Lassan approached the demon lord hidden in the ethereal plane as he was, he was undetectable, yet he could not kill, only harm and surprise.

Taking his time, he approached Veroen, and standing on the saddle on his horse, drew his sword and began hacking at the demon.

Veroen would feel pain, but see nothing, and he would not bleed or die, for he was in the physical realm, not the metaphysical.

Medb smiled as she saw the assassin that'd blown basically everything up approach Veroen in the ethereal plane. As soon as she spotted him she decided that she'd have a bit of fun and slip into the ethereal as he had to give him a bit more of a challenge. "Silly human," Medb said with a smile as she slipped into the ethereal plane and out of Veroen and Raven's sight, "thought Medb couldn't see you trying to attack Veirrie but you were wrong!" She snickered childishly and began to bound toward him with the grace of a skilled dancer. Her small form moved swiftly through the plane as though her very body was able to cut through it and was unhindered by anything.

As she sprinted toward him, she grinned, bearing her fangs as she drew ever closer toward the assassin. Her grin seemed almost manical and clashed with the fact that she was sprinting toward him so gracefully. Surely such a small thing couldn't be such a beast and surely such a beast couldn't be as graceful as her. A monster indeed and a frightening one at that. Most as they saw her approaching would be either frightened or humoured at the sight of the small she-devil bursting toward them. However, she grew a tad more intimidating when she drew one of her three weapons. She decided that she'd use her chain to pull the silly assassin off of his horse since he was standing on top of it for some unbeknownst reason to her.

Once she was within a twelve foot radius, she sent the chain lashing through the air toward the assassin's ankles with a violent flick of her wrist. There was a tad more power in the lash of the chain than a normal human would be capable of mustering but it was nothing super-powered, merely above average in power and speed. The chain was barbed and if it happened to wrap around his ankles then he would have sore ankles indeed, that was if he had ankles left at all. Medb snickered as her deadly weapon chimed and drew ever closer to the assassin's ankles. She held her position to see what the outcome would be and her manical smile never left her all the while.

Lassan did not notice Medb approaching, or hear her, however his horse did, and when the demon sent out the whip, his horse bucked, sending Lassan and his precarious balance, flying out the window, and sending both the horse and the human flying out of the ethereal plane.

With Lassan's concentration lost, any hold he had on the ethereal was lost, and both he and his horse appeared, right beside Veroen.

Medb cackled at Lassan's pathetic control over his incorporeal form and decided to shift back over to the physical plane to re-join her comrade as well as toy with the assassin some more. She knew that Veroen could handle himself but she decided to have her fun with the assassin and continue to torment him by assailing him with a series of annoyances courtesy of herself. "Hello again," she said with a snicker and a friendly smile which revealed her fangs once again, "silly assassin. You should make up your mind and decide which plane you're going to fight on. Medb's getting sick of chasing you everywhere."

The instant she completed her sentence yet another lash of her chain was sent forth by her own will and again going for the humans ankles. She was merely playing with him for if she was actually meaning to kill him she wouldn't even bother with his ankles and would go straight for the throat, which would be crushed and punctured by her barbed chain. This time, however, there was no warning that spewed from her mouth as she initiated her attack and the chain was much quieter now that it wasn't echoing in the ethereal plane. It made a small swishing sound and that was about it.

Lassan had leapt to his feet as soon as he hit the ground, rolling once and springing up. He saw the demon appear and when the chain was sent outwards towards him, instead of dodging or blocking, he let the chain wrap around one armored ankle, and pulled with the full force of his leg.

At the same time, he sheathed his sword and withdrew a vial of acid, throwing it directly at the demoness.

Medb smiled as the assassin decided to acknowledge her existence and actually do something about the fact that she was constantly on his back annoying him. When he tugged the chain, she merely allowed him to pull her along until his leg ceased to swing and when that happened, she once again tugged the chain with all her might. Had it been a normal chain, it would have fallen off when she'd allowed it to go slack but since it was a barbed chain, it'd remained in place and she was pulling it once again now that the assassin's leg was in the air. As for his acid, well, he'd actually done the work of dodging it for her by tugging her out of the way so she hadn't been required to deal with his little obstacle.

Lucian held his hands above his head, and then directed them at the ground. He launched his Fire Pillar, propelling him into the air the split second before the Pillars of energy hit. He knew that that was the act of a Powerful demon, and looked up, he held one of his metallic fingers to the side of his head, and contacted Yinter, Yinter, look at the Sky, are there any demons? Only one sir, but he looks powerful, be careful Lucian grinned, and said "Time to take out this demonic b*****d" He decided the best method was to try and get the demon down to him.

He held his wrists together, releasing a pillar of fire towards the Demon's location which had been describe to him by Yinter. He then squinted, and managed to make out the outline of the Demon. He withdrew four of his most Explosive Vials, and threw them in the air around the demon, trying to blow off the things wings; He couldn't see that Alasdair used a totally different system of flight. Due to his Metal arms he managed to use extra force in the throw, managing to get them around Waist height onto Alasdair.

Alasdair’s crimson eyes saw a pillar of fire burst up from the ground; he watched it carefully after his own pillars of energy inflicted heavy casualties on the human numbers. He saw that there was a metallic suit riding the fire towards him, he could only see a hint that there was a man there but as soon as he saw a few oncoming vials he smiled. He smiled not because he wanted the man to fight back, but because when he was enraged by the violence committed against his brethren, he took great pleasure in killing humans. The demon did not want to wait and see what the vials contained, but Alasdair did not dodge them completely in time. Because as soon as he saw the vials were headed to his waist he shot upwards, using the propulsion of his feet to rocket him upwards. And as soon as the explosion happened, the fire caught the edge of his long cloak.

Alasdair was now ten feet above his previous position, and pissed because his cloak smelled like ash. So Alasdair looked down to the man and let out a piercing scream, a battle cry. He repositioned himself so that his body was aimed at him and he flew towards the pillar, stretching his arms towards the man. As soon as his arms were aimed at the man, two purple and black rays of raw energy erupted from his hands and towards the man.

This demon may have had Magic, but Lucian had Human technology, and that included his handy little tubes in his arms. He saw the two beams, and fired the Pillar in another direction, managing to blast himself away from it just in time, the only downside being the holes in his jacket. He grinned, and roared his own battle cry, flipping, he blasted the Pillar again, rocketing towards the demon. He couldn't stay in the air for long and was at a disadvantage up here; He couldn't attack and fly at the same time, a problem he needed to fix eventually, but for now he had to find a way of getting the Demon to the ground. He crushed the Vials in his hands, the Liquid reacted with the flammable gas, sending a purple and bright green flame towards Alasdair. It was laced with bright blue, and shot forwards extremely quickly, it sent him towards the ground pretty damn fast, so he had to quickly switch his arm position, making him shoot back up into the air.

Alasdair looked forward at the human as his energy rays missed the human and came crashing into the mass of soldiers. The demon smiled; even if he had missed he had killed humans. But there was more gained from that missed attacks than just the dwindling of numbers. The demon understood the human’s flight. The human was not a mage; he was more of an engineer. His flight was simple propulsion. His flight capability and maneuverability was infinitely inferior to his, and the demon loved this.

The demon was flying diagonally towards the man, so as soon as he saw the green flame shoot towards him, he simply changed direction. He drastically dove to towards the ground to dodge his attack. As soon as the fire had passed him he shot straight up again, like making a u in mid air. As soon as he was looking at the man again, he shot two more energy rays down to him. He made sure that if the man missed, more casualties would be inflicted.

Lucian decided to inflict casualities of his own, he crushed more vials, sending purple and green flames down at the demons, incincerating them almost immediately. This attack sent him far into the air, giving him time to throw down some Noxious poisons onto the Enemies. He could hear their agonized chokes and laughed gleefully, his eyes glinting with battle-rage as he started to fall back towards the ground. He decided it was time to pull out his secret weapon. He pulled off the massive belt of Vials, and poured them all into the tube which had been measured to fit them. He waited for the right moment, then put his wrists together. The massive pillar was around the size of an entire Demonic platoon it annihilated every demon it hit, which was quite a hefty number. He closed his eyes and grinned as he felt himself shoot up into the air, he passed the demon without a glance, and was silhoutted against the sky as he fired one last massive pillar. This was always a risky move but if he could at least injure this demon he would leave a happy little Technomaniac. The fire pillar shot directly towards Alasdair, and he widened it slightly, making sure that the Demon wouldn't escape without at least one singed hair.

Veroen silently watched as Raven's steed flew full force into the blast. He also noticed that Raven had emitted a counter spell of light to try and black his attack. Her nightmare horse flew directly into the spear of darkness that he had conjured from the darkness of his sword. The Nightmare steed instantly collided with it, sending the steed crashing to the ground, obviously injured, but not enough to kill it. Ravens light had indeed negated his shadow lightning, but he wasnt finished yet. He also noticed that Lassan had began to try to hack and slash at him, for he sensed it. He must have been in the ethereal plane, for he did not see him. He silently did nothing as he began to feel the human assassin hack at him. He silently nodded as he saw Medb also go into the ethereal plane. He looked back at Raven, the flash of light still coming forth from her hand. He smiled to himself, silently disappearing into a cloud of black shadow.

He reappeared about 2 feet behind Raven, and with his left hand, outstretched his hand, controlling the shadow around him, making it form around Raven's hands. This completely stopped the light that she had emitted from her hand. While he did this, he swiftly put his sword to her neck as she lay on the ground, and kicked her staff off into the ruins. He smiled, and looked down at her, and wondered what she would do now.

"I told you earlier that it was a mistake to challenge a Demon Lord. I regret to inform you, however, that this battle between you and I, is over..." he spoke to her with a smooth, yet intimidating voice. "If you wish to keep this up, I will have to kill you. Do not test my patience. I suggest you leave now. And take your little Assassin friend with you, before my comrade decides to devour him..." he finished, glancing for a split second toward Medb and Lassan. He looked back down at Raven once more, and smirked, as he took his sword from her throat, and swung the hilt of his sword at the back of her head, intending to knock her out so he could leave with Medb.

(( Nightmare wasn't galloping, just rearing. And Raven is now standing. She got up after she was knocked from her mount. Just FYI. ))

This guy wasn't giving Raven enough credit for what she was. Although she was human, she was still an Arch-mage, and therefore dangerous. Even more so to him, she studied in shadow and light manipulation Raven knew where he was going to go, the movement of the shadows told her. It was a trick she sometimes used to get out of menial chores that she didn't want to do. So she turned around just barely in time to face Veroen, her palm outstretched.

When he engulfed her hand in shadow after placing the blade on her neck, she wasn't too concerned. However the lord seemed to think she only had the use of one hand. Stupid man, as he rambled on she shifted nervously on her feet causing a small cut between her shoulder on his blade, blood trickled down her arm to her free hand, and she shivered making little scared little whimpering sounds. Forcing herself to stay still until the blood reached her free hand's fingertips.

"keep talking... just keep talking..."

She thought impatiently as the blood finally reached her hand about the time he was saying something about killing her. She hurriedly drew a simple circle of power on her pant leg in blood, giving it simple Celtic knots for defense. Thankfully she still wore her cloak so it hid her movements and the circle itself. She would have to do this without saying a word to keep the element of surprise, that's why she wanted the circle, as a focus. Just as Veroen raised his sward to knock her out she tapped the circle on her leg with her middle finger to invoke it, using her own blood for power.

A shield was raised, about as wide around as her forearm, focused on her wrist like a knight's shield, only invisible and virtually weightless. It wasn't vary big, but then again it didn't have to be. She dropped to her knee and raised her arm, slamming her eyes shut in fear as the blade clashed with the unseen shield. It held! Thank the gods! After a cupple seconds she opened one eye and finally dared to take a breath as she looked up at the Demon lord. Raven looked rather smug about her little shield.

Alasdair saw with glee as his two massive rays crashed down and exploded within the human ranks. There were two explosions, lifeless bodies flying in the air and crashing into those remaining soldiers. He was happy that he had inflicted so much damage upon the human lines, if this kept up the fight would be over soon and everyone could go back to their own realms.

But then something happened that angered the demon lord beyond limit. The human general began fighting the troops on the ground instead of fighting Alasdair. It was Alasdair’s duty to protect the demons, and he would be dammed if a human will do as he wills with his comrades while fighting him. But there was no time to think twice, since the human had already fired a gigantic pillar of fire.

How foolish of the human. Firing such a massive amount of energy towards the demon, that would only strengthen him. He took a second to think what to do with the oncoming pillar of fire. He could absorb the energy and be fleshless for a few days, he could do his best to dodge it- but it would leave him vulnerable, or he could just power on through.

It was the latter option which he chose. Alasdair’s crimson eyes stared at the pillar that was coming down to him. He grinned and pointed his forefinger at the very center and shot a thin ray of raw energy. Now the ray was not very powerful when it came out of his finger, but it would absorb energy from the pillar of fire as it sailed through it. It was meant to pick up speed and power, so it would reach the human in a matter of seconds with enough power to tear through any metal and the humans flesh.

Alasdair grinned and as soon as the ray left his hand he launched behind the bullet like attack. As he flew towards the fire he created a skin tight energy shield around his entire flesh. It would only protect his hair and flesh, no clothing. So Alasdair flew through the fire, absorbing energy from the fire and having his clothes burned off in the process. But he followed closely behind his attack, with his fist cocked back so as soon as his eyes set on the man he would unleash another attack. This time the attack was a simple punch to the chest, but this punch carried an orb of raw energy around his fist that would make the fist at least dent the metal and send the human crashing to the ground.

Lucian scowled, and leant backwards, the ray going a few inches over him. He scowled at that seeing as he was using all of his Vials and most of his Gasoline, and it probably was just powering that son of a b***h even more. He decided he had to do something about this, but he saw the Demon as it raised its fist, and decided to start with his own little tricks. He dodged by simply leaning backwards, he then grabbed the vial around his neck and crushed it, the Oceanic Fora making him adapt to his enviroment, which in this case was the Air. He squinted, and wings ripped from his back, spreading across the air, and making him no longer need the propulsion system. He grinned, and rose into the air, the wings flapping lazily as he did. They were incredibly leathery and looked resistant to a common little sword, but he would have to be careful around the magic attacks. He soared downwards, and sent out a thin and concentrated blast of Fire, this one tinted with a yellowish quality because the Chemicals had all been used apart from a few traces of it. He didn't stop, then turned around and did it again, this time the flame was blue, finding a small trace as well. He was running out of chemical, in a few attacks he would have to return to using ordinary flames, which was a disadvantage he didn't want.
