The Count emerged from the sewers and wasted little time getting to his apartment. He did however do the standard hiding procedures. He moved through alley's went over buildings and even at one point walked completely through the Iceberge Lounge but he was not there long enough to notice or be noticed by anyone. Then when he finally reached his apartment he took his time going up the stairs. Once the door had been unlocked Edmond pulled off his mask and threw it aside relishing in the breeze of air on his face again. It had been a long night. in his haste and excitement he had forgotten about his meeting with the girl he met at the Iceberge Lounge. Something he would regret but could easily fix. Edmond removed the suit he wore and hung it up with the other ones. He had a few but all had a tear or bullet hole somewhere. He would need to repair them and when he did he would likely modify them. Just a little something to aid his fights. He then removed the wrist guards containing one projectile arrow. He had used the arrow from those some time ago but he did not remember when. Once he had showered and cleaned up the wounds he had Edmond returned to his computer. He typed in a message and sent it to the email Emily had contacted him with. It simply read Title: There Are More Than Rats In The Sewer From: J0hn Dø3 Message: We need to set up a meeting very soon. I have discovered something troubling but am not sure how to proceed. I would send you the information but I can not be sure how secure it is.
- Monte Cristo
After the message was sent Edmond moved over to his workshop. This time instead of working on arrows he was crafting a larger quiver so he could hold more of the previous. He did not know about the symbiotes who had gotten through the door and were coming after him. After some time his phone beeped and he looked at it. The information on The Ripper had fully downloaded. He felt like an idiot now. His phone would have solved so many problems in the lab. After wallowing in sadness for less than a few seconds he returned to his work on the quiver.

Edmond wasn't alone for very long. A few minutes after he had begun working on his new quiver, there was a noise that came from the enterance. Like a chair that had been scooted across the floor somewhere close to the doorway. The door was still closed and locked, but there was a large inky black puddle hiding underneath a chair that had been moved. At the same time, the Count recieved a reply back from Emily. Title: Fly on the Wall From: P1nK_3pY Message: I can come over tonight on my way home if you are available. I went out to get in some extra hours at work. - E

Edmond heard the alert telling him he had received an email. However he also heard another noise, one slightly more quiet. A noise that made him alert again. He rushed with his next actions. First he completed the quiver making it sturdy enough and large enough. Then he filled it with arrows of all sorts. The quiver fit three times more than he had been hoping and he was glad about that, but not enough to distract him. Edmond then proceeded into the closet. The count once more dawned his mask and suit. The Count felt his time running low so he left the closet and moved over to his computer. This apartment had been good to him but it was also now to risky to remain here. He would return to the last base he had in Gotham. Making this sadly the second he had lost. Edmond quickly typed a message in response to Emily and once that was done he set the room to self-destruct hoping that whatever was outside would see the room go up in flames and hope think he had died as well. Title: I Am Not Alone From: J0hn Dø3 Message: I feel someone has gotten into my apartment building. They likely followed me here. I will send the information to a friend. He is a lawyer who moved here recently. The law firm he owns is located in the northern section of Gotham. It is a big building so it will be easy to find. He works on the top floor. I do this only so that I do not put you at risk. I am sorry for any inconvenience this change may have cause.
- Monte Cristo Edmond grabbed the bow he kept here and his phone then turned the stove's gas on as high as he could. After a few moments when everything had transfered to his mobile device Edmond escaped out of the window. It was a short fall and did not hurt giving him the chance to run immediately after touching down on the ground. Which he did. He ran as fast as he could towards the law firm hoping he could lose anything following him. He would normally not have been so drastic but he had been through a lot today. Once he was about a block away the computer let off a spark igniting the gas and setting the room ablaze burning all paper files, outfits and other materials inside the room. He didn't mind though. His hideouts all contained the same materials and outfits. The one at the firm just had everything hidden and presented far better in his office.

Very... very unfortunately, the intruder wasn't who the Count had feared it was. The inky black puddle hiding under the chair moved awkwardly until if found it's way out from under the thing. It then lifted into the air, and the little girl took her normal form again. She rubbed her head, checking for a bump as she glared at the stupid chair. When the two little girls finally made it back to the streets, the little inque Rosie was still worried that they had just left the man behind to his death. The other, confident in her abilities to go anywhere she wanted and NOT get caught, convinced the other to go back to her hide out to hide. Rosie had left her double to go back into the laboratory... with the knowledge of how to get back to the apartment. There, the child had hid in her room. Keeping watch under her door to see if anything happened around the Count's room. When the child heard noise in the hall, then spotted light coming from under the crack in the Count's doorway, she had decided to go and check on him. Her own paranoia caught up with her though once she reached his door. Unsure if it was really him or someone from the Lab... she decided to slip inside rather than knock on the door. If it was a guard from the lab, she didn't want to be caught again. So she had slipped under the door, and quickly moved to the corner where she could solidify herself again. Which was unfortunately under a chair that she didn't notice until she nearly knocked it over thanks to trying to grow underneath it. Now she was inside the Count's apartment, looking around to see if he was here. She was hoping he was... and whoever was here not be someone from the Lab. She wasn't sure how they would know to come here, but they did have a lot of security cameras tapped on the surface. Not seeing anyone rush out to meet her immediately, she began walking deeper into the apartment. "Hello?" she called out. Meanwhile, another little girl was making her way down the streets of Gotham. This one smiling smugly to herself as she flipped her fingers through a stack of money hidden inside her pocket. She had to admit... she felt pretty good about herself right now. If it hadn't been for her, their new friend would have been stuck in the laboratory and symbiote fodder right now. Felt kind of bad for her one duplicate that got left behind... but she should be alright. Maybe. Hopefully. Probably wasn't a good idea to go back to the Lab EVER now... Oh well. Now she needed to go to the apartment complex Inky had told her about and check up on her. If she was lucky she'd run into the costume there as well. Hm... they had a LOT of medicine in that bag... lot Inky wasn't going to need. Wonder if they'd be able to do anything with all of... That's when she heard the explosion. She wasn't aware that it came from the very place she was heading towards, but she did know that explosions weren't a good thing. Next would be police and crowds and... just a lot of activity. She needed to hurry up and get to that apartment.

Despite his misjudgment that he did not know about the Count continued to make his way towards the office. When he arrived he took the elevator. It was too late at night for anyone around to still be working other than he who owned the building and had set up the schedules with the intent of no one being here at night for he would use the building as a base. It was a only a few dozen blocks from the apartment he had set up but he was sure he had hidden his tracks. When he reached the top floor he made a b-line for his office in the corner. From the outside it seemed very large and it should, it was his building, however on the inside it seemed smaller. Not to say there was little room because that was not the truth. There was still plenty of room. However it was the walls that created this optical illusion. They were all two feet wide, made to conceal his weapons and costumes. He had a bow under his desk and arrows strapped up next to it. this was as close as he had to a batcave and it was hidden in plane sight. Needless to say the walls contained secret compartments with all of his things and when his door was shut the room was completely soundproof. Still during the say he risked a coworker walking in which is why he had created a knocking policy. That stunning information aside Edmond walked over to the right wall and pressed down on the wooden frame. Next to his a panel popped back and he slid it to the right. Behind the panel all his costumes were stored. He took off his mask and suit jacket setting them in the compartment then he put the bow and quiver in there respective locations. He was very organized and made sure everything was locked before sitting at his desk and pulling up a case file. Honestly the rest of the room was not much to brag about. He had his desk, his cabinet full of paperwork, and a bunch of trophies for various things. it was rather normal. The file he pulled up was the one he had created on the Ripper. A serial killer he found himself unable to catch in either aspect of his life. Inside the law, and outside. It was as he pondered this problem that he remembered another. Rosie. She had been living across from him, it could have been she who had come over. But it was to late. Far to late for him to do anything. He couldn't blow his cover and he couldn't go back out without risking being seen and followed. However he did want to find hope the Rosie would be okay. He quickly left his office and used the stairs to reach the roof. Once he was there he stood looking towards the fire in the distance. He needed a sign, anything but did not know if she would be able to give one. He had left little there to work with.

Rosie hurried down the street until she came to the store that Inky had told her about. It was a family owned grocery store with a customized sign outside the window. Rather hard to miss if you knew to look for it. Once she was outside the store, she turned towards the street and looked towards an intersection across from her. Confirming that she was on the right street as well, she went about crossing the road. The apartment complex should be just in the middle of the next street. It was... it was also on fire. Rosie stared up at the building for a moment, then took a second inspective look at her surroundings. Hoping that she was mistaking the building. After confirming that there was no other apartment complex on this street... and that she WAS on the right street, she looked back at the flaming building. Still not quite convinced, she shoved her hand into her pocket and pulled out a crumpled up dollar bill. An few names were written on it, and she double checked the street and apartment name again. This was it... this was the right place. And it was... on fire. People were lining the street. Some had come out of other buildings to see the blaze, and most had apparently evacuated the apartment complex. There was no sign of a little girl in red and white anywhere... not even one that was liquidy and inky black. Afraid that Inky might be hiding inside somewhere still, Rosie started running towards the building. Part way there, her body faded out of sight. With all the people standing around, it would be better to be invisible right now. She didn't want to get caught or stopped from going inside. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ Meanwhile, Emily finally replied back. Title: Thin Ice Name: PinK_3py Message: I'd be treading very thin ice going to a lawyer, especially one that isn't on the boss's pay role. I can't risk being seen going to one by anyone that works for my boss or my attacker. I'd have to be... in full costume. -E

Edmond stood on the roof watching the fire unarmed aside from the mechanisms under his sleeves that held and fired on arrow each. He always wore them incase he could not get to his bow. Unfortunately the arrows were smaller so he could not create as wide a variety as he could with normal arrows. His phone beeped and he looked at Emily's response. It was a fair point so he would not argue. He pulled a bluetooth from his pocket and put it on his ear. It would provide useful in the meeting. The lawyer typed his reply and sent it before returning his focus to the fire. Title: As You Wish Name: J0hn Dø3 Message: I understand. Go to him when you can I will call him via bluetooth and talk through him. I will know when you arrive. He wont so try not to startle him. He spends most nights on the rooftop looking over the city. Oddly a lot like I do but for different reasons. The building has a standard security system with no cameras. Getting in should not be hard. - Monte Cristo

ENTER from Iceberg Lounge It didn't take long for the emergency help to arrive. The crowds outside the building moved away as the flashing vehicles pulled as close to the blaze as they could. The fire trucks doing the best they could to put the blaze out while heavily clothed firemen hurried inside. A few came back guiding tenants out of the building and leading them towards waiting paramedics. None of whom were little girls. There was no sign of either of the two girls anywhere near the building. With as brightly colored as 2.0 was, she would have been hard to miss, even in the crowd. The first girl the Count had met could easily hide herself with as dark as it was right now. Though the lights around the building would surely give her away at least some. But... there was no sign of them yet. And the firemen were probably just getting to tackling the blaze from the inside by the looks of the flames. Emily never responded back back either, and it was quite some time before there was any hint that she might meet with him tonight. That hint came in the form of movement from atop another rooftop not far from the blaze. A figure wearing an oddly colored suit had just landed on the rooftop next to the blaze. It was dark, almost blended in perfectly to the surroundings... but when it moved was as though the suit needed a moment to adjust to the change in color. As the figure glanced over the edge, the blaze made the figure more visible. The suit was almost armored, and covered from head to toe. It was sleek and agile, but the torso looked a bit padded. As though it were bullet proofed or padded for comfort. The figure moved away from the edge, then looked around. It spotted the tall building Edmond was standing on, and after a moment seemed to focus straight on him. It paused there a moment, then took one last look down at the blaze. As though it were trying to scan for anyone of interest there as well. //// battery's dying, I'll move Emily out of the Lounge next time. ///

Edmond remained on the roof listening to the noise in the streets bellow. He saw the firefighters trying to put down the flames but he knew they would not. the fire was created to burn until there was nothing left in the room. Then it would stop and they had a chance to put it out. Otherwise it would continue to re-ignite. He watched in silence looking for either of the girls but never saw one. There was no sign that either of them were in the fire or had been in the fire but he knew one of them had to be there. He just had that unfortunate luck. However as he searched his gaze fell upon a figure standing on a rooftop. It was not one of the Rosies and so he returned his focus to the fire. He didn't pay much mind to the figure after that because he had not see it look directly at him.

Emily continued to focus in on the fire. The suit she was currently wearing was connected to her main computer back at her base, giving her access to a few features she normally would have needed extra equipment for. Locating heat signatures and bodies within the building was quite a task with how hot the blaze was burning, but she didn't feel right in leaving until she could account that there was no one actually inside the burning room, or trapped elsewhere. Firemen were trying to battle the blaze and keeping well away from the danger spots... a few were going room to room checking to make sure the building was evacuated. It looked like there was a little girl in one of the rooms, but a fire fighter was just about to go into that room... so she should be fine. There was also... something in the burning room. It wasn't moving, and the signature it was giving off was confusing the ID program in her helmet. It was wanting to say that there was a figure in the room, but something about it was indicating that it wasn't human. Or... wasn't alive. It could have been a doll or something. She was.... really hoping it wasn't the 'not alive' option that was confusing her computer. But... it was possible. And it was life. Couldn't help everyone... and it looked like everyone else was alright and on their way out of the building. Content that there was nothing more she could do, and was not needed, Emily turned her attention back onto the man on the roof. The computer had identified the building as a law firm... and found someone standing on the roof as the Count had said there would be. It was safe to assume that was the man she was supposed to meet with. Her spy bug hadn't indicated that Vandal had left the room yet, so she should still have time to meet without being distracted. So... the stealth suited figure moved to the far edge of the rooftop away from the blaze and spectators, and began making her way towards the large building via roof-hopping. She'd been informed that the security was easy to pass by, and normally she'd wait in someone's office for a more private meeting. But... since she was being asked to come to help with something... she should probably make a better first impression than breaking and entering. She was fully suited... the padding she wore to care for her back made it hard to tell that she was female until she was standing close to someone. She... shouldn't have much at all to worry about if someone seen her on the rooftop.

As he watched the fire Edmond seemed to be in a sort of trance. He did not notice the figure moving from rooftop to rooftop to get closer to him. After a while he turned away from the fire. Rosie had no way to contact him, even if she did survive the fire. She would have to catch him when he was the Count not Edmond Dantes. With his mind elsewhere Edmond began to pace back and forth on the rooftop. He took his phone out and created a file labeled, Secret Lab. Then he impute all the information he could remember from his visit. He had a basic layout of a few hallways and rooms but none of it could be accurate seeing as he had been lead astray by illusions several times. Once he had nothing left to add he put his phone away and returned his gaze to the fire.

It was around that time that Emily finally reached the tall building. Being taller than the buildings closest to it, she'd have to climb up the side of the building to try and get to the rooftop. Not that much of a problem, she'd done it many, many times before. But... she wasn't quite dressed to scale buildings. That suit was still back at her hide out. She had planned more for stealth than climbing when she left, so this was going to take a bit longer than it normally would have. Along with a bit more... strain than she cared to have to do. All she had to go on was a noisy grappling hook and pully system in her belt that she'd have to still physically climb up the wall with. .... and with her back... Emily stared up at the good couple of stories she'd have to climb, and decided to veto her previous decision of not breaking and entering. She was taking the stairs up. At least to the top floor where she'd only have to go from the window to the roof if she needed. And that's just what she did. Finding an open or unlockable window was easy enough, and the suit had enough grip on it to help her get to and stay on a window ledge until she found an accessible rout. From there, she crept inside and hid for a moment to allow her suit to adjust to it's "indoor" chameleon function. As long as she kept close to the walls, the suit should have an easier time blending in to the colors around it. She didn't have time to try and hack into the security feed, and she didn't much need to for this task. Her suit should make her virtually undetectable, and she wasn't going to be breaking into any rooms. If she was seen later on camera, she'd likely look more like some ghostly shadow moving across the wall. Once her suit began to turn color, she crept close to the wall and silently moved down the hall. It took another moment for DISC to locate the stairwell. Once it did, she made her way a little more quickly towards her new rout to the rooftop. Once inside the stairwell, she worried less about being seen on camera, and quickly made her way up the stairs. Her boots kept her footsteps padded and quiet, leaving no stomping clomps to echo throughout the building. Surprisingly one of her favorite little features. It made sneaking around so much easier when you didn't have to worry about boots on concrete.

Edmond had been staring at the fire for some time before he finally saw the blaze begin to die. The fire had not been controlled enough. It should have staid in the room. Fireproof didn't mean what it should have and so the fire had branched out a bit. Luckily it had been taken care of. Emily had also been doing well. Edmond received no notice about any alarms being tripped but he didn't expect any. At most he was expecting a camera to detect her but none of these events occurred as he paced back and forth. It was not very cold on the roof but a chill was present. There was a great view of Gotham but not the best in the city. The Wayne Enterprises building had that view. Edmond moved closer to the edge and looked downwards at the ground far bellow thinking about how the slightest jump or slip would send him tumbling to his death. then he took a step back.

Just in time for the door leading to the rooftop to snap open. Emily grimmaced from behind her helmet. The door had been left unlocked, so she had decided to just use the door instead of finding a window to go around. She hadn't expected the door to be so... old though. It looked newer, but the handle and hinges screeched when they moved. Not the quietest enterance she had ever had... but at least she wasn't going to sneak up on whoever was on the roof. To make sure she didn't, she deactivated the chameleon feature her suit had as she swung the door all the way open. The suit turned a deep pink and white color, and the face of the helmet turned black and reflective. Satisfied that her suit was "normal" again, she looked towards the only other person on the roof. Not sure if the man was jumpy around new costumes, she kept to the doorway. "Need to get this thing oiled." she said casually... her voice coming out deep and muffled. Right, noise cancelling... she held up her finger for a moment, then fidgeted with the bottom part of her helmet. The bottom part of the helmet dropped out, and she sighed. "Sorry. Thing's built to be as quiet as possible." she said. Her voice clear now.

Edmond heard the door screeching open and knew who was coming up. He turned to face her about when she made the comment about the door needing to be oiled. It had been muffled but he understood most of it. "It wasn't exactly a pressing matter. People wanted better offices so I provided. No one complained about a squeaky door." Edmond explained why the status of the door was how it was before taking another step away from the edge. He put both hands behind his back to be sure the gantlets holding the arrows were covered completely. Then he tapped the bluetooth on his ear to make it seem as if he had connected to a call. Now he could speak as just himself and feel little need to worry. Luckily for him his voice sounded different enough now than it did when he was wearing his mask. "Silent is good. Keeps me from having to explain why someone in a suit came into and out of the building unharmed without any security check ins. "
