I'd say humanity in general, but mostly retarded fangirls. Nothing unusual in that respect, and most of those are "Oh god, people would hate me if they knew I was attracted to this fictional character that was obviously designed to be attractive!"

Oh. Fandom. Fandoms are wonderful, aren't they? The loopy people I've met out there are precisely what make me afraid of ever going to a con. Although, I suppose I would be safe enough if I dressed normally... But what is the fun of doing that in a setting where it is socially acceptable to dress like a retard? Not getting glomped by strangers with poor hygiene, I guess...

Wolffy000
But then there is the ever creepy, "I want to ******** someone because they make videos on the internet." "I've never seen X person but based on their voice I want them to ******** me." and "I'm not gay but I really want to see X person/character humiliated and raped."

That middle one didn't work out quite so well for the Phantom of the Opera. (Oh, c'mon. You knew that one was coming.) And don't tell me you've never wanted to ******** someone you'd never met. =P Although, I guess if the sole reason for said wanting to ******** is that they upload to youtube, then... yeah, that is a little sad.

Wolffy000
Hell, there was one that was like, "I'm really glad to be going to a women's college because fanfiction shows the unconditional love and amazing things a society of women could accomplish together."

What the ******** is wrong with people?

I saw that one. It made me facepalm so hard I left a mark. I also saw the one where she said she wished she could find the Vampire Diaries book fandom and thought "O hay I know." But no. Considering all of the completely retarded tv show fans who manage to find it, I wonder at your google-fu if you have searched for it and cannot.

And it's times like those that make me happy to be a man. Most people think well enough to keep their distance. I'd say that cons probably aren't that bad, but there really is a world of difference between being a man at a con and a woman. Then again, women deal with creepy men of all ages because they have a v****a; and men deal with creepy (usually underaged) fangirls because they kinda sorta look like a guy they have an obsession with.

Typically I want to ******** people I know, as I actually have some reason to be attracted to them. But even when I do, it's not as if I feel any obsession over the fact that I need to be anguished and post anonymously about it over the internet. And, you know, I usually feel attracted for them for a few more reasons than "They made a funny video online."

We are talking about people who leave anonymous "secrets" on livejournal about fandoms. I honestly don't think you can go any lower.

Wolffy : I spare my sanity by refraining asking myself "What's wrong with people?" because I know, inherently that there's ******** up people out there and there's not much I can do about it beside avoiding them like the plague when I found some ******** up people.

You know, I do accept that about most people. I'm pretty ******** up myself, as are most people I know. But then sometimes you just run into something that catches you so off guard and it just ******** floors you.

And the internet is magical when it comes to those people.

Actually, the Internet just give a lovely window to show up how ******** up one is. A very readily available window.

I still recall, back in 1995, how wonderful the Internet is, how in awe I weas when I discovered a website from an University in Vienna and the beauty of emails and all. Soon enough tho, I also discovered the ugly side of the Internet (gallerygore.com comes in mind).

But, back then, your had to master the html and find yourself a hosting server and voilĂ . No censorship, no credit billing in order to easily access porn, etc... It was freedom of expression at it's most purest and crudest form at once. Nowadays, you have much more easier tools for building sites, fanpage and all, but censorship crept its way in the Internet, killing it's neutrality. But that's a whole other debate and I'm straying away from the topic.

I understand that yes, there's many ******** up people out there in using the net for odd purpose, but that's yesterday news and I've grown a skin. And really, if I catch someone trying to glomb my 35 years old a**, if I ever go to a con, he'll gets one heck of a "For ******** Sake" scream

Even if they left those anonymous "secrets" on Myspace?

I've never posted to something like that, though I've considered Post Secret on occasion.

Sometimes there are just things you don't feel you can trust your friends/family with, but is burning a hole in you. Something you have to get out there in some form. Even fandom related.

Now, admittedly I think quite a few of the people that posted to that are complete idiots. But that's why they're saying it in a place where they are anonymous.

Because if people like us took cracks at them while they're anonymous, just think of how they would feel if they were saying it publicly.

Dude, tell me that someone here is watching Regular Show. This show is so awesome, it's better than your face. It's the kind of show I've been waiting for for years (considering everything on television sucks nowadays.) Man ... that and MAD. And Adventure Time. Cartoon Network is so awesome to me right now.

Oh look, a Xani! I've had this song stick in my head for the past few days, and I dunno why, but it reminded me of you. I think we used to joke about being "oh so goffik" or something. Man, it's pretty bad when Voltaire himself corrects your youtube vid and you don't fix it. xd

Haha. That site is actually pretty funny, though. This one killed me. And the one about teaching high, because I'm pretty sure I had teachers who did that. Well, the one was just so burned out, he probably just seemed high. Poor guy. He'd always talk to me after class and you just couldn't get it through his rambling that "Hey, I'm gonna be late for my next class." So I'd have to walk out on him, and I'm pretty sure he stood there talking to the air until his next class came. I felt bad, but what can you do?

Oh geez...

Prosecutors said both defendants are associated with Goatse Security, a group of "self-professed Internet 'trolls'" who try to disrupt online content and services. They said Auernheimer has bragged in published interviews about his trolling.

Brute force hackers. gonk

The part that gets me is that they kept reprinting "goatse" so you know people are gonna start googling that like hell now.

Hilarious.

A wild Xani appears!

Heh heh heh, oh so goffik. User Image I hadn't heard that song before.

Post Secret has its ups and downs. From an outside perspective, some of them are rather amusing... but I can also see why a lot of them could be really upsetting. It often makes me feel a little better about my own personal demons to see that others have ways of admitting theirs, even if it's anonymously.

My recent lack of appearance has been less about lurking and more about Gaia's stupid flash banners crashing Firefox. Ah well.
