The scan said I had one of those on my computer. Fake malicious ads that are there to try and make you think they're a real problem when they actually just want to to buy their product.
I removed it like everything else though.

I run my computer without a firewall or anything kind of e-protection.
What doesn't kill my computer only makes it stronger, right?

"Sbybot - Search and Destroy" and "Ad-Aware" are more or less the best of the free ones you can get.

No, "Adware" is spyware. "Ad-Aware" is a scanning program that removes that junk from your computer.

Ad-aware puts junk on your computer. It's exactly what Baldy said. It also clogs up a lot of resources for what little utility it has.
