Stage One: Danny stared at the obstacle course with wide eyes. This. This was the greatest thing that had happened at the academy since she came here. She breathlessly handed the paper to the little Trick or Treater who was running this show. No wings and no natural abilities. Got it got it.
She booked it for the first obstacle. Some hurdles. She could jump these. The fact that they were on fire? She was a flame demon. The gnomes started jeering at her, seemingly from no where. Princess Glitterpants? How rude! A shot rung out and missed her by an inch. Crap! It looks like it was time to go.
Danny booked it for the first hurdle, and made it over that just fine. She even went through the fire. This was fun! A chance to use her skills! Sort of! Well if anything, being fireproof helped. This obstacle course was so going to be her b***h.
Then everything went wrong.
Danny tripped over the second hurdle, which in turn knocked the third hurdle down. One of the shots from the gnomes hit her and it was all over. Danny dissipated, and woke up in Nurse Cricket's office a few seconds later. Needless to say, Danny was upset. That obstacle course had been fun! Oh well, next time right?((LMAO failure at the first stage.))

STAGE ONE
Oh Jack . . . not fire. Not fire. Vero could handle sparkles and exploding cats and even the occasional multiple slaps of fail fish. But burning hot fire?
The only upside to this was that it wasn't smoking. Or maybe it was a downside. Vespians were naturally sedated by smoke, and this perhaps would have been a better option than being all pins and needles . . .
Worse, before him went Ulmuka, and before Vero could alert his friend to watch out for the fiery hoops, he had disappeared in a burst of FEAR particles.
Gulp.
Zingzingzing! Several shots rang out about his feet - accidental misses.
"MOVE IT, BUG BREATH," shouted one of the gnome snipers.
And move Vero did. Oh yes, yes he did. Between the jitters and the forced rush, it was a miracle that he had made it through.

STAGE TWO (fail)
And that miracle was about to become short-lived.
The wall of fire was no longer forcing the little spirit onward, but he almost wished the incentive to not get burned from behind was: those rings were like devious open mouths, waiting to engulf him like hard candy.
All Vero could imagine was watching his friend dissipate in those very wings, and it made him shudder. Why was he here again? Hadn't the festival been enough of a test? Curiously, praying, he attempted to side-step the rings.
Zing! All it took was one shot to force Vero back into the ring - into the fire more like. With a small pop he was gone, his yelp cut off by the sudden destruction of his vocal chords.
Not long after, he was awakened in the ward by a rather purse-lipped nurse, and with a groan sat up. "Fire . . . By the Queen, it had to be fire . . ."

Stage 1
Ash told himself he'd avoid the flaming death trap from hell. He told himself. But just like falling down stairs due to tripping on his too long pantslegs, it kept happening.
He was prepared, today. He'd shucked his apron, his helm and his blade. He'd cast off his love for button up shirts, and had forsaken his dress shoes for sneakers. He was even wearing shorts.
He took off at a sprint, dashing towards the hurdles.

Stage 2 Previous Rolls: 42
Having successfully jumped the hurdles, and only taking one bullet that had grazed his arm, Ashford gleefully made his way towards the hoops.
It wasn't often that he felt physically exerted-- his strength gave him some stamina as well, but he never really felt the need to go on a run, unless it was chasing after a friend or a stray minipet.
It felt good to run. Hopefully he wouldn't be set aflame.

lizbot ((FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF SORRY! POSTED WRONG ROLL ~ JUST GO BY WHICHEVER DIE WENT HIGHEST AND ROLL 1 100-SIDED DIE FROM THIS POINT BRB FAILING INTO ETERNITY)) (Ty for clearing that up. ^-^) Ru harumphed, tugging the last of the bandages loose from her frame and shrugging off what remained of the burns as though they hardly hurt. Sign the form, take the sticker, dizzy, shot at, moving. It all seemed somehow familiar... OH YEAH! The fish game at the Floresctival... With the snatching of those pretty red fish eggs. She pondered briefly, wondering how they might be doing under Ikki's tutelage. The thought passed, though, and with a grin, the troll took off, bouncing over the hurdles again with a strange sort of grace about herself for it.

Ru paused as she passed over the hurdles, looking towards the challenge that had gotten her last time and wincing softly. "THOSE things again..." She shuddered, and glanced back as the wall of flames closed on her, then forward as another of the bullets disturbed the dirt at her toes.
Spurred, the troll took a breath and pelted forward.
And again found herself stuck in the middle of one of the rings. Her figure caught fire and she panicked, her bulk making escaping the rings more difficult than it should be. As she finally landed back against the ground, her figure dissipated and she appeared again at the FEAR clinic.

He was so treating himself to a breakfast of champions after this. Or a lunch, since it was half past noon already. he could really go for some pizza, maybe it would be a decent hour for Ms. Amrita, after he got done and back into decent attire, and they could go get a late lunch.
Mmm. What he wouldn't do for a Pizza Ruts pie with newt tongues right now.
Ashford sized up the bombs and cracked his knuckles.
"Bring it," he muttered to himself, hopping from foot to foot before taking off at a run.

Urgh, that had been closer than it had yesterday. His entire face and neck was covered in soot. He used his tank top to wipe it off, revealing dem chiseled abs.
Back to that Jack forsaken lake. He inched upon it, hollering fiercely at a gnome that told him to hurry his sweet a** up, and grunted with the first leap.
Well, s**t, he felt something like a twisted ankle, right there. Nonetheless, he kept a-hopping, keeping his ears peeled for that ******** lake skitter...thing.

FAILED
No such luck. In the middle of a jump, Ash's leg was promptly grabbed onto by the skitter of the lava lake, and was dragged under. He disintegrated almost instantly, and popped up in the school's FEAR clinic, eyes wide and newly re-formed skin a fresh pink.
HE'D GET YOU NEXT TIME, SKITTER. NEXT TIME.

Stage One
When he'd come out from class, Israfel hadn't particularly thought about doing anything with his day, much less working out, putting himself at risk, or going near anything flaming. But...Signs. Signs and sign ups and sign downs and before the siren realized what he had joined, he found himself looking down the face of things on fire. A lot of things on fire. First up were hurdles on fire. Then t was hoops, then minipets then- Nope. Nope. Not going to think that far. With a small shudder, Israfel looked at the Trick or Treater. How did they even get onto the school in the first place? Were they going to trick them? Probably. But the idea of treats hung heavy in the air. And Israfel did love his treats after all.
Looking at the hurdles of flame, Israfel took a deep breath. He could do this. He was a bird and some birds could jump super awesome! Maybe he could too! Backing up to give himself a running start, the blue eyes of the siren shot wide as his feet sent him propelling to what his mind was screaming was doom and death and day to be spent in nurse cricket's office.
But to his own self amazement, he cleared the first hurdle. As the second approached he cleared that one as well. Before he could even comprehend it all, Israfel turned around and looked at what he'd just done. He'd cleared the hurdles. He'd made it.

Stage Two ((Previous stages: 55))
While Israfel had managed to clear the hurdles, he was uneasy as he approached the Hoops. More fire. And...well.
Trying what he had attempted on the hurdles was proving to not be a good idea. The first hoop he didn't even managed, his arm hitting a bar, and the siren gave a cry of pain. Why of all the things was it fire? Granted he wasn't undead but fire still hurt. So did hitting your arm into thing at a full run. And hitting the ground and eating dirt. And then realizing you were on fire and dissipating. Not only was that painful, but it was gross. Mostly since that would me drooling centipedes. Still, Israfel was more then happy to wake up in the infirmary since at the very least, nothing was on fire in the infirmary.

Stage One: Pass
Riley wasn't there to jump over hurtles for minipets. In fact, she could have cared less that there were prizes to be had, it was the man holding those prizes that she cared about. Her eyes were only for her.
She had to wonder if Hellma was just leading her on a wild goose chase at this point. Still, with a best friend like Jericho, Riley wasn't afraid to get a little burned.
She backed up a few steps, ran for the hurtles, and sailed over each one without so much as a singe.

Stage Two: Fail
Determination wasn't enough, sometimes. Neither was a healthy toughness against fire, it seemed - as she sailed through the first hoop, she burst into a rather spectacular pillar of flame. The next sight she saw was the ceiling of the infirmary.. and her failure dug down deep.
She knew she'd have to jump hoops to talk to the man, but this was ridiculous..
