Hedgie quickly replies to the purple fafner. "A bunch, around six, altogether are following. I think a majority of them followed us. We are the larger group and female." She comments," More importantly, Two or three of them are gaining, fast. If we engage, we need to separate them from the others and ambush. Mainly we need to work fast." She says. "I will check quickly for an update." She bounces up a tree, goes a couple trees, then back down to join them. "Two now, the third lagging. The two are about a good ten or twelve trees behind and gaining." She reports breaking a sweat and putting real effort into running.

A figure sped up next to Lohl and he almost jumped out of his skin before he realized it was Reno. Gritting his teeth, he continued on trying to calm his now rapidly beating heart. Clearing his throat, he let his topaz gaze drift to his rebel partner. Did Cerberus ever give us an idea of where to meet him after all this? The words were slightly perturbed. He was still attempting tog et over the fact that they hadn't stayed to fight. It was a matter of pride for him. And what about Cerbeus? At this point, he wasn't sure he trusted the rebel leader fully or not. Only time would tell what their new leader had in store for them. If they lived long enough to see him again, that it. From behind them, the approaching Sentinels seemed slightly further away. Bt not by much.

"Then let us stop."

'Zade halted as quickly as was possible in that brush, turning back around to face the direction that their quarry lay. She knew that it might have been better to give more warning, but, well, they may as well get used to sudden changes. Panting heavily, she cast her light brown eyes into the brush she was now facing. Still nothing could be heard, still no sight of them. Hedgie said they were approaching fast, though, so they had to think fast. To stand and wait, or to run at them? Running at them could give the trio an advantage, but...Sheherezade didn't plan on fighting, so that might not work. It certainly would scare them. Well, time to ask her comrades.

"Run, or stand?" she asked behind her, not yet willing to pull her eyes from the direction of the approaching Sentinels

Syrith whirled round in surprise as her companion stopped abruptly. Fighting to catch her breath and control her temper, she stared at 'Zade, then snarled in annoyance, "Stand, then, seeing as you stopped and lost us our head start!"

She could hear the approaching Sentinels now, coming quickly through the undergrowth towards them. With a glance to either side the huntress assessed the territory. Think of this like a hunt, she told herself, and with that mindset she swiftly formed the outline of a plan. "Hedgie," she said quietly, "get up into the trees again - if they don't see you yet you can surprise them by jumping from above." Hoping that the unpredictable fafner would agree, Syrith turned to Sheherezade and added, "We should hide too, get in the bushes and jump out as they come past. Okay?" Without waiting to see a response, the purple fafner nodded once to her pink companion and ducked into the undergrowth.

It was easy to hide here; there was plenty of vegetation, and as well it was dark in the evening shadow. Also, the Sentinels weren't expecting to have to look for them. Since Syrith had had to double back towards Sheherezade, she knew their trail led past her hiding place - and sure enough the leading sentinel, a pale blue male, didn't even glance in her direction, just carried on through. She waited until she heard his cry of surprise at seeing the trail end, and then she leapt straight for him, claws outstretched.

Hedgie stops with Zade prepared for anything but swiftly the other purple fafner takes control again. She is back in her preferred position, taking orders. She know it is odd but she loves serving and obeying orders to a tee or making sure they are done just so. A small smile lights her face as she doesn't even give an affirmative but disappears up a tree.

She make minimal noise as she shifts to the most appropriate position one where she can see the enemy but it can not see her. She watches as the fastest sentinel comes racing at hyper speed into the path and stops dead when he notices the trail is dead. 'He is a very, very good' she notes to herself. She snaps to attention when she hears the other purple fafner attacking. Hedgie quickly drops down and lands on him. Quickly and effectively she tries to pin down most of his limbs and to get him disabled so no blood will be shed unless chosen to do so. She puts in her two cents and whispers her parting gift in his ear, "You are very very good at what you do." she then waits for someone to decide what to do when the second sentinel races on scene panting.

'Zade smiled a little at Syrith's annoyance, a slightly apologetic look in her eye "Truth be told, we were already losing our lead. Best change pattern while we're ahead."

The pink and cream fafner nodded at Syrith's direction, trusting the Hunter's higher skills. She lept into the shadows with grace, hoping she didn't stick out like a sore thumb - her comrades were dark in color, while she was light. And camouflage had never been her strong point. Staying low to the ground, she waited and watched both the sentinels and Syrith, mentally preparing for the action. The female wasn't exactly sure what she would do, as fighting was out of the question for her....

....though headbutting someone to the ground isn't exactly fighting, just...leaping out at the 'wrong' time!

As the two others quickly assaulted the leading sentinel, 'Zade lept out just as the second one moved in front of her, throwing her full weight into him as she sprung. Her advantage wasn't weight, it was surprise. Head ducked, she rammed him in the side and went tumbling over with him - thankfully it was his body that hit the tree stopping their roll. A little disoriented and with a rather annoying headache she quickly untangled herself and lept away, eyes flitting back and forth between her slowly recovering prey and the other Sentinel. Ok, well, so far so good. She had NO clue what to do next, but...so far so good!

There was something very strange about attacking one of her own kind, but Syrith had no time to think about that as she assisted Hedgie in immobilising the sentinel. The other purple femme seemed to know what she was doing, and Syrith disentangled herself from the pile and left her to it. Even, she thought, 'Zade was doing quite well, for a healer.

For a moment, Syrith was frozen between the two pairs of combatants, then the second sentinel moved and her hunter's instincts kicked in. Leaping across the clearing, she flattened him again. He squirmed underneath her for a couple of moments, but soon stopped when she put one sharp claw to his throat. If he had truly been prey, she would have killed him by now, but... she couldn't bring herself to kill another fafner.

Syrith could hear her own heart pounding as she desperately tried to think. They needed something which would delay the following sentinels as well... killing these two wouldn't work for, that, either. They needed to confuse them. Shaking her head, the bright femme glanced back over her shoulder at Sheherezade. "Get me some vines?" she asked. There was no time to explain wy, but the healer was bright, she would surely guess that Syrith planned to tie them up.

Hedgie watches as the healer tries to help. She can sympathize with her. She IS a healer she must be against her nature. Hedgie simply waits so her target stops struggling. She then watches him carefully. He is probably thinking how to get out of this, or what we are going to do. Both will panic him. She then watches as the other purple fafner quickly with a little struggle takes the other down. She notes 'Good instincts'. She then nods as she panics but gets out a decision. She agrees glad for no blood shed. She executes whatever is ordered but still does not enjoy it. She then waits for the healer to come over there and then here so they can dispose of them. She just hopes the purple fafner knows how to properly tie up another fafner.
