Okay! biggrin ...
...
...
That sounds slightly unpleasant. Lol. Do-able of course, but it wouldn't be nice having to file someone's skin off. Ah ha ha!

^_^ I have it saved in my favourites list too. Along with a bunch of journals I like reading and the rping guide for beginners. I'm not a beginner anymore but I still make mistakes.

Well, I was uncertain about a lot of things relating to the GMFC (since it's such a big place) so I've been back to read over it and all the rules numerous times. But I went back and checked and you would be correct. Unless you have one of the items they're after, it's really that much.

But flatsales are cheaper in a way - they just come with different conditions.

And so do auctions. (Though, I don't like auctions myself. The pressure gets to me and I can't watch. Lol.)

We live in a neighbourhood where on one side, the house is either empty for months or being rented by people, so you never know who's coming or going, above us there is a family who occasionally have parties and another house who occasionally have loud fights that the whole street can hear. And at the bottom of the hill are some more smaller houses which we also never know who lives there or not (lots of teens and young people, occasional parties) and how on earth that many people all seem to fit in the one tiny house. It's a nice quiet sort of neighbourhood all the same. Our next door neighbour on our other side is a more elderly lady with grandchildren and dogs who bark at everything and set all the dogs in the neighbourhood off.

Hm, that doesn't sound very nice. I hope your brother was okay. Maybe you could stick something on the doorbell, remove the batteries or set up a sprinkler system that's activated by motion or something. mrgreen So long as it didn't get anyone in trouble, that is.

I guess, maybe a reason for the behaviour is that they are bored? Or there are other issues going on. I wouldn't know what else to do except talk to the parents if it keeps happening.

Well, he files his own skin off into little jars to give away as gifts (It's not as weird if you think of what it does. XD ) so it would probably have to come of his back or some other place he couldn't/wouldn't reach.

Expensive! T.T

My neighborhood is nothing but quiet from our vantage point (we're the ones yelling it out or throwing loud parties, usually, so the neighbors might think differently. : O ), but the houses are generally spaced enough that we don't have any noise problems.

He was okay, just got his elbows and some of his legs skinned. >: /

I wouldn't know--I don't go outside much, and I'm ten years older than all the kids around here, so... O.O; Yeah, talking to the parents is about all we can do so far. Personally, if talking to the parents doesn't work, I'll call the police on their kid to let them know that I wasn't kidding when I said he was buggin' me. -.- I'm really patient for a long time, but when I'm set off, I'm really set off. >.<; And most people can tell that about me after, like, ten minutes of knowing me in person, for some reason. o.O I don't know how they know, but they do, because some of them comment on it.

*giggles at that* It does sound a little weird but still, it makes sense. ^_^ Lol.

Mm-hm. I guess you just have to keep on questing and don't give up. 3nodding

Well, we live in more of a suburban area near the countryside so it's never too noisy. Most of the time we're spared all the things that happen in the larger part of town.

I'm glad that was all. sweatdrop It's a shame that it happened though... At least it wasn't anything worse.

I'd probably call the police or something too, if things got too drastic. I wouldn't know what else to do if I tried everything else and nothing else worked.

Wow, really? I didn't think that at all. surprised But then again we are typing words on the internet. That usually doesn't give many clues about personalities and such. At least, not in my experience. smile

Yes. : ) I've been working on his and Zhorm's profile lately. Can't post it just yet, but I've discovered quite a few things about Zhorm... >.>

I tend to be very different online; as do most everyone I know. I tend to be more open/happy-go-lucky online. IRL I'm much grumpier/quieter/politely distant, depending on my mood and who I'm with, unless I'm with my few close friends. THEN I'm much like I am online. XD

Hm, I suppose I do as well. More confident and I find it easier to talk to people. 3nodding Sometimes, I am overly confident. Ehehe. That could get me into trouble...

It's so much fun, it's easy to get carried away.

I do try and just be myself though. Even if I am a fair bit immature at times. That's just me. Lol.

Mmhm, irl, I'm much quieter and have a social phobia of people. I've been working on it and slowly, bit by bit, have made improvements but...this feels like the safest and easiest way to communicate for me. biggrin

It's probably foolish to be nervous even talking online, but I'm overcoming that too.

And besides, I love losing myself in all the different stories and characters around Gaia. It's great!

How's this for the daycare roleplay? Will it work?

Name: Omirao

Age: 31

Gender: Male

Race: Fairy

Appearance: Short (3' 8"); Bright, colorfully red hair (definitely not a natural color for humans, but he swears he doesn't dye it...); Blue, fin-like wings; Pointed ears; Blue eyes; Glasses; Like this

Short Bio: Rare that they were, Omirao's parents were watched very, very closely by the objective biologists of Gaia. Thus, said biologists knew exactly when he was born and, greedy for what the new child could teach them about the exotic species of fairy, they stole him. He doesn't know this, of course--the biologist's facilities were shut down just a few years later because of a lack of funds, well before any detailed memories could form in young Omi's mind. Desperate for a way out of their excessive debt, the now heavily corrupt biologists sold him to whoever would pay the most: a Traveling Troupe of Oddities. Thus was Omirao's life for just over ten long years...

Conditions in the Troupe were harsh for the "performers", with cold, hard cages, gruel for food, and various forms of abuse to ensure the manager's power. Unfortunately for the managers, Omirao was hit a little too hard once during his fifteenth year, breaking his nose and starting a large flow of his viruently acidic blood. Fortunately for Omirao, it lasted just long enough for him to successfully flee through the town they'd been staying in. From there, he began a new life, traveling to the city, starting a proper education, and learning the trade of an accountant. Now, he's finally to a comfortable place in life, and wishes to expand his experiences... With a bit of money on the side, which would help this poor fellow imensely.

Other: He has some special abilities; not sure if they classify as being "too much" for this roleplay's purposes or not, but...

Wings: He can hover short distances and lift himself a few feet in the air.

Skin: His skin has healing properties. It wouldn't be much against, say, a mortal wound, but small scrapes/bruises/illnesses tend to heal real quick when applied.

Spit: His spit is beautifying; clearing complexions, smoothing wrinkles, and fading bad liver spots. Not much use in this particular environment, I'm thinking... XD

Blood: Acidic. Will burn unless a base is applied/blood is washed off. This is part of why Omirao wears heavy coats and gloves.

It's really good! If you PMed that to Bijou, I think he'd explode from happiness. Lol.

Really, anyone is welcome and it looks just great to me.

I kept on bugging Bijou to add more rooms to the centre so the daycare also got pretty big. blaugh

The rp isn't strict at all, so you can jump in whenever you want. We're just wrapping up the end of a day now and starting the next scene soon. But, I have a tendency to get stuck on the same day for ages and ages so they can be pretty long. Bijou gets dragged along with me. XD

What kind of trouble would overconfidence lead to here? XD

Usually I juat say what comes to mind. It's the existence of emoticons that bring my drama-king-ness out. >: D

I think. >.>;

Phobia's are weird. I have an almost-phobia of lightning. It leaves me in tears if I have to go outside at all when there's a lightning storm, no matter how mild. O///O;

I just posted it because it said to... just post things... : O

I saw that. XD I was looking through the announcements the other day, and he mentions you buggin' him for more spaces quite a bit.

I'll probably have Omi hop in during the next scene, which is supposed to start anytime, yes?

Lol, it sounds like you guys have a lot of fun.

Oh…posting things I wouldn’t normally post. Ehe. I’m not sure if it’s okay to talk about threads in other threads but I took a gamble and posted anyway. And…now that I think about it, I guess it’s just my fear of doing something wrong and annoying others that makes me say that. ^.^; I care too much what people think.

Emoticons are really great, especially if you happen to be hyper while using them. XD

Wow, really? I’ve never heard of that before. If I get pushed too far, I have a terribly embarrassing meltdown kind of thing in front of whomever it may be doing the pushing. Yay.

Oh right. I forgot about that. He’s fairly laid back when it comes to rules and things.

Ehehee…I did indeed. I was thinking ‘oh hey, that’d be a fun room to include – Bijou, PLEASE add it in!’ etc and so on. Sometimes it was more like ‘did you add it yet? How about now?’ reminders so he couldn’t forget even if he wanted to. But he did forget to say that he asked me to do so. *laughs*

Yes. I’ll try and wrap up on my end now so we can start a new day. Currently, the centre’s only open during daytime.

We do. XD Lol. Some of the things we get up to would probably never be allowed irl, such as that mud fight in the playground.

Lots of people care too much what others think. In fact, even those who swear adamantly that they don't care care--they care that people think they don't care. XD It can get very complex, but in the end, less than one percent of the world DOESN'T care what others think, not counting those with severe mental illness. I used to think I didn't care, but people who don't care aren't shy, I think, so I figured I did. o.o

Yes. Usually crying in terror is involved in phobias, but fear is shown in many ways. o.o Mine is an "almost" phobia because I can still function when confronted by my fear--I just have to play a cheesy old country song's chorus over and over again in my head until I'm done functioning. >.>;;

Lol. XDD

Which definitely limits the number of custom vampire/half-vampire babies, yes. : D

Eh, I've seen people do it. I'm to prissy to engage myself in such a messy act, but others I know--*cough* my boyfriend *coughcough*--don't hesitate to dive right into those kind of things. : O! Oddly enough, he's the neat freak and I'm the one who's living space looks like a disaster. XD

Oh...*swirly eyes* That makes sense. I guess I shouldn't worry so much. But I know I'm still going to.

XD

Neat, that's one way of handling it. blaugh I like some country music. Not all, but I do like some, such as Olivia Newton John singing 'country road'. 3nodding I like Chinese bamboo flute music and rock and pop and other stuff too. My tastes are fairly eclectic.

Mm...the techniques I use are to try and pretend I'm somewhere else, or talking to one of my characters or even some self talk. But usually I can't think, everything turns into a panicked blur and my emotions overwhelm. If I can catch myself in time, I can usually hold it together long enough to get away from the situation and calm down. If I can't get away, then...it isn't much fun.

Yes, I guess so. I never even considered that. Unless they want to live in the nap and the movie rooms, I think they'd have a difficult time. Mind you, perhaps it's okay if they just stay indoors all day. And away from the windows.

Maybe we should add a new 'dark level' to the centre...hm. And then we'd need people with the right vision for that.

Oh okay. I like mud but only if I'm prepared to get messy. I wouldn't want to riun my clothes and such by just leaping in. I don't really like food fights and the like. I'm the neat one and my sis is the messy one. We live in the same room. XD Lol.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 07, 2010 8:49 am

Did I confuse you..? @.@

I was raised on country, so unless I actively try to hate it, I'm going to like it. XD Otherwise, my tastes go for old-style metal, new metal, hard rock, some alternative, most new age, and celtic symphony. o.o;

Yes. You're phobia is more phobia-ish than mine, from the way you're describing it. Do you ever feel as though you're being choked/suffocating during such situations?

Lol. Is this going to be another "nag Bijou" thing? XDD

Even when I'm prepared, it's still hard for me to make myself have fun playing in mud. >.<;; Unless someone else is freaking out about it. Then I forget that I hate mud, somehow, and enjoy it just as much as my boyfriend would. o.O;

Lol, do you guys have to draw a line down the middle? XDD Me and my sisters were all the same amount of messy in our rooms, so back when it wasn't "weird" to have boy and girl siblings sleeping in the same room everything was just all over the place. 9.9

Only for a moment. I worked out what you meant after reading it over three times or so. XD

Hmm, that's an interesting mix. 4laugh Especially the Celtic Symphony, lol. I like all kinds of music but I'm...not so much into the darker or more depressing stuff. I can listen to it if I'm in a good mood though. I have nothing against country music and enjoy quite a bit of it.

Yep! It's a lovely feeling indeed. *laughs*

Probably it is... =^.^= If he likes it and he asks me to politely nag remind him so that he doesn't forget to add it in, then I certainly will. mrgreen We're both as bad as each other when it comes to teasing/playing pranks on. He's used to it.

I didn't enjoy playing in it on school camp one time. It was horrible because I had to wear the only pair of clothes I had left that were clean and it was actually a 'mud walk' so you were submerged in waist high mud for the entire duration of the hike. Okay, so, it was a little bit fun... xd But I stood on a rock and tried to avoid the massive mudfight at the end. I think I was worried about my hair...if I recall.

Well, I would, but there's no room on the floor. >.> Even so, we do have 'sides'. Lol. She has to clean up her side of the room every now and again and then slowly but surely, bits of mess start to creep back everywhere till the whole room looks like something exploded. And I am not allowed to touch her things to tidy up or she gets annoyed since it's her 'organised mess'. If you want to survive in the same room, you have to defend your territory. My territory is my bed. I defend it well. =^_^=

I tend to like the heavily instrumental stuff, and celtic symphony has a lot of mix between haunting (the only kind I can sing to and sound amazing >.<) and fun, upbeat folk-songs. : )

For some reason, I never really like any music except the kind you'd expect in the background of a party/long car ride/restaurant; and only if its, well, in the background... O.O! It's odd, but my high moods are too high to waste time just listening to music on my lonesome.

Yeah, then you likely have a clinical phobia. o.o Mine's not bad enough to be clinically recognized. : O

Rofl!! I like that last part. It reminds me of when I actually DID share a room with my sister...

Sorry about the wait!! I've been hammered at school. T.T Graduating this year, yes? Last eight weeks, and they want to see how purple our faces will get if they make us sprint the rest...

Ah, sorry I haven't replied for so long! As you might see in my signature, I've been having a little trouble finding computers with internet atm. (*nerdnerdnerd* emo ) But I've commandeered my brother's laptop this morning while he's out to sea working on a charter boat. biggrin Ehehehehe.

Wow, you're lucky you can sing to anything. When I sing, it sounds like crows with sore throats. XD I like instrumental music too. So long as it isn't the icky kind like in elevators. Anything fun and upbeat is my kind of thing too. I recently bought a CD of sounds of the Australian bush at night and have been listening to that a lot lately. Pure nature sounds are what I write to and relax with best. =^_^= And I found out by listening to that that Koalas are loud little critters! Instead of a cute squeaky sound like I thought, they make a loud grunting/growling noise to mark out their territories. And curlews are haunting and almost frightening to hear. We heard them on Macleay Island when we visited some friends there.

Well, that's fair enough. 3nodding I like listening to music when it's too quiet and I'm the only one home sometimes. But most of the time I enjoy the peace.

I probably do. Yay! XP Oh well. It's not managed to keep me house bound yet ... and I have no plans of letting it. biggrin

Oh, that can't be fun. They pile so much homework and assignments and stuff on top of you in the final year, it's hard not to suffocate under it. But when you dig your way out to the other side, there's well earned freedom...and new challenges! biggrin

Of course, I can't really say my freedom was 'well earned' lol. I disliked school even though I finished it. I was the only one grinning and celebrating while everyone around me was crying and saying goodbye to friends. Although, I was only in that last highschool for the final year, so I didn't really make strong connections.

Edit: If I killed this thread: I'm very sorry! gonk
