Her smile couldn't get any bigger, "Of course I do! Look around Katsuto. Everyone is happy. You've created a wonderful kingdom! And you've become a great king." She leaned against the metal bar, staring out at the view. "I wish I could stay here forever."

Raising an eyebrow, Katsuto frowned.
"What is stopping you? This is a kingdom founded upon immortality, the concept of forever. As I see it, you need not limit your stay. Unless, of course there is a reason why you wish to depart."
A flicker of pain crossed through his eyes as he tried to conceal it.

Rosalie leaned back, her smile didn't quite reach her eyes. "I am only human, Katsuto. I wont live forever like you.." Her voice trailed off and she turned to look at him. "Promise me that the kingdom will stay the same even after I die. It is a wonderful home and a good shelter for those that need it. I'd hate for anything bad to happen here." She twisted her fingers together.

The small pain centered within his chest as he allowed his free hand to grip the railing to the small cart. Her words rang all to true within his heart and reminded him of the fragile mortal states of most of his guests. They would not be the same as others who had com before. They would all pass on to the next life soon enough or perhaps to some higher plane of existence all together. The symbolic pendant suspended from his neck seemed a much heavier cross to bear as it reminded him of the gift and curse that was a vampire's immortality. Still his nature would not allow him to readily lose to any opponent, even death himself. His eyes gazed far off into the horizon as he searched for the proper words.
"Rosalie... what if humanity... That is to say, if it were possible..."
His hesitation was obvious as he unconsciously moved his hand toward his heart.
"It is possible to continue your existence. To be something other than human."

His words seemed to echo in her mind. "Something..other than human?" She whispered to herself. She knew what he was offering and her stomach churned with hope and fear at the idea. To be able to be with Katsu forever...The thought alone made her heart race. But would that mean that she, too, would have to become a creature of darkness?
Rosalie paled at the thought of biting into someone's neck and drinking their blood. She twisted her fingers unsure of how to answer.
After a long moment Rosalie looked at him. "Are you happy, Katsuto?" It was a simple question, but the way she said the words made it seem that the answer was very important to her.

The infliction hidden within her words was hard to miss, and Katsuto paused to weigh his own words before he spoke them.
"I know that my actions in the past have done much to cause sorrow for many others. That being the case, I do not feel that happiness is an emotion I rightfully deserve. However, being here with you in this moment, I am happy. I can attempt to pay penance for my sins for the remainder of eternity, but what would that accomplish? The dead are gone, and will not return. However I can endeavor to remain happy and make others happy as well. I believe that is a much more valuable use for my time, is it not?"
He gave a soft smile, turning to meet her eyes.
"I know that this is a heavy decision and that it will require much time and thought. I do ask however that you remember this. Not all vampires are ruled by blood lust. It is inevitable in the beginning, but with time and practice it is possible to overcome that thirst. I shall help you."

Her eyes drifted downwards in thought. She didn't hold any of his past actions against him, even if it did scare her to think of them sometimes. The past was the past and he had managed to come out of it roughly clean. Rosalie wondered if she could do the same. He was born a vampire, while she would have to be turned. It had to be different for her. What if the blood lust consumed her? What if the transformation turned her into someone she wouldn't recognize?
Rosalie laced her fingers in his and leaned against his shoulder. "This is everything I need right here, Katsu. The possibility of staying with you forever is more than I could hope for, but I'm afraid of what such a change will make of me." Her words were soft and calming. She didn't want him to think that she was refusing him. She just needed some time to think about it.

He gave a soft smile to Rosalie, nodding as he did so. Resting a hand on top of hers, he gave it a comforting caress.
"Take your time. You need not decide right away."

Chishio worked hard to keep a straight face as the conversations high above floated down to her sensitive ears. Already she was livid with fury centered at the girl who had taken up a position at the Lord's side. Her eyes darted around the grounds, cold and calculating.

Rosalie sighed a sigh of relief and smiled. "Thank you, Katsu."
They were almost to the bottom now. She wiggled her fingers playfully under his, "Do you have plans? I heard Crux is playing his music somewhere around here. We could go listen if you'd like.."
The ride stopped at the bottom and she opened the latch, still holding his hand. She pulled him out after her. It felt a bit weird to be back on solid ground, but the ride was very enjoyable. "Thank you for riding with me, Katsuto. Did you like it?"

He nodded, turning to give a slight bow.
"Indeed. It was quite calming.Thank you for accompanying me."
Looking around the grounds, a slight frown came over his features.
"I am not certain as to what else is in this area. Nor am I familiar with many of these rides."
"I can help you with that, good sir."
Dimitri waltzed up from the shadows, tipping his hat in greeting.
"You wish to see more attractions, ya? I could provide you with a guide for the right price."

Rosalie jumped, a bit startled. She regarded the man curiously, tilting her head to the side. Her eyes grew wide and she stepped closer to him. Her feet moved circles around him, as her eyes inspected him with interest. Suddenly she rushed up to him, grabbed his hat, put it on her head and ran behind Katsuto.
The hat slipped down her head and she had to keep pushing it up so it wouldn't cover her eyes completely. She peaked out from behind Katsu and pointed at the man. "Show us around free of charge, or the hat gets it!" She pushed the hat up again, smiling playfully.

Holding his hands in surrender, Dimitri attempted a friendly smile.
"Now, now, let's not do anything hasty."
His right hand shimmered as the hat magically appeared back in his grasp. He placed it back on his head, strategically dipping it below one eye.
"Much better. I like this hat."
He grinned at Rosalie, chuckling at her bold behavior.
"You have quite the spirit, have you ever considered joining a carnival?"

She pouted, looking at her empty hands disappointingly, but she quickly recovered and flashed a smile at the man, "I don't think I have good enough hand-eye coordination for circus acts. I fall down all the time just walking around." She paused, looking at him curiously. " My name is Rosalie..and you must be the man in charge of making all the games unwinnable.." She looked down at her empty hands once more, wondering what trick he used to get the hat back.

Not able to stand remaining quiet much longer, Chishio approached the group to answer Rosalie's question.
"The games are purely based on luck and skill alone. You shouldn't blame others for something that you do not possess."
She pushed her way between Rosalie and Katsuto, wrapping her arms around him.
"My Lord, why do you keep such an odd human by your side? She cannot be as entertaining as events in the past. Do you not remember the bloodshed? The feasts upon your victims?"
