daring to hope that this was one and the same little one. "... You... you sound familiar." Said the tiny voice and a little nose poked its way out from under the blanket followed by a small snout and eventually eyes. "... You!" The little one exclaimed. "You came for me!" The tiny one wrapped its paws around Kirsch's arm the blanket falling over it's face again. "... How? What? Were you the one in the snow?!" Kirsch asked in amazement, looking down at the little paws. "I was! You saved me! I knew you would come back for me. I just knew it. A very kind nurse at the hospital explained what happened when I woke up. She told me everything and I made her explain to me just what you looked like so I would know." The little blanket was prattling on endlessly about all of this in a rather excited yet soft tone. "Will you be my mommy?" The little voice asked, still clinging to Kirsch's leg. Kirsch felt tears in her eyes as she reached out a paw to stroke the little head under the blanket. "I will certainly try." She said quietly. "I will most certainly try."

We're adding to our family! Owner of First Parent: PidgeonsGoMeowX3 First Parent's Name: Seth First Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Second Parent: PidgeonsGoMeowX3 Second Parent's Name: Shayden Second Parent's Image: Image -- Owner of Child: PidgeonsGoMeowX3
Gift to Child: A bouquet of Gerber daisies and a set of gold and silver jingle bell jewelry. RP Response:
It was ten o'clock and the streets were almost devoid of life. Most of the trinket shops had closed, some coffee shops too, and thus the area was quiet, except for a pair of Noodle Foxes chatting as they walked down the sidewalk."Wasn't that cake fantastic, Shayden?" Seth said, nudging his partner in a playful manner. "I wish we could have brought some home for Kaiel and Sebastian, though..."Shayden nodded along as Seth spoke, his mind clearly onto some other thought or topic. The party they had been at had been tiring for him. From the loud rock music to the broken glass bottles on the ground, the poor nervous noodle couldn't find a decent place to relax. But, even if he was tired from it all, he loved his partner and listened intently to his every word.Whiiiiine. Whiiiineee..."What was that?" Both noodles squeaked. It was a high pitched noise that had come from seemingly nowhere. However, it didn't become persistent and thus, wasn't much cause for alarm so they continued on their way.Whiiiiiineee. Whiiiiineee. Neeeeee! This time the noise sounded urgent and panicked, like a call for help. Seth, who had a hunch that there was something wrong, raced back to the alley way where he had heard the noise the first time.
With ears on full alert and his eyes peering into every corner, Seth surveyed the alleyway as if he were involved in a murder mystery. Then, he saw something move from underneath some discarded paper and in a snap, he was digging through the mess. And what he found underneath the paper made his heart sink to the floor. It was a very neglected little kit."SHAYDEN!" He hollered, his eyes tearing up. "I NEED YOUR HELP HERE!"Although terrified, Shayden rushed right to Seth's side and gasped at what Seth had found."Oh, the poor little girl!" He exclaimed. "What should we do, Seth?""There's only one thing to do." Seth replied. He knelt down to the ground and hoisted the kit upon his back. "We're going to take her back home and take care of her. Then we'll figure out if she's got a home or a place to be..."-------------------------------"Is she awake yet?""Not yet, Kaiel.""I still can't believe it. Where did you find her again, dad?""In an alleyway by the restaurant where we were attending a party. If we didn't hear her whining, she would've frozen there all night.""Ouch. Poor kid. I hope she wakes up soon. She could use more than just a bite to eat judging by the way her ribs are, ya know, noticeable...""Speaking of that, Seb, could you go out and buy some cans of soup?""Sure, dad. Anything else?""Yeah. Could you pick up a warm looking blanket from the knitting shop on the corner. All our blankets a filthy.""M'kay. Be back soon."..."I sure hope she''ll make it. She hasn't moved yet.""I know Seth, I know.""AUGH! No child should have to live like this! EVER! It drives me mad to see that people could just walk by this poor innocent little girl and not see that she needs help! I MEAN GOD! IT DOESN'T TAKE A GENIUS TO SEE THAT SHE NEEDS HELP! AUGH! THIS WORLD IS SO- Hey, her eyes are open!""Nnnnn?""Uh, er. Hi! We got you out of the alley! What's your name?""Naaaa...Naaaaaa...""Nana? Is your name Nana?""Naaaa...Naaataliiie...""Oh, Natalie! Well, uh...Hey! We're over here! No no, this way...""Shayden, she's blind. Her eyes are all messed up.""Ehhhnnn...""Oh, no. Hey, Natalie? Natalie! NATALIE?!""Natalie, please stay with us! Natalie!""Seth, call 911! She's completely unresponsive!""Already dialing! Hello? Yes, I have a female kit here by the name of Natalie...""Don't worry, Natalie. You'll be just fine. We're gonna make sure they take care of you. We promise!"Thank you... Thank you for ...Thank you for caring... About... Me...------------------------------------
The hospital waiting area may have been decorated with lights, but for the four noodles huddled together by a corner, it was just as dismal as the poorest part of town. Even Kaiel, the one that always had a smile, wasn't able to see a ray of sunshine. He had decided to snuggle up to Sebastian, who was looking just as sad as he was, and try to rest while Seth paced the room and Shayden attempted to find a free nurse to speak with.
A long, agonizing wait was almost assured during any sort of hospital visit. But it had been almost twelve hours since they had rushed the semi-conscious Natalie into the ER, and it had been a heart pounding, soul crushing wait so far.
How much longer would it be until they could see her? Was she even breathing? Did they even help her out in the least? Or was their help far too late? The questions and emotions swirled around their heads until one of them could no longer hold onto their feelings."AUGH!" Seth cried, biting down on his lower lip to keep from screaming profanities. Muttered grunts escaped his mouth as he trudged his way to where Sebastian and Kaiel were seated. He curled up in a very frustrated manner and heaved an immense sigh as tears rolled down his cheeks. "Will we ever know about Natalie's condition?" He muttered, quickly covering his eyes with his tail out of embarrassment.
Then the room was silent once more, except for the for the corner where the soft sobs of Seth, Shayden and their sons could be heard. They were curled up together in a bundle of whimpering, shivering fluff. All four were tired and emotionally worn, so as a nurse approached the pile it took more than just an "ahem" or two to catch someone's attention."Excuse me," The nurse said for about the third time since she first came through the room. "But are you the family of miss Natalie?""Yes!" Kaiel exclaimed as he emerged from the bottom of the pile. He scrambled over his family members and stared right into the eyes of the nurse with his big, tear strained red eyes. "Is she okay?" He implored his lower lip quivering."Well, uh she's...""Yeah, did she make it?" Sebastian chimed in, echoing Kaiel's expression."Uh, well you see...""Oh thank God!" Seth exclaimed. "I thought we'd never hear about her! Will she be alright?""If you would just let me explain-""What needs to be explained?" Shayden squeaked. "Does she require further care? If so, what do we need to do? We'd do anything to help her!""Yes! Yes!" The nurse said, taking a deep breath to calm herself. "Natalie is doing very well. She had severe hypothermia and could possibly require medication for pneumonia, but we're still looking into that. However, she is awake and appears quite healthy." "THANK YOU GOD!" Was the unanimous exclamation that the nurse received. She watched as they hugged each other and couldn't help but grin. But then she turned and motioned towards the door she had came in from. "If you'd like to see her, please follow me."She didn't need to repeat herself this time for all four noodles had already barreled their way in front of her with a new life in their legs."Um, THIS WAY PLEASE!""OH! WAIT! THIS WAY GUYS!""Sorry about that, miss!""Oh, no need to apologize. I wish I could see this type of joy more often 'round this place."--------------------"Are they here yet, miss?" Natalie asked a woman in the room while she sat in her hospital bed. Her bright pink eyes weren't exactly looking towards the woman's direction but they looked healthier than they had previously looked."Yes, Natalie." The woman said. She was a young noodle fox that was dressed in a rather smart business fashion. She was holding a clipboard and looked as if she were there to sign forms and get going. However, she cracked a smile when Kaiel and Sebastian bounded into the room with such a clamor and laughed at how Seth and Shayden immediately began nuzzling Natalie."You're okay! You're really okay!""Thank God! I never thought we'd see you again!""H-Hi!" Natalie squeaked, laughing at the nuzzles she was getting. Although uncertain of who she was speaking to she wrapped her paws around both of their heads in a tight hug. "Thank you for saving me!" She exclaimed.Seth and Shayden gasped at the sudden hug they received and for a moment were quiet, awed by her thankfulness. Then, Seth nuzzled Natalie's cheek with a smile."You're very welcome, Natalie." He said. "You were in a terrible state and now you look so much better than you did. But, I can't help but wonder, why were you out there in the first place?" "Well...You see, I'm an-""She's an orphan that had become lost on a routine trip to the marketplace." The clipboard bearing noodle interrupted. "I'm one of the social workers that work with the orphans. She's been missing for more than three days. If you didn't find her she would have surely died."Seth and Shayden stared back at her in shock. Again, they were shifting glances back and forth between each other. Then they motioned Kaiel and Sebastian over and formed a small huddle. Finally, after what looked like deliberation, they dispersed. Seth, Shayden and Sebastian walked out of the room and down the hallway while Kaiel was left sitting between Natalie and the social worker with a smile stuck upon his face."Excuse me, but where are they going?" The social worker asked."They said something about taking a walk to the shops to pick up some things that would fit a situation like this one." Kaiel replied. "But I'm not sure what that means..."-------------------------------------
It was about an hour or two later that the trio returned to the hospital room. While Seth and Shayden went into another room to speak with the social worker, Sebastian set the items they had bought at the store, a bouquet of Gerber daisies and a set of jingle bell themed jewelry, down in front of Natalie and smiled."Hey, Natalie" He said. "My folks and I went out and bought you some presents. We hope you like them!"Natalie's face lit up at Sebastian's words. "You did?" She replied, her paws nudging the bouquet first which was immediately scooped up and sniffed. "Wow! Daisies?" She exclaimed. "I LOVE daises! Thank you so much!""Well, if you liked those..." Sebastian continued. "There's another present sitting there for you!""Really?! Where is it?" Natalie squeaked, her voice full of excitement. Her paws scrambled around for a second until she nudged one of the bells on the necklace and a grin emerged upon her face. "I heard a jingle bell! Was that the other gift?""Yep, that's part of it!" Sebastian said. "The bells are part of a set of jewelry made from jingle bells. Here, let me help you put the necklace on."Once she knew that the necklace was securely fastened on her neck, Natalie didn't hesitate to shake her neck around to hear the sound.Jingle Jingle Jingle"THESE ARE SO COOL!" Natalie cried, latching onto Sebastian and hugging him tight. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thaaaank you, THAAANK YOU!""But wait, Natalie!" Sebastian stammered. "I think my dads have another big present for you!""ANOTHER PRESENT!? REALLLY?!" Natalie said. "TELL ME, TELL ME! WHAT IS IT?!""Well..." Seth began, a tiny smirk upon his face. "You see, we talked to the social worker about a minute ago annd...""We, er, Seth and I..." Shayden continued. "Were wondering if you would like to know what we discussed.""YES, YES I DO!" Natalie cried, her face brimming with anticipation."So you'd like to know?" Seth inquired."Yes!""Are you sure?" Shayden added."YES!""ARE YOU REALLY SURE?" Sebastian said."I'M VERY VERY SURE!""What are we going to tell her, guys?" Kaiel asked, tilting his head to the side."We're going to tell her that she's going to come back home with us because we've just adopted her, Kaiel." Seth sighed."OHMYGOSH! REALLY!? Natalie screamed, her eyes filling with tears. "You adopted me?! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD EVER ADOPT ME!""Well, Natalie..." Seth said."Yes?" Natalie squeaked as she cried on Seth's shoulder.
"We just did."

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: jinxgirl5 Parent's Name: Dirk Parent's Image: [ x] -- Owner of Child: jinxgirl5 Gift to Child: Little Mischief rose RP Response: Dirk hummed cheerfully under his breath, his paws covered in rich, dark earth as he went around the farm and dug rocks out of fields that had been harvested and lay bare. ’Every year we clear the fields of rocks and every year there are more. I’m starting to think they grow just like plants,’ he thought with good humor, pulling yet another stone from the ground which he sent flying to the edge of the field with a strong flick of his head.
Normally Dirk would be out helping with the harvest, but today a group of orphans were visiting the farm. Part of some kind of field trip, a bit of fun to let them run around and see how food was made. Dirk himself was actually pretty good with kids, but he’d opted out of the greeting group on account of his feathered friends. Crows were always following him around, and he’d hate for them to scare one of the littles with their good-natured teasing. The group had arrived about the same time he’d started working in the field, and from time to time he couldn’t help but send longing glances towards the distant cluster of buildings where he knew they were at.
'I'd like a kid someday,' he thought as he turned back to his work. Dirk had always loved children; they were just so full of life and a pleasure to watch grow! The prospect of him having kids of his own seemed unlikely though. He spent all his free time working on the farm. What female would have him, homely as he was and covered in mud and muck, who would be content to settle and tend the earth at his side? Even if someone like that existed, chances were she was just as tied to a particular plot of earth as he was and they'd never meet. Dirk was optimistic, but not that optimistic...
The sound of crows cawing snapped Dirk out of his depressing thoughts. He whipped his head around in the direction of a stand of trees they'd chosen to perch in as he worked, then dashed over to see what was causing the commotion. He pushed through some lows branches and undergrowth, stumbling into a tiny clearing that served as the farm's unofficial flower garden, then stopped in surprise at the sight that awaited him.
In the middle of a patch of forget-me-nots sat a child, a little girl, glaring with imperious violet eyes at the scornful crows. One of the bolder ones had hopped down to the ground behind the girl, intelligent beady black eyes glinting with mischievous intent as he slowly shuffled forward. Dirk held his breath, waiting and watching to see what would happen. Right when the crow stepped close to the girl, she lifted her tail and -whack-! The crow screeched in surprise and fled to the trees while his fellows mocked him. Dirk couldn't help himself.
"Pft!" He started to crack up, doubling over and trying to control his laughter. The girl spun around and glared at him. "It's not polite to laugh at a lady," she said primly. That nearly set Dirk off again, but he managed to get himself under control. "I apologize," he said, straightening. "Though I hope you can forgive my confusion. I've never heard of a lady who swats at crows."
The girl sniffed and put her nose in the air, then cracked an eye and stared critically at Dirk's paws. "You're covered in mud," she accused. "I don't like mud."
Dirk let that statement go by unchallenged. The last of his mirth trickled away and he fixed the girl with a stern gaze. "We don't have any kids around the farm, so you must be with that group that's visiting. What are you doing down here all by yourself?" She fidgeted, then resumed her haughty demeanor.
"It's booooring over there. One of the people said something about flowers, and I asked, and he pointed, then I snuck away." She fluffed out her fur, seeming quite proud about the last part. Dirk kept his gaze firm.
"What about the people looking after you? They must be really worried that you disappeared," he admonished. The girl scowled and looked down at the ground.
"They don't care about me," she mumbled, so quiet he almost didn't catch it. "I'm not "sweet" and "nice" like all the other kids. They think I'm stupid and rude and silly and they'd be just as happy if I vanished altogether." Dirk instantly softened. If she was telling the truth he was sure she probably earned her reputation, but no matter how challenging the personality it wasn't right to make a child feel unwanted. His eyes darted around the clearing, looking for something to make her feel better. Ah ha! He crossed through the low grass to a patch of sunlit flowers and carefully plucked one. It was late in the year of course, but the clearing was well-sheltered and the particular speciman he'd taken a flower from was quite hardy. The girl watched him suspciously as he approached, then knelt and offered her a perfect pink rose.
"This type of rose is called Little Mischief. All they need is sun and a bit of attention, and they thrive." His eyes twinkled with amusement. "I think you have a lot in common with it." The girl stared at the rose for so long Dirk was almost sure she was going to reject it. Therefore he was quite surprised when he heard, "It's pretty," and she reached out to accept the flower. She rolled the rose around in her paws a bit, looking down at the ground. "I don't have anyone to give me attention like the rose does though."
Dirk quirked a corner of his mouth up into a crooked smile. "You've got my attention right now, don't you?" His breath caught at the beautiful smile she beamed at him, and he felt his heart melt a bit further. He cleared his throat and straightened. "Come on, we should get you back before everyone worries." The girl made a face, but picked up her rose and followed without complaint. As they walked Dirk asked, "So why don't you like mud? It makes stuff grow like food and pretty flowers?"
The girl made a face again, looking up at Dirk like he was missing something obvious. "But mud isn't pretty. It's gloopy and gets in your fur and is full of bugs!" Dirk chuckled and the pair proceeded to launch into a debate about the pros and cons of mud. In the back of his mind he thought maybe he ought to have a talk with the adoption folk once they reached the barns...

I seek a child of my own! Owner of Parent: Depawsit Parent's Name: Adele Parent's Image: Adele -- Owner of Child: Depawsit Gift to Child: A dreamcatcher made of different objects found in the sea. RP Response: Another year, another Christmas alone such was the life the miserable Adele. By day, a low on her luck female, dodging the glances of random men, by night another tortured soul, fueling herself with caffeine to negate the terrors that plagued her dreams. Even now as she walked the snowy streets alone, she could feel the darkness pressing down upon her, she needed caffeine and she needed it now. With a panic unlike most would be used to, Adele's eyes began to dart from on direction to another. No shops in sight! Instead she retreated to her plan B, the dream catcher she held securely around her neck. A last resort, but never a regret. As she reached up and touched the surface of the contraption a slow warmth spread over her, and a sense of calm was restored. Now to continue her walk. But before she could continue something familiar caught the attention of her ears. A loud, squeaky whining, coming from somewhere nearby. With her ears on alert, Adele found her way through the Christmas crowds, and with some trouble, right into the front doors of an orphanage. Immediately the warm feeling that had rushed through her system earlier disappeared, leaving her cold and empty once again. She knew this place, though not because she passed it regularly, even if she did. She had been here herself once for quite some time, and had hoped to never come back. Shuddering in anxiety, Adele began to step backwards, her head bowed to the ground to hide the guilt she felt. But again - that small squeaky whine caught her attention. 'Where is that whine coming from?'Fearful to open her eyes, she clenched her teeth and wrapped her paw around her dream catcher once more, as she allowed herself to look up from the cold ground she had been staring at. A quick glance of her surroundings granted her no answer - there were kits everywhere jumping around, giggling, excited to see all of the Christmas visitors. But not a one that seemed in distress from where she was standing. Perhaps if she walked around for a better look she would find her answer? It wasn't the ideal situation for the young female, to be surrounded by so many kits but that pitiful whine had tugged something loose deep within her heart, and she had to see it through. As she walked through the isles, watching all of the giddy kits, she felt her heart began to melt. so many kits in need of a home. She could do something about that! While she wasn't the ideal vision of a family, surely she had enough love to fill the void one of these poor kits needed? Yes, she was positive she could do it. But - how was she going to choose? Was this really the right choice? Spontaneous actions weren't her best trait - thinking things through - that's what she needed to do! It was at that moment, as she rejected her initial idea, that Adele did yet another 180. Just before her, tucked in a far corner, with their tail tucked tightly around them was a small kit. It's tail warming the rest of it's twitching body, as it slumbered away, trapped in it's own terrors. Her appropriate resolve immediately melted as the flashback hit her. This little kit - reminded her so much of herself, it was painful to watch. She slowly wobbled her weary body over to the young one and nudged him lightly to awaken it. "There, there now little one. You're safe now." She softly cooed at the stirring critter. As the weary kit stared up at the wobbly Adele, a connection flickered between them and a bond was forged. Though perhaps, only one of them could realize it. The small kit whined softly as it crawled closer to the female before him, a small twinkle of hope in his eye. That small glimmer of hope soon turned to fascination as he stood between her front paws. The small strands of the dream catcher tickling his nose as he looked up at her. With a laugh, Adele fell more and more in love with her little mini me, and leaned down to allow him easier access to the dream catcher. This little creature was so innocent, adorable, and alone. She couldn't leave him here all alone. Could she? Another small tug at her neck sent her into giggles once again. "I tell you what little one, why don't you take of this for me?" She asked as she tugged the catcher free of her own neck, and placed it around his. "Perhaps, it will keep your dreams as safe as it has mine over the years." She paused, "Or perhaps we could do that or each other? Would you like that? You could come home with me, and together we could chase those bad dreams away like BOSSES!" As her voice cracked, she quickly regained her composure and picked right back again - "Or you know, superheros or something!"The young kit at her feet began yipping in excitement at her words, finding himself speechless of words of his own. Instead, his excitement took the form of energy, allowing the kit to run circles around the older female, tripping from time to time over the catcher as he did so. "I'll take that as a yes!" Adele smiled, escorting the young kit towards the nearest matron, both of their hopes set on a new life.

I seek a child of my own!Owner of Parent:lisais-fire619 Parent's Name:Jiji Parent's Image: Image-- Owner of Child:lisais-fire619 Gift to Child: a down-soft blanket RP Response: Jiji was generally a traveller but on his many journeys he had meet many families. Though while seeing them all made him happy cause they seemed so warm and inviting when ever he left he felt sad. Because he was always leaving alone and after awhile loneliness tends to eat at you. So he decided he would go home and settle down and maybe have a little one. Well as the days passed at home he decided he would get a little one to raise and take care of and the idea of it made him warm inside and his heart sing. He wasn't sure how he would accomplish this but he would find a way to do so. Maybe he'd ask his dear friend Melissa about this idea after all he liked her and for some reason it seemed right to bring this up with her. Jiji was making his was threw the Christmas market with all its hustle and bustle. He had a blanket tided on to his back. He'd found it while travelling and thought to show it to Melissa so that's what he was out doing, on his way to her place. It was an extra chilly day and the sky looked like it was about to snow. He didn't want the blanket to get soaked so he picked up his pace though if it was wind alone it wouldn't have bothered him for the blanket blocked most of the cold and kept his back quite warm. In his hurry he became less aware of his surroundings, well that was until the wind brought to him this faint whine. He paused and listened. It sounded distressed and helpless, like something was wrong. That worried him so he went off in search of the poor creature that was whining. He panicked when he noticed it was getting fainter like the poor thing was giving up. He ran threw the market and at the little ones last whine he found it. There was a little girl curled up in a pile of snow shivering from the cold and covered in dirt. She trembled and had her eyes shut as if that would block out the cold. His heart felt like it was being torn apart, who could leave such a precious thing out here like this? He didnt know but he would fix this. Reaching out he said "Come here little one, it's alright I've got you," and he pulled her to him. He quickly took of the blanket from his back and wrapped it around her small form bundling her up than curling around the bundle to give even more heat. Once the kit had stopped shivering enough where he wasnt worried about moving her, he picked her up in the blanket and carried her away to a warmer place. He decided to take her home and so he did.
